HT4859 I HAVE AN INCOMPLETE BACK UP ON ICLOUD THAT I WOULD LIKE TO GET BACK AS IT IS
I WANT TO GET THAT INCOMPLETE BACK UP FROM ICLOUD BUT IS NOT SHWING WHEN I TRY TO RESTORE BUT IT SHOWS ON THE ICLOUD DATE USEGE
You have to do a full restore to your device to get things from iCloud. You can't pick and choose.
In addition, from what I've read, you can't get anything back to the camera roll, if that's where you stored some of your files. The camera roll is temporary storage untill you sync photos and videos to your computer. If you used Photo Stream, then iCloud syncs new pictures from your iPhone to all other devices that are set to sync Photo Stream. But there's a limit to how many pictures per month (I think 1000) and iCloud saves photos for 30 days, so the other devices have time to sync to get the photos. But there's no way to get them out of iCloud in Photo Stream in case you lost all the pictures on your devices. -

How come I can't put music on my ipod? I already have a fair amount of music on my ipod but I have enough space for more. I am using a new computer with itunes and it is telling me if I wasnt to put the new music on my ipd i need to erase my ipod HELP!
Because you can only synce with one iTunes library and you are switching libries by using the new computer. To nake this yyour syncing computer:
- Move all the media(apps, music, synced video and photos etc) to the new computer.
- Connect the iPofd yo the computer and bake a backup fo the iPod by right clicking on the iPod under Devices in iTunes and select Back Up
- Restore the iPod from that backup.
Note that the backup that iTunes makes doe not include media.
To move mdia to the new computer see:

I have given up on my dell and bought an iMac 27"... Now how do I transfer my dell iTunes playlists from my dell to my iMac, as they are showing on the iMac when I plug in my iPod but it's not allowing to me to play them as they are shaded? I have also separately transferred all my music via my external drive from my dell to my iMac which is showing in iTunes but won't upload to my iPod... Just to confuse you even more my AppleTV which is linked to my log in email address and home sharing is showing and playing all the playlists I want to see on my iMac... Phew that was exhausting hope you understand and can help me:-)
You may have transferred all your songs, but your iPad is seeing the library as a different entity.
The following article(s) may help you.
Moving your iTunes library to a new computer -
i recently bought a new computer and installed itunes and downloaded music already... I want to sync my new music into my ipod but it wont let me it says my ipod is linked to another itunes library, so If i want to go ahead with the process it says it will erase all my movies, photos, apps ect.. I press okay then it says about another itunes library If i want to sync my ipod i have to "erase and sync" if i go ahead with this will it erase all my photos?? All im worried about are my pictures.... if i do this will it erase my pictures... so far i havent been able to put the recently added music to my ipod... i tried it my husbands iphone and synced it since he has no music or videos... and it had the autofill option so i did this... and it worked.. why will it not work on my ipod..
You can only sync everything with your one syncing computer/iTunes library. Yu can:
- Make this your syncing computer by:
Syncing to a "New" Computer or replacing a "crashed" Hard Drive: Apple Support Communities
- Use the manual method to copy music and videos from any computer/iTunes library to the iPod. See the manual method included here:

How do I access content that has been backed up to iCloud? I no longer have an iphone, but I want to access the music/pictures I've stored to the cloud. When I logged in to iCloud, there was no tab or option to view content. Please help.
Without an iPhone or iPod Touch to restore the backup to, you cannot access the camera roll photos stored in the iCloud backup. Signing into the account on your computer and enabling photo stream will only allow you to access photo stream photos from the last 30 days, and any shared stream you were subscribed to.
You can redownload purchased music in iTunes on your computer as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2519. -
Just bought a new imac and tried to download all my music from my iPod but it only allow me to download purchased items and not the rest of stuff stored on a previous pc itunes folder. How do I get round this ?
The simplest way to transfer everything is to copy the entire /Music/iTunes/ folder from old computer to /Music/ on new computer.

HT201269 How do I sync music on my ipod so it's also on my iphone?
How do I sync music on my ipod so it's also on my iphone?
I'm only looking to accessmy personal music, ripped from my CDs, NOT music purchased through iTunes, etc. (heaven forbid! ;-)Music ripped from cds came from your computer in the first place, so it should still be on your computer and therefore should be backed up with your regular backup of your computer.
Just sync it to the iphone from your computer. -
I just recently had to restore my computer to factory settings and when I redownloaded iTunes and tried to transfer my music from my ipod but it said that I had to authorize it, I did then it sais that the computer is authorized but that it was unable to transfer the music. This happens every time except with my ipad where it tells me it can transfer over my apps. What should I do?
See TS1389 - iTunes repeatedly prompts to authorize computer to play iTunes Store purchases.
