HT4859 I used ICloud to get my OUTLOOK contacts in to our new IPad and now the Outlook calendar is fine on the PC BUT ALL MY CONTACTS (1200++) are gone from the PC but are in the Ipad. How do i get them back into my PC. Help.

All my contacts are now in my lovely new IPad but they have been whisked out of my PC and I need them back. Is this possible-hope so??

If you can see the iCloud contacts in Outlook, you can copy them back to your PC by selecting all the contacts (click one, then press Control-A), then drag and drop the selected contacts to Contacts under My Contacts on the left sidebar of Outlook.
If you want to copy your calendar back to Outlook, select your iCloud calendar on the left sidebar of Outlook, switch to the list view (select View from the ribbon, then click Change View>List), select your events (click on a single event, then press Control-A), then control drag and drop them to Calendar under My Calendars on the left sidebar.
Then you can sign out of iCloud on the iCloud control panel and your local copies will still be there. If you want to add your iCloud email account back to iCloud, you can do this with these settings: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4864.

Are you talking about icloud's emails or those from another service like google or yahoo?
If you log into icloud.com using a computer's browser and go to the email page, you will see what's currently stored in icloud. If they are gone, then it's probably "user error". If your computer has backups, then you should be able to restore the email files back to the computer.

Like I will be checking on an account { page is fine} go to a different screen then go back.... This is the fun part. The page starts off normal then all the sudden it shrinks and moves to the right side of the page with out me touching anything. My guess is that when you see the router on your phone, you press the blue arrow on the right - thats why you see all the IP stuff. Don't press the blue arrow. Press further to the left. You should be prompted for a password then.

Import broke down movie into equal clips of 0.01 duration. How can I join them back into the actual length recorded on the camera

My recent import from my camera into imove resulted in the entire video being seperated into many equal lengh mini clips with a duration of 0.01 seconds. When playining through these it is sped to quick to even see what is going on. What happened to cause this?

FPC has a feature called DV Start/Stop Detect. You can Cature Now an entire tape and run the Start/Stop detect and it will separate each of your clips based on the metedata. It will recognize each individual time you started then stopped recording by placing a marker at the beginning of each clip. Then you drop all the markered shots into a new bin and it makes subclips out of them. Easy. You can read more about it in the manual. It's a very helpful tool.

After upgrading to Mavericks, all my mail folders in Mail are gone. Does anyone else have this problem or know how to fix this. I only use the apple Mail, not anything else like gmail etc. Its very frustrating as I had importantant documents there.

Why do songs randomly separate from an album? How can I merge them back into the album?

When I upload songs into my library either by adding files from the music folder on my Windows 7 64bit pc OR by inserting an audio CD, I have found that songs from the album randomly separate in my music library. Not sure why since the artist and album title still match - but just want to be able to get them to merge back as part of the album. Other pain point is that when they separate , they don't show the artwork?

They got pushed to another page of the Home screen. Scroll from left to right to find them. You can then move them to where you want them.

If you copy files to/from your profile, Firefox must be down. You can copy .json files from bookmarkbackups files because they are not active.

HT203167 I found my media files. How do I get them back into my itunes library. I have tried :add to library" and copy & paste but that didn't work.

(I think the daughter got he better end of the deal!) I believe if you change the password and user id one of the devices it will stop that from occurring. But I'm not the one to tell you how to do it; someone like "Illaass" (Illaass seems to know how to correct / fix almost anything!) will know how if you don't. Just look for the "cat" icon.

You can connect the iPad to your Mac's iTunes and do File > Devices > Transfer Purchases, that should copy it over to the Movies part of your library.
Depending upon what country that you are in, and whether the film studio allows it, you might also be able to re-download it on your Mac via the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page.

My original I Phone 5 was running IOS 6.12
My I phone 5S currently runs IOS 8..When I upgraded it, it had IOS 7 on it which made the I Photo app compatible with everything below IOS 8...( which the photo app is not compatible with ) so I just connected the I Phone 5S to my computer and thinking the new phone had IOS 7 on it that these was nothing to worry about..I thought all 900 + pictures in the photo stream would transfer but somewhere in the process, I Tunes decides to just go and install IOS 8 which requires that you run a " Photo Migration App" to transfer photos from IOS 7 & below. The problem was is that I didn't want IOS 8 on my new 5S so I thought I wouldn't have to do that part..
Anyway the phone emerged with IOS 8 on it and the only photos that remained were the ones that were actually on the phone..The 900 + I had in the stream didn't transfer because the Photos that works on IOS 7 and below isn't compatible with IOS 8..I guess you have to use the photo migration app that comes with IOS 8 & I phone 6..But I didn't ask to upgrade to IOS 8...It just did it on it's own!
I still have the I Phone 5 Back up that I did just before giving it back to Verizon but if I try to restore the I Phone 5S running IOS 8 those photos in the stream will not go back on the phone because IOS 8 isn't compatible with the I Photos" that ran on IOS 7 and below..
So I have an I Pad mini that runs IOS 7..should I try and erase it...and put that I Phone 5 backup on it and pray the photos that were in the stream come back on it so I can transfer them back to my computer...then erase the I pad mini again and restore it using it's original backup that I have on the computer and the in the cloud?
