HT4859 restoring backed up data - after set up assistant

What if i have skipped the "restore from icloud backup" during the set up assistant - is there any way to get it once the ipad is up and running?

Thank you randers4 and Eric Ross. The only problem is that i did this because of the following error:
"To: Clash of Clans. "When I first started on my iPad I didn't log in to game centre (but I thought I had). Then I downloaded it on my iPhone and followed the steps to register, and thus created two games...the one on my iPad which was far advanced and the one on my phone which I had played once but was registered. Now, whenever I play on my iPad it asks to sync with game centre (which I want to do so I don't lose my game but it will be overwritten with the phone game, which I dont want."
And i followed their advice which was:
"If you wish to start another game, you need to reset your device - please use this with caution as you will lose all data from the device.
In order to reset your device safely, please follow the steps below:
1) Go to settings
2) Go to iCloud
3) Go to Storage & BackUp
4) Go to "BackUp now"
5) Go back to settings and go to "general"
6) Go to "reset"
7) Go to "erase all content & settings"
After the reset is done and your device starts up again, it is very important that you do not load your back-up immediately.
8) Skip the Backup (click on "later")
9) Go to the App Store
10) Download Clash of Clans
11) Log in through Game Center and start a new game
12) Go back to settings / iCloud and load the back-up to get all your files back"
As you can see, i was not supposed to restore back up during the set up process. i just hoped there was another way - or maybe i'm misreading the instructions.

    I don't know if this is a similar problem but I wrote 2 notes yesterday on my iphone. I opened my mail to print them and they appeared as notes but wouldn't load. Then I looked at them on my iphone and I could see the notes but they quickly updated to blank with a time of the last edit the same time I tried opening them on my computer.
    Yesterday I updated to 4.3.4  I don't know if somehow that affected them. Are they stored somewhere else. Can I get them back?

  • Restore Safari Keychain data after Remove All

    Restore Safari Keychain data after Remove All
    I mistakenly removed all Safari Keychain data, which, of course, also removed the data from my iOS devices.  I attempted a restore with a "Keychain" folder.  It's on my desktop, but I'm not sure what to do with it or if it's even the right data.  Can anyone help with how to restore keychain with Mozy?  Thanks!!

    From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the AutoFill tab.
    Select:  User names and passwords
    Visit a website. Enter the login data. You will be prompted tos save that data to a new keychain.
    Restore...  as I mentioned previously, Mozy is not compatible with Keychain Access. There is no way to restore with Mozy.
    In the future, you may want to use iCloud  Keycahin to store login data.

    Favor the route via iTunes and local storage on the computer. MUCH faster than any cloudy backup, no matter the speed of your Internet connection. No network beats the speed of a hard drive. Just make sure there's enough room on the computer before you start, must contain all that's on the iGadget.

Even I tried restoring iphone to factory setting then restoring backup from iTunes but no luck.
    Can anyone guide me on how to resolve this issue. Appreciate immediate help on this.

  • Help, how to restore backed-up data from old 3GS to my new 3GS?

    Hi I recently got a replacement phone, and when i synced it to iTunes, the prompt to restore my backed-up data came up. However when I tried to restore, it prompted me to update my new phone's software to 3.1 first.
    So now, after updating my software, how do I restore the data from my old phone?
    Coz the first prompt does not appear anymore.
    Would appreciate your feedback, thanks!

    Upgrade to 3.1 first, do not sync or backup. After you upgrade, reconnect & select restore from previous backup & all your data will be put back on the new phone.
    When you right click on your phone under devices in the right column, one of your choices will be restore from backup.

  • Restoring Back To 10g After A Failed 11g Upgrade Of a RAC Database

    I'm testing this out on a small test RAC database. I successfully upgraded it from 10.2.0.4 to 11.2.0.2 but wanted to test the scenario of having to go back to 10g if the upgrade really hosed up. The first recovery attempt seemed to be successful but after bringing the DB down with srvctl, it failed on the next startup saying it needed to be started in upgrade mode. Something from 11g was still in place or the fact that I was trying to restart a 10g database managed by 11g clusterware was the issue. I tried starting the DB from both 10g and 11g environments and got the same result. Even starting each instance individually got the same result.
    In all that I tried, I got the usual incarnation and "until time before reset time" messages. I've been doing this all through RMAN without EM or Grid Ctl. As usual, any docs I found have had just a little information and I have to piece my own instructions together from all of them, not knowing for sure it all steps would apply in my situation.
    Can anybody point me to a good doc or other resource that might help me out? Many thanks!

    Now I have a different issue with apparently the same problem. I successfully did the restore/recover as before but the thing pukes when I open resetlogs at the end. Something, somewhere is still pointing to 11g but I have no idea where or what has changed since the last time I did this. Maybe I've messed things up by doing this multiple times. Here are my RMAN commands:
    RMAN> connect target
    RMAN> startup force nomount;
    RMAN> RESTORE SPFILE TO '+DATA/jimg/spfilejimg.ora' from '/local/oracle/10.2.0/db_1/dbs/c-2526333028-20110915-01';
    RMAN> shutdown immediate;
    (in a different session, from command line)
    % mv /local/oracle/10.2.0/db_1/dbs/initJIMG1.ora.bak /local/oracle/10.2.0/db_1/dbs/initJIMG1.ora
    RMAN> startup force nomount pfile='/local/oracle/10.2.0/db_1/dbs/initJIMG1.ora';
    RMAN> restore controlfile from '/local/oracle/10.2.0/db_1/dbs/c-2526333028-20110915-01';
    RMAN> alter database mount;
    RMAN>
    run {
    restore database;
    recover database;
    RMAN> alter database open resetlogs;
    The errors I get after resetlogs are:

    This is being done on a small, expendable database for practice. I think I've learned enough about what NOT to do to keep me from getting in this jam to begin with. Any thoughts?

  • How to restore backed up data of another iPhone?

    Please help me out. I connected my friend's iPhone to my iTunes and it offered to update the software on it. I decided to update as my friend had never than that before. And, now I am in trouble, cause all his data is gone. I mean all... before it was synchronizing it said that it was backing up the data ... does anyone know how to find this data? Because my iTunes has only the data for my iPhone ...
    Thank you

    Go to iTunes preferences. Is there a backup listed under the Devices tab for your friend's iPhone?
    If so, your friend needs to restore his iPhone with iTunes from the backup for his iPhone.
    When restoring, his iPhone will be erased and the firmware will be re-installed. After the firmware is re-installed, you will be prompted to restore the iPhone from an available backup - which is the default selection. If the backup for his iPhone is not selected, you can select it from the pop-up.
    The backup includes data such as most iPhone settings, email account settings, contact info, SMS messages, notes, recent calls, call favorites, photos that were in the iPhone's camera roll, and 3rd party app settings and data created and stored by a 3rd party app.
    In regards to iTunes content, an iPhone can be synced with an iTunes library on a single computer only, and photos can be transferred to an iPhone from a single computer only.
    If the backup for his iPhone is available and restored, do not sync his iPhone. He will need to sync his iPhone with the iTunes library on his computer to re-transfer his selected iTunes content including 3rd party apps.

    you have two options.
    1. run Migration assistant on the new computer. It's in /Applications/Utilities. It lets you migrate your user data and applications from a TM backup. this is the best and the easiest option.
    2. use TM in a browse mode to selectively restore what you want by hand. to do that control-click on TM in the dock and select 'browse other TM backups". it will let you browse your old TM backups and restore what you want where you want to.
    Either way when you are done you should set up TM on the new computer again in TM system preferences. it will start a new backup sequence and you'll be able to access it normally.
