I had photos from a trade show that were erased when I did an upgrade before I had snyced them with itunes. I wondered if the backup somehow has them.

Lojack for laptops - if that is the product you purchased and installed, you will need to read the user manual or contact the manufacturer as it is 3rd party. You did file a police report right?

The only way to locate/disable/erase any lost/stolen iPhone/iPod Touch is through Find My Phone or a similar app. However, this requires that Find My Phone be setup/activated, on your phone, before it was lost/stolen. You would then login at iCloud.com & try to locate it. This requires the phone be turned on & have an Internet connection. There is no other way to locate a lost/stolen iPhone. Apple can't/won't help you, nor will your carrier. Report the loss to the Police, your carrier & Insurance company. Change all of your passwords, especially your Apple ID/iCloud password NOW!
If your carrier offers Blacklisting & they Blacklist the phone, it will be unusable as a phone.
If locked with a passcode, and running iOS 7.0, then phone cannot be activated or the passcode removed without knowing your Apple iD/Password. It will be nothing but a useless paperweight.
If not running iOS 7.0, the phone can be forced into recovery mode & restored.

There is no way to remotely enable that feature. It has to already be turne don in Settings > iCloud > Find My iPhone in order for you to locate it.

My ipod touch was stolen on the a public bus on tuseday !! there was 3 people across from me and were looking at me while i had it i have them as name of suspects and on the bus there was cctv footage so i went to the police to look at it and they yet havent got back yet and so i went on to find my iphone and i used this before and it found my ipod when i last used it in december or early jan but when i tryed to use it this time it said offline .. so i contacted apple they said keep trying it soo i have but nothing changing and im getting more upset with out it everyday and i just got it x mas time.. if there is anyway else you can track it please please tell me !!!! i would much appriciate it xx

I have lost my Iphone last week. I know this has been a while, but I am desperate. I have talked to At&t and there is no way they could track my phone with it turned off. If you did not setup Find My Phone, I'm afraid yo're out of luck. There is no practical way to track your phone.

As long as the book is still in the store, and you haven't changed countries since buying it, then it should show in the Purchased tab in the iBooks app on your iPad for redownloading. If it's still in the store but doesn't show in Purchased then check to see if it's hidden : iTunes Store: Hiding and unhiding purchases.

Unless you get the seller to unlock it for you then you're out of luck. The phone is a brick and useless.

If MobileMe / Find My iPad wasn't set up on it before it was lost, then no, unfortunately there is no way to locate it.
If it was stolen then it should be reported to the police. He should contact his carrier so as to cancel the sim. Also as a precaution he should change his iTunes password, his email account passwords, and any passwords saved on websites and in emails/notes etc

If you had iCloud enabled...
Go to www.icloud.com > iCloud
then login then click Find My iPhone (works for finding your Mac also)
This will only work if the Mac is turned on and Find My Mac was enabled in System Preferences > iCloud
If you did not sign up for iCloud before the Mac was stolen > Reporting a lost or stolen Apple product
A stolen or lost device cannot be located from the serial number.

On a computer, go to http://www.icloud.com and log in with your Apple ID. If it lets you log in, you enabled iCloud. Then, choose Find my iPhone and check that your computer shows up. If so, Find my Mac is enabled and you can track the Mac if it's connected by Wi-Fi
