HT4863 How long does a block on sending messages last after exceeding the daily limit ?

I exceeded the limit while restoring my Mac and re-instantiating all my email Filters.
This is a bit of a surprise but, hey, lesson learned.
My question is, how long does this block last for ?  Is it lifted automatically after
24 hours or do I need to contact someone at Apple ?
Thanks !

iCloud Camera Roll Backup Size:
Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup > Manage Storage > (name) iPhone 5S > under Backup Options Camera Roll is 1.7gb
(sorry, I rounded to 2gb for simplicity earlier)
iPhone Camera Roll Backup Size:
Settings > General > Usage > under Storage > Photos & Camera > under Photos & Camera the Camera Roll is 835 kb
(essentially 0 kb, and there are 0 photo/vid under Camera Roll in Photos app)

  • How long does apple take to send a motherboard? (From the Us to Europe)

My new 17'' macbook pro had a problem with its motherboard so apple will send me a new one. Does anyone know how long it will take to arrive at my house?
    Cheers,

In fact, Apple doesn't sell parts directly to end users at all. New Apple parts can only be bought by Apple authorized service providers and Apple's own service technicians. From whom did you order this board?

  • How long does it take photos to re-download after resetting the phone?

    Please help what?
    What is your issue?
The number of pics would determine the time.  Also, re-download from where? To where?

  • So how long does it take to load a 160GB iPod using the Convert Higher ...

I have a 160GB Gen 5 that I bought when first released back in the day when they were $400. Through a number of changes, the most recent being the advent of the Convert Higher Bitrate Songs to 128bit AAC feature, I decided to look at what more music I could store. After all was said and done, I ended up with a bit of a disaster with cover art not being properly applied to the music being played. I decided to *restore the ipod* based on suggestions in the discussion boards, and equally important was following the hints and tips here.
    http://www.samsoft.org.uk/iTunes/grouping.asp
The advice is especially important in very large library situations to ensure you have uniqueness in the albums you want to display. Hadn't really given it much thought until I had the ability to see the individual albums for the 40K songs on the iPod via the cover art view.
Finally the point of the post...
*So how long does it take to load a 160GB iPod using the Convert Higher Bitrate option now available in iTunes 9.1?* The specs on my computer are not highend by any stretch, but it's no slouch, and neither of the CPUs are ever pegged. At this point I've lost count of how much time it's taken, but the load is going on 3-4 days. With some breaks in between because I need to check each incremental load to verify there is no cover art corruption, correct bad tags and such, but for the most part the loading is visibly slow, and I'm sure the conversion is the cause. I'm not really complaining at this point, but there is clearly room for improvement. And of course unless there is a redo involved in which case I will get quite cranky.
*I would like to hear the experiences of others.*
Finally to lend a bit more credence to the performance concern, my 32GB iPhone 3GS for only about say 28GB of music takes about 24 hrs to load from a 2.2GHz dual core intel laptop, again using the convert higher bitrate option.

With AC power adapter it takes 3-4 hours for a full charge. With the USB charger it takes 9-0 hours for a full charge. I am not happy with them removing the AC charger and other accessoreis at all. It's business but it still stinks.
I know I would rethink my purchase but would most likely end up buying the Micro anyway

  • How long does verifying iPad restore with Apple take after upgrading?

How long does verifying iPad restore with Apple take after upgrading iTunes?  It's been hours & my pc won't let me close because of it.

Should happen immediately...are your firewalls & anti-virus software turned off? If not, turn all of that stuff of & try again.

  • How Long does Apple need to send me my bill via email?

I bought my iPad 4 days ago(Saturday) and still didn't receive the bill via email yet neither does it appear on my bank account.
How long does apple need? Is this normal?

It can take a while for you to get your iTunes receipt, depending on business hours. You can see your orders by signing in to iTunes. Details are here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2727

  • How long does a mac book pro battery last?

Just want to know how long a MacBook Pro battery is supposed to last as in, what is the useful life expectancy?

MacBook Pros have used different battery technology since their introduction 5 years ago. Even screen size can affect battery life. Of course the big hitter is usage patterns, so what I get may be completely different from what you see.
The main factor is battery life is cycles count. YOU must be using the MBP on battery power a little every day even if you use it as a desktop machine. The battery must be used regularly of it will die an early death.
You should be doing 1-2 cycles a week. The concept of cycles is explained here:
    http://www.apple.com/batteries/
Apple says a battery should retain 80 percent of it health (not charge) after 300 cycles. The batteries in my Late 2007 MBP have not been so gracious. The first one lasted 11 moths before leaking out at about 45 cycles; the second plummeted to only 50 percent health at 15 months and 60 cycles. Hopefully the newer models do better.
Probably the best explanation for battery life and health is this User-contributed tip:

    Well worth the read.

  • How long does Apple build their computers to last?

I do not think you will get an aswer to that question, as I do not believe there is one.  No electronics manufacturer builds a system with a specific lifespan.  You may be able to compute one, based on the minimum MTBF of the components, but not all components have such data available, and even then MTBF is often a very poor measure of effective lifespan  Also, things like MTBF are highly dependent on the specifics of use and environment of operation, so vary tremendously in the real world.
Its a bit like asking how long anything is designed to last - until a critical operational part fails but that will vary widely, especially for products produced and sold in the tens or hundreds of millions of units all over the globe.
I've had hard drives that have failed within days or weeks of being new out of the box, and others that have lasted for literally decades.  My old powerbook G4 is now 7 years old and still runs (one RAM slot is non-functional), the Acer Windows box beside it is the same age, and has been turned off for maybe all of a month or two in the past 7 years.  My main MBP is 4 years old this year and still works perfectly, although it got a new battery recently.
Even if manufacturers do have some form of estimating aggregate expected operational life of their assembled machines, I doubt they will ever talk about them to the public - there is just no way to come up with a single meaningful estimate that anyone but a statistician or an engineer would truly understand and appreciate.
You will note that car manufacturers also never mentioned anything like a "design" life span - same issue - just way too many variables to consider to reduce things to a single estimated value.
I'd bet Apple, like any other company, "intends" them to last, as long as they last, whatever that may be for any particular unit and particular owner.

  • How long does it really take to get a book into the ibookstore?

    Hello All,
I delivered my epub to Apple on March 26th and for the first 34 days my books status had a single red icon, book in review for quality assurance. I continued to wait and last week to my horror, I had two red icons, with a new message of Unknown Issue. It has now been 43 days since I delivered my Ebup which had no problems or errors noted when it uploaded. Ironically, the book is on Amazon and Barnes and Noble which both took less than 48 hours from delivery to being available for sale (and it is selling).
Lastly, (can you sense my frustrated ?) my book is a positive story about my 26 year friendship with Steve Jobs who in 1984 sent me the first Imac 128K with a note to "Be part of the future". The book can be found here -> http://www.amazon.com/Steve-Photographers-Improbable-Journey-ebook/dp/B007G1B3TS /ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1336410606&sr=8-1

  • HT204380 How much does it cost to send messages?

I am new to iPad and apple products and I was wondering how much it cost to send messages to others? I heard and was told that if they have an iPod/ iPad it didn't cost anything....just want to check it out before I start using it if I have to find a cell provider? Thanks

First of all, on an iPad using the messages app, you can ONLY send messages to other iOS (iPad, iPod, iPhone) users whare are also regisered to use it. Finding a cellular provider isn't an option. iPads cannot do SMS messaging (although there are some third Party apps that facilitate this in the app store, if you really need it).
Using Messages doesn't cost anything, but you could incur data charges based on how your internet access is set up.

  • Re: How long does it take for vdbench to stop after data validation error?

    Hi,
I'm a newbe to this community - so please excuse me if I've made some mistake during this request.
I'm replying here as opening a new thread was not possible for me.
This is  DI related issue also (If you can separate it later - that is preferred).
I'm setting data_error=1000000 or any other very large number to have a continues testing for long time.
The scenario I'm experiencing is the following:
    - Initially I get an I/O error from the storage device
    - After a few more io's I'm getting DI errors.
The DI errors were checked by R&D and the reply and explanation were the following:
The guy showed an I/O going into the disk and receiving an IO error.
Later on the vdbench is trying to READ the same i/o that got the IO error as if it was actually written to the disk (which did not happen), thus receiving DI error.
Is this a bug in vdbench or expected behavior? and how can I avoid this scenario / running long test that do not stop upon single DI failure or ignore IO error?
    Hi,
    Thanks,
    Lior./

Vdbench50401. I won't have system access for the next week so I am only 99% sure, but one of the later versions before 50402 indeed had a case where a failed write was later on re-read and an invalid corruption therefore was reported. 50402 definitely fixes that.
Note though, that the write error never should have happened in the first place so that in itself to me already is a data corruption.
    Henk.

  • How long does it take to update icloud settings after upgrading to iOS7?

Since I have updated my ipad2 to iOS7 it has been at the "Updating iCloud settings". 3 hours have elapsed now without any indication on progress being made. Also if I do not touch my ipad every 15 minutes it will turn off. By the looks of it turning off undoes all progress being made.
How can I use my ipad again?
How can I have my ipad finish "Updating to iCloud settings".

    Try a reset ...
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

  • How Long Does it Normally Take to Update Album Artwork in the iTunes Store?

My apologies in advance, I know this has probably been asked before, but I'm having trouble finding it.
This is my first attempt at setting up a podcast in the iTunes Store. I think I have everything set up correctly, but I made a mistake on the album artwork - I created a PNG file with transparency, which appears as black. I have replaced the PNG file with a JPEG file with a different name (as suggested by the Apple instructions), and updated the RSS XML file to reflect that new file name. I also had a typo in the description, which I was using the <description> tag for. I corrected the typo in the <description> tag, and also added an <itunes:summary> tag with the same info.
I've waited for a few hours with no updates appearing. Is there a way to force the update, or do I just need to wait? I've verified that the raw RSS feed is updated correctly from the site.

Thanks for the quick reply, Roger!
I can wait. Managing expectations is the main thing. And learning not to make the same mistake again!
Hope you have a happy holiday season.

  • How long does it take for an iPad to arrive in the Chicago area?

My sister ordered the iPad around May 31 I wanted to know around what time should the iPad arrive.. thanks!

For accurate information, she should call whatever seller she ordered it from. Anything anyone here could post would just a guess which may be far off of reality.

  • Qosmio F30-117: How long does the repair take?

can any body tell me how long does it take for toshiba repair center to repair the laptop and send it back. I bought this new laptop but there was harddisk fault, then i sent it for repair but not yet received. Its two weeks now.

Mine went for repair twice - I think the fault was quite straightforward so was just a screen swap. This may explain the speed of turnaround. The first time it was picked up on a Wednesday - arrived Thursday and was repaired. It was then sent back and I got it on Monday (4 working days). The second time it took longer and was around 7-8 working days.
I found it useful to call the repair centre. They have some notes on machines there but if they can't give you specifics they should be able to give you the number for the 3rd party people that fix them and they'll give you a full update. Usually the third party places only work standard office days and hours.
    hope this helps.
