The Mac uses an "All devices active" philosophy with pointing devices and keyboards.
If you have additional pointing devices attached, especially a graphics tablet, it is still directing mouse operations at the same time as the mouse you have your hand on. The end result is the SUM of commands from all such devices.

Sound on my iPhone 4S is messed up, tips and suggestions left by others not working any more. At first turning it off for a while worked, when turned it back in the keyboard click would work for a few keystrokes but now not even that. Had the phone for a bit more than a year, so I know my sound is on and checked all my settings. Posted suggestions from support is not helpful. I guess next step is to take it in for repair? Or is this Apple's way of telling us to upgrade? :(
Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.
FYI, Apple does not repair iPhones. If basic troubleshooting does not resolve either purchase a new iPhone or take the device to Apple for an Out of Warranty replacement which is $199US for the 4S. -

Thank you for taking the time to submit this issue to Connect. This is a known issue with Windows 8.1 RTM and it will be addressed in a future update of Windows 8.1. In the meantime, you can typically rename the EXE to get it to work correctly. -
My Ipad 2 (after the latest update) is burning through battery...even when I am NOT on the Ipad2....I have turned it off and on again....no difference...what else can I try...seems like I live with it pluged into power.

recalibrate the battery, let the device run out of battery to where it shuts off and then fully charge it without using it. -

Sounds like your battery is failing. If you have AppleCare, make Genius reservation and take to Apple for resolution. If no coverage, you can still take to Apple Store for free quick battery diagnostic testing.

Report it to the police. If they are a shop in the mall they should be easier to track down (the trick is seeing if the police will take the case).
In the future I would not deal with unauthorized shops. Only deal with Apple or AASPs (Apple Authorized Service Providers). It may cost more but you don't run the risk of getting scammed or having faulty work done. -
Why did my screen turned white after i turn it off and it wont reset or turn off

Let the battery fullu drain. After charging for at least an hour try a reset and restore.

Do you have an active data connection (wifi or cellular)? Have you tried resetting the phone by pressing and holding the Home and power buttons until the apple appears (this is different than just turning it off and back on).

Iphone 5c turns itself off and won't turn on until plugged in
I just received my replacement iPhone 5c and it worked fine the first night, the next day, the phone turned itself off, and would not let me turn it back on. I tried the reset option by holding down the lock and the home buttons, but that did not work. my phone only turns on when it is plugged in. It then shows me that battery is lows, and then powers on ad says 100% charged.
My lower screen blinks while it is plugged in as well.....
Any help?You might have a bad battery. But first try recalibrating the battery gauge. Run the battery all the way down until the phone shuts off and doesn't restart. Then charge for 4 hours with the wall charger. Repeat the process. If the problem remains you need a new battery.

Ive tried to update all my applications from my computer to my iphone4 and while my phone was trying to sync them. I have now an apple icon displayed on my phone and it has 'frozen up'. tried turning on and off but apple icon still remains. tried shutting down computer aswell as removing the Micro-Sim on my phone and still no change.. what is going on?
Plug in with Wall Charger and Reset, hold both Home and Power buttons until the iPhone begins to restart. Usually up to 20 seconds of holding both buttons.
If still problems and you decide to Restore the iPhone Firware. Then open iTunes on computer, connect iPhone to computer. Then hold both Home and Power buttons until the iPhone is recognized in Recovery Mode. Restore the Firware. Usually takes about 20 seconds of holding both buttons. -
Does anyone know how to unfreeze a screen.
My mini Ipad is only 2 months old and it has frozen. The screen says that the ipad needs to be backed up on icloud but the touch screen has frozen and I can even shut it down. SuggestionsTry to reboot it. Hold down the sleep and home keys until you see the silver apple, about 20 seconds or so. It should reboot and work for you.

I was moving bookmarks in safari and 2 complete folders have emptied their contents. The folders are still there. I don't have a working time machine and icloud has caused the relevant folders to disappear from all my machines, iPhone, iPad and iMac as well as thge MacBook Air I was working on. HELP!!!

So, you moved some Bookmarks and now 2 folders are completely empty.
I think that they dropped in a other folder during dragging the Bookmarks.
Did you check ALL of you Bookmark folder if they are there?
If you didn't delete the they have to be still there.

Yes. You can use iTunes 11.
As noted, you need 10.7.5 to use iCloud though.
