HT4859 hi I tried to back up my I phone but evrey time it said it is incomplete !!
every time i try to back up my I phone it stoped and said that the back up is incomplete what shoul I do??
Welcome to the Apple Community.
You might try a forced shutdown to begin with, hold down the top and home buttons together until the device shuts down, then restart it.
If your back up continually fails, you might try turning off back up on your mobile device (settings > iCloud > storage & backup) and then deleting the backup file from iCloud by swiping the backup file on the mobile device (settings > iCloud > storage & backup > manage…) and then turning back up on again.
If this doesn't help, try turning off some items for back up in a pattern to try to establish if your problem is being caused by specific data on your device.
Being able to back up to the cloud can be very useful, especially if you don't have access to a computer or have infrequent access to one, however unless you specifically need to use iCloud for back up, you will find backing up to iTunes significantly more convenient and possibly more reliable.

I am able to connect my iPhone via USB cable and access my photo storage on the phone. I am just not able to install iTunes anymore. I have attempted resolution to this issue for almost two months now. Until that time, I was content with what was installed. It was only when the proverbial update box appeared that I attempted to 'update' my iTunes. WHAT A MISTAKE putting blind faith into an Apple request to update. I SUGGEST NOT TO UPDATE YOUR ITUNES IF IT IS RUNNING PROPERLY!
I realize now, once again I might add, my reliance on software provided by others. It's like anything else, I shouldn't rely on just one method for anything. Time to search for a more pleasant alternative than Apple. Truly, when it worked, it was good at its job, but now that I am wasting time I am looking seriously at upgrading to another type of smartphone and media management software. Way too much trouble for anything as simple as this should be. I wonder, is this a result of another feud with Microsoft? -
My laptop has crashed and I can't sync my iPad air. I have tried to back up off I cloud but it hasn't transferred all of my photos or music. Is there anyway I can access my iTunes account any other way?
Your iTunes account won't include your non-iTunes purchased e.g. music copied from CDs etc, nor photos that were synced from a computer.
To get non-iTunes music you will have to go via a computer. If you don't have that music on, for example, an external drive, then there are some programs listed half-way down this page which should be able to copy them back from a device : https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3991
For photos that were originally synced from a computer then there are apps such as Simple Transfer which can copy them between devices and/or to a computer (though photos are 'optimised' as part of the syncing process, so if you do copy them back to a computer then they might not be the same as they were on your laptop).

Tried changing language and resetting my phone but failed. I am using Starhub in Singapore currently.
The reset link will show on your account if you have a rescue email address on it, if you only have alternate email addresses then it won't show.

you mean when it starts installing (not downloading), you see errors?

i am having a similar problem, one to two songs per purchased albums will not delete, they will not swipe like all other songs on each album they will not sync away when not checked they are still there after manually managing and choosing to not show purchased items, they refuse to be deleted, cant figure it out

My brand new back up drive is connected but now time machine has disappeared after working perfectly for a week. - no icon, not appearing as an option to save to - have rebooted everything a few times.
It's not clear whether you were able to do any backups to this drive at all. If not, it's probably not formatted properly. See #5 in Time Machine - Frequently Asked Questions for instructions.
If you did get any successful backups, there may be a problem with the drive, or the backups may be corrupted. Try to repair the backups, per #A5 in Time Machine - Troubleshooting. -

My i pod touch 4th gen. is in recovery mode. I am trying to back it up using i tunes but the option for backup is not highlighted. I am at a loss as to what I should do. I do not want to lose all of my pictures. I tried holding down the on/off button with the home button but that does not work. Keeps the touch in the same recovery mode. Suggestions??
No. If the photos are in a backup you made already then you can get them back by restoring from backup.
If they are in your PhotoStream you can get them from your stream. See that topic of:

When I take a video with my iPhone 5, it plays back great on my phone. However, when I upload to my computer it plays back extremely slow, or the image freezes while the audio keeps going. I've tried Windows Media Player, Quicktime, VLC media player, and they are all updated. So is my computer software. I never had this problem with my previous iPhone 3Gs. This is very annoying, help!!

I have just now tried the Reinstall via iTunes, about 20 into the download, the iTunes logo on the phone disappeared, and the Apple Logo appeared again,,, I waited until the iTunes stated that the download had finished, and the install was in progress,,,
Nothing happened, still the Apple Logo was visual on the screen, iTunes never recognised the phone which it was on my iTunes account previously,,,

Ok, thanks that helps. I don't have an external hard drive though. What about backing up through 'the cloud'? I'm just wondering since my husband syncs his iPod to the PC through iTunes and he's worried that he will lose all the songs on his iPod if the library is lost from iTunes and he tries to 'sync' it up again. I'm not exactly sure how to 'copy the entire iTunes folder' either. I kinda suck at this unless I have step by step instructions, which I haven't found yet on iTunes help or other sources.
The only way I know how to back anything up is by going back to a restore point, etc. (as stated before, we don't have an external hard drive.)
