HT4859 How do I restore pictures and music on icloud?
I urchased a new iPhone since my first iPhone was stolen, I have pictures and music that were stored there and I had them stored on iCloud as well. How can I restore those files? please help. Thanks
Welcome to the Apple community.
The only way to restore from an iCloud backup is to restore your device completely. Note, only the photos in your camera roll are backed up.

Restoring an iCloud backup requires you to first erase your iPad. If you have any newer data that you want to save you'll need to do that first. Then go to Settings>General>Reset, tap Erase All Content and Settings, go through the setup screens on the iPad and when given the option, choose Restore from iPad backup.

looking for idiot proof directions on how to restore my pictures and music to my iMAC. It was services and the hard drive cleared of my files. I've reinstalled office 2011 and am now trying to ficture out how to get the pictures and music back. I backed up the machine prior to the service call, but don't seem to know how to restore the pictures and music.
It all depends on how you made the backup and with what application. How was the backup created?

You can redownload music purchased from iTunes as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2519. Music from other sources can only be accessed from iCloud if you subscribe to iTunes Match.
Photos can be transferred by putting them in a folder, then selecting the folder on the Photos tab of your iTunes sync settings and syncing. Or, you can transfer them over wifi by using an app like PhotoSync. To stream them with iCloud, you have to set up iCloud on your computer as explained here: http://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/pc.html, enable photo stream, then add photos as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/PH2606. -
Hi! I just bought a new iPhone and I was wondering how i can make sure all my pictures and music will be transfered from my old iPhone to my new one?
Pictures are held in the iPhone backup. If you backup the old device just prior to the activation of the new one, then restore from that backup, the photos will be there. Music is in iTunes on the computer and when you do the restore, it will download the music from iTunes to the device during the restore. Make sure any music purchased on the iPhone that has not been transfered to iTunes on the computer is done before beginning the restore.

You can only recover files/data have not be overwritten. Normally you have to pay for a software such as Getdata or service to recover data/files but there are some free products:

I wirelessly migrated successfully my pictures and music via Wi-Fi from my PC laptop to my new Macbook Air but I don't now how to access that info. The space was used up on my Mac Air, but can't find music or pictures. Does it have something to do with changing user and if so what do I do when I change it. I think I got that far but got stuck.
