HT4859 how to see what is backed up in iclooud

Hi there,
I am quite new to this icloud lark and wondered if there is a way of seeing what is actually stored in icloud.  The last time I had to back up I lost all my photos as I didn't know about putting the photostream on.  I was having problems with my 3GS phone holding a charge - it had gone from 36 down to around 8 hours so about a month ago I went to the Apple store where they replaced it and the new phone was great :  back to 36 hours before recharge again.  This week I downloaded ios6 after a prompt which said it would be better for the phone,  and now this phone is only lasting about 8 hours which is why I'm going back to the Apple store yet again to see if they can sort it out.  Does anyone else have this problem after this download?  Apple won't even look at the phone if it hasn't been backed-up which brings me back to my original question of whether I can check that my photos have been backed up this time???

Tough call.  Only photos in the camera roll are backed up and only if camera roll is turned on...
Settings>icloud>Storage & Backups>Manage Storage,  tap the device's name and on the next screen, be sure Camera Roll is turned on.
IMPORTANT...
Photos should be regularly synced to a computer (like you store photos from a digital camera) using either USB via iTunes (on a mac use iPhoto or Aperture to move them to an album) or using photo stream.  If you have been doing that, then you can sync those photos back to your device.
If you haven't been saving photos except relying on iCloud to store them in a backup, then that is risky, as many users have discovered.

How can I see what is backed up to my iCloud?  Pictures are what I am trying ti find.

Your photo stream photos will appear on your iPad in the my photo stream album; photos from the last 30 days will still be in iCloud but cannot be seen on icloud.com.
Camera roll photos are only in iCloud as part of your iCloud backup.  However, you can't see them unless you restore the entire backup to your device.

iOS backups are not viewable, by design. If you backup using iTunes, to view the contents of your backup requires third-party software. iCloud backups are not viewable at all. This is what gets backed up:

  • TS4036 can I see what was backed up when I did my storage upgrade icloud?

I upgraded my icloud account, and my iphone backed up.  Now that I have lost my phone how do I see what was successfully backed up or not?

The only way to see what was backed up is by restoring form the backup. All of you purchased content, app data and camera roll photos should be in the iCloud backup, but you can't actually see what is in the backup anywhere.
    Take alook at this.

    Hello,
I would like to find out how to choose what is backed up in iCloud. Mine is full but i dont think everything on my phone needs to be in there. Can you please help me filter what should be backed up and what doesn't.
    Thanks,

You can change the settings as well as delete old backups in "Settings > icloud > Storage & Backup > Manage Storage". I hope this solves your issue.

How to see what I have bought in the past

You can check the purchase history on your account via the Store > View My Account (Store > View My Apple ID on iTunes 11) drop-down menu option on your computer's iTunes (though I'm not sure if that shows in-app purchases and/or auto-renewing subscriptions) - you should seea Purchase History section on that page, with a View All link to its right

  • I had a I phone 4S backed up everything to i cloud noe I have the 5 how do I see what I backed up?

How do I restore stuff backed up on i cloud

You restore an iCloud backup during the initial setup process for your new phone.  Go through the setup screens, and when given the option, choose Restore from iCloud Backup (see image below).  If your phone has already been set up, you'll have to erase it by going to Settings>General>Reset and tapping Erase All Content and Settings, then go back through the setup screens again.
Be sure you phone is connected to wifi and your charger as restoring from an iCloud backup can take some time to complete.

  • How to see what Tables are being used in all reports

    Post Author: tmashley
    CA Forum: Crystal Reports
    Hello,
How can I see what database tables are used in all my online reports? I have around 1000 reports posted to Enterprise over 6 different datasources. If possible I would like to see the fields within those tables that are being used to.
I am using Crystal Reports XI Release 2
    Any help is appreciated
    Thanks,
    Tom

I don't think you can see the databases of the reports unless you download the report onto your pc as a Crystal Report format and then open it under Crystal Reports.
This way it will open the report within Crystal Reports and will show you the datasource it is coming from.
I doubt if you can see them online.
    Kind Regards

    Hi all,
How to see the what are the privilages a USER has.
    and
In Oracle 10g, where the log files were created ?
    Thanks in advance,
    Pal

    Hi,
You can use the "DBA_SYS_PRIVS" data dictionary view to see a user's system privileges.
You can use the "DBA_ROLE_PRIVS" data dictionary view to see a user's roles by filtering on the "GRANTEE" column.
Finally, you can see what direct grants a user has on tables, views, packages, types, procedures, functions, etc. with "DBA_TAB_PRIVS"...
    Hope this helps...

Can you figure out with whom your MacBook is communicating? Try launching /Applications/Utilities/Terminal.app from an admin-privileged account and type
        tcpdump -i en1 host 192.168.1.101
where the gray entries are variable entries, "en1" is what I think is the interface address on MacBooks for Airport, which I assume you are using as your connection to the router, and the "192.168.1.101" should really be whatever is the 192.168.x.x address for your MacBook. (If you get a message that says "no IPv4 address assigned" then en1 is the incorrect interface; look at /Applications/Utilities/Network Utility.app's info panel to find your active internet interface).
tcpdump will display packets and the IP address with whom your MacBook is communicating. It will also show MacBook port and distant end port numbers, which may help you identify what application or service is communicating, and to what application and service at the distant end.
/Applications/Utilities/Network Utility.app's lookup and whois panels should help you figure out to whom that IP address belongs, which may shed some light on why this packet traffic is happening.
