What size does the recovery partition need to be for Lion or Mt Lion?
Maybe I'm approaching the problem the wrong way. My problem is that I installed a new HDD in my laptop after cloning it to a backup drive, and I wanted to install the OS after formatting the drive using Disk Utilities from my desktop machine. Since I had Lion installed from the App Store as a paid download, I thought I'd start with a freshly downloaded install of Lion, but I can't access the internet directly with my laptop since it has no OS or apps. So I'm downloading Lion to my desktop machine hoping to install it on my laptop as a Target HD. Is that possible? Does the App Store download allow choosing which drive to install on?

I found a nice menu that I'd like to use with a BluRay disk, but it is in SD 4x3 format. I have sized it in Photoshop to 1920 x 1080, but it comes up with black spaces on the left and right of the screen. What do I need to resize it to in order to fill the screen?

I have imported AVCHD MTS files from a Sony camera into CS4. The audio is fine but, completely out of sync with the footage before or after editing.
I've looked through the forum and tried a few ideas but can't seem to get the right answer for my situation.
Please help girl going mad.

I've used all of the AVCHD settings in Premiere CS4 i.e. all four 1080i settings and all five 1080p settings.
The audio is fine but the picture cannot keep up with the audio.

I installed MT 10.8.1 and then I updated to 10.8.2 how do I updated the recovery partition to the latest release?
If the recovery partition needed updating, it would have been updated with the update.
The OS installer isn't on the Recovery HD, if that is what you are thinking. -

I'm new to Macs and I installed the OSX mavericks update on my 2012 Macbook pro 13 inch. I want to get a fresh start and want to restore my computer using the recovery partition. So does the recovery partition then reinstall mavericks on my mac or does the partition still only install mountain lion.

the contents of the Recovery HD partition will be upgraded whenever you upgrade (rather than update) your version of OS X. Thus, when you upgraded to Mavericks from Mountain Lion, your Recovery HD partition was also upgraded to have Mavericks content rather than Mountain Lion content. -
Changed hard drive: need to reinstall the recovery partition
Hi everyone. Some days ago I took my MBP to an Apple Authorized Reseller to update the hard drive to a new one and now I have a new 1TB/7200RPM hard drive.
Everything is perfect, but I think that the recovery partition is missing. If I look in the iCloud panel, the "Find my Mac" service is disabled because "recovery partition is needed".
But, if I run "diskutil list" in the Terminal, here's the result:

Is the disk0s3 the recovery partition? If it's the recovery partition, why "Find my Mac" can't see it? Do I need to update or reinstall the recovery partion?

Waiting your answer. Thank you very much.If you're referring to your disk0s3, I don't know. I don't know what that is or how it got there on your drive. I'm not sure if it should be deleted before you recreate your Recovery HD. Do a backup and then try the script and see what happens.
Not knowing what the technician did to put your system on the new hard drive, makes it difficult to tell you to delete disk0s3 before you put your Recovery HD on. I believe a normal install of ML onto a Mac OS X Extended-Journaled formatted hard drive with the GUID parition table has an EFI, Macintosh HD and Recovery partitions like below.

I had a few questions about the recovery CD:
1- What does the recovery CD contain? and the other CD which is called Media something?
2- Does it have Windows in it? So I can format my PC using it? And from where can i find the product key (windows key)
3- What if i wanted to use the CD without formatting? etc. installing the softwares?

1 Recovery media contains recovery image. Recovery image is a kind of package that contains operating system, all necessary drivers, Toshiba tools and utilities and some additional software like WinDVD or Norton antivir application. Media something is not known to me. Maybe exact description can help.
2 Yes it has Windows OS. Yes you can format your notebook using it. You do not need product key. Just install it.
3 I do not know what you mean. The fact is that HDD will be formatted before you start recovery installation. Be sure all your important data are saved on some external device.

To make a very tedious story short, My Mac decided that it would crash and not reboot the OS. I decided to bite the bullet and just reformat, sacrificing my very important data. I have tried just about every trick in the book. There is one one major problem I am facing. When I try to reformat the internal HDD using Disk Utility. It fails to unmount. "Make sure that all applications and files are closed on this disk.", Suggesting that the computer is ignoring my command at startup to boot from my external recovery drive, and using the Recovery partition on the problem drive, making it impossible to reformat the drive. When the internal drive is removed and connected by another method it is not recognized.
I failed to read the fine print on the box that suggested I purchase another Mac to fix problems with my primary Mac because any utility with the potential to fix the problem can only be run on a functioning Mac.Booting to any version of the Recovery system, the built in partition on the internal drive, a recovery partition on an external drive or from the Online internet system will not stop you from formatting the Macintosh HD partition on the internal drive. So your problem is not that you are booting from the internal Recovery HD partition. It is probably your internal hard drive has problems, failing.
You could try booting the system from the Online system. At startup hold down the Option/Alt + Command + r keys and keep them held down until you see a globe on the screen. That will boot the system from across the internet from the Apple servers completely removing the internal drive as a boot source. If you still can't erase and format or repartition and format the internal drive then your drive has problems and will need to be replaced. -

It stores some tools (Disk Utility) to repair your drive and lets you connect to the app store to re-download the OS or restore it from a Time Machine backup. That's it.
And it will re-install or restore your system (OS), it will not touch your files. However,

Background: My domain "default" exists in table but BEPL Manager could not connect hereWe currently have 3 domains for BPEL. We use them because they a) serve different purposes, b) we tweak the domain level threads.
I believe bpel manager will, by default, connect to the which ever domain starts with the letter closest to A.
I also think the user account is orabpel, which connects to the bpel schema.
