HT4863 email sending limit exceeded on iPhone

I suddenly started getting this message. "A copy has been placed in your outbox. Send the message filaed because dyou exceeeded you sending limit."
background:
I use two servers 1. yahoo and 2. .me.com
My yahoo emails work fine.
i use .me on occasion only.
Today i used .me for the first time and i get this message.
I sent a test message containing the subjevct and the body text work "Test" to a fiend. It fails and i get this above message.
So it is not related to a real limit.
My icloud account is paid up. I just added another $20 the other day.
My .me.com emailing is very low level.
I rebooted my iphone - no improvement.
I removed the icloud server and replaced it - no improvement.
I deleted all my 'sent email' - no improvement.
What next? Help?

I have seen few questions here, just like yours. All of them were solved by reentering password in me.com mail settings and verifying other information. I was trying to locate one of those for you with precise instructions, but seem to be unable. See if reentering just password will help and if not come back here and look for similar discussions.

Hi,
Every couple of days I seem to be getting the "daily sending limit exceeded" message when I try to send mail. I'm aware that the limit is 200 messages per day, but I haven't send even close to that. In fact, I've probably sent about 200 messages this month!
Really can't understand why, but it's pretty frustrating.
Edit - should note that it's my iCloud email that's giving me this error. *@me.com account.

The send button won't be active until you address it and type something in the body of the email. Assuming you did that and it still isn't working, try resetting the phone as Ocean20 suggested: hold the on/off and home buttons until you see the Apple logo, release and wait for it to restart. As a precaution before restoring, import your photos to your computer and back up your contacts (such as by syncing them with iCloud). Hello, I've been trying to download some films to my iPhone to entertain my daughter on a long journey tomorrow. All attempts have failed. The first time I was told I didn't have enough usage; this i resolved but since then every download has failed and when I retry, I'm told the film cannot be downloaded as limit for the film has been exceeded. So no films fog the journey & unable to download them anymore anyway even if the app worked.

AOL email sending issue, after latest iphone update

I have updated to the latest os. Now suddenly my AOL emai laddress has stopped sending, recieving is fine. I am alos using the company wifi, which is bt. I have also changed the outgoing mail server settings to smtp.btinternet.com, but still cant send.
Does anyone have any idea that might fix this.

no, you need to actually go to your settings and change it to push data rather then fetch it manually.
Settings>mail contacts and calendars>fetch new data>Push should say on.
and if it says its already on, tap it to turn it off, then tap again to turn it back on.
also, www.downrightnow.com you can see how extremely often throughout the day yahoo mail servers are down.

Spoofed or hacked? It's easy for someone to forge your address as the 'From' address, but that wouldn't involve using the iCloud server and your account and would have no effect on your limit.
If you have actually been hacked, so that someone has been sending using your account, then you need to change your password immediately to something really strong and unguessable. If they have taken you over your limit you will have to wait 24 hours after which you should be able to send again.

This happened today out of the blue. I was having problems with my Yahoo account stalling on my iMac so decided to change over to iCloud...
After sending the first email sucessfuly telling everyone of the change I got "The sender address [email protected] was rejected by the server p05-smtp.mail.me.com"
After much frustration and time I eventually set up a new outgoing server...
Mail/Preferences/Accounts/Outgoing Mail Server SMTP / (drop down select) Edit SMTP server list/ +new and double click and enter 'smtp.mail.me.com'/ then select Advanced tab/ check, use default ports/ check use SSL/Authentication - Password/ enter username and password/click okay to retuen to Preferences/Select 'smtp.mail.me.com...etc' as outgoing mail server and select TLS com.apple...etc certificate /Save
This has cured the problem for me, but seems like a bit of a farce really.
On iPad and iPhone it's pretty much the same deal but it's slightly different.
Settings/iCloud/Account/Advanced/Mail (allow sending from [email protected]) / Outgoing Mail Server/Primary Server (set to off)/Add server/Host Name - enter 'smtp.mail.me.com' /username & Password/SSL set to On/Authentication - set to Password/Server port 587
All of this worked for me so I hope I save someone the same headache I had ALL DAY! So freakish that this ahppened to a all deivces in one day unless there is a coms problem with Icloud here, but everything else works...I hope...
