Which email account? Your iCloud email account or is this an account from another provider?

My battery life on my iphone 4 has been TERRIBLE since the most recent iOS update. Is anyone else experiencing this? At night I use a white noise app, and up to the most recent update, I never was below half battery in the morning. Now my phone is completely dead in the morning. I've noticed it draining faster in general since the update as well, but that particular app was just the best example.
One of the new features on the iPhone 4 is Multitasking ; it lets you do multiple things at once. For example, while iPhone is busy downloading a movie from iTunes, you can switch to the Safari app and browse IMDb in the meantime. So there's no more waiting around.
Each time you open an app and then press the home button, the app is still open. At the end, you may have too many apps opened at the same time.
To close apps, double click on the home button. Your opened apps will appear; hold one of them, then click on the red close to close an app.
Close as many as possible if you don't need them. -
My iPad purchased in 11/2012 won't start since updating to the most recent IOS version in 3/2015.
It's fully charged but pressing the HOME button or SLEEP/WAKE button, individually or together doesn't have any effect.
Suggestions?If it has NEVER been jailbroke, here are some standard repair procedures:
First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. It could take well over an hour! Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow the on-screen directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod. As before, say "yes." Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time. If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device. Corrective action is simple - choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore (or it doesn't help), go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here. You WILL lose all of your data (game scores, etc,) but, for the most part, you can redownload apps and music without being charged again. Also, read this. -
Why can't ipod touch 1st gen get the most recent ios update?
i have tried to update my ipod touch but it doesnt work. i dont understand why the 1st generation cannot get the most recent update.
Because the 1G iPod does not have the hardware necessary to support higher than iOS 3.1.3

Sometimes when an iOS update is released there is a compatibility lag with certain features that requires an update to the vehicle. Your MacBook shoul NOT be too old to run Leopard. (10.5) Snow Leopard, maybe, but not Leopard.
When you go to the Genius Bar, MAKE SURE the genius knows you are NOT up to date with your OS. If they try to update your phone, you could find yourself unable to sync at all...
That said, if you're nice to them, they might just give you a copy of Leopard so you can get current with iTunes and iOS. It's been known to happen. -
The phone is stuck on that screen once it is turned on and then turns itself right back off. Unfortunately it doesn't appear the phone was backed up on Icloud. The software update came through on my settings and I performed the update, ever since I have lost over a year and a half of information, pictures etc. Any ideas at all would be appreciated.
If you have not set up iCloud backup or backed up using iTunes, all data on the phone was lost once it entered recovery mode.
Your only option is to restore it and start new.

Ipod touch 4th gen..updated to the most recent iOS and can not synch to get my apps and music back
... my ipod locked up. I found the instructions to reboot. I then had to reset it to factory settings. Now the ipod will not synch to bring back all my apps and music (which I can see on my itunes account). When I connect to the computer with the USB cable, it opens up itunes and goes right to the 'set up your ipod' screen and asks me to restore from a backup. I have done this at least three times. I even dissabled my security / antivirus software and still no success. What steps am I missing?
Downgrading is not supported by Apple.
Apps can be downloaded again for free: Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
If he still has any backup, for example as part of the computer backup routine, he could restore the settings and data again by replacing the iTunes backup folder. The folder is located here:
Windows XP:\Documents and Settings\(username)\Application Data\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\
Windows Vista and Windows 7:\Users\(username)\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\
Note: If you do not see the AppData or Application Data folders, you may need to show hidden files (Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7), or iTunes may not be installed in the default location. Show hidden files and then search the hard drive for the Backup directory.

Originally, even if I had some messages on the "do not disturb" mode, I would still be able to preview them in the notification center. After the latest update about a week or so ago, the only messages that appear are the ones that aren't on "do not disturb". Everything works except cannot answer or hang up calls pushing the buttons on the Bluetooth devices. The Bluetooth patio speakers in our courtyard also have the same issue. However, my colleagues using iPhone 5 and 5s who did not update to iOS8 are using all Bluetooth devices without any issues. Apple says it is a problem with my Bluetooth device. Come on Apple.... This makes 7 different Bluetooth devices with different manufacturers. You cannot possibly believe the problem is with the Bluetooth devices when iOS7 works perfectly fine...
On another issue, my iPhone 5s worked perfectly fine in my vehicle entertainment center connected via USB. The vehicle entertainment center had complete control of my iPhone and iTunes. However, now I plug in my new iPhone 6 and it no longer communicates with my vehicle entertainment center. Again when I called Apple, they said my vehicle entertainment center needed a firmware update. Are you kidding me... That is a bunch of BS...!!! -
Why won't safari update after recent iOS update?
I have done the most recent iOS update and my safari is still operating on the 5.1.10 version. Is this the most recent version? When I go to some websites it signals that it's outdated. Please help!
Or use Firefox. It is still being updated for Snow Leopard.

The message means what it says. Unfortunately something went wrong and you will have to restore your iPad now. If you have a backup, you can restore from the backup after you restore the iPad to factory settings. If you have no backup, you have to start all over again.
You can download much of your purchased content again in the purchased tabs of iTunes or the app stores or if you sync with iTunes ( if you sync with iTunes you should have some sort of backup) you can sync your content back to the iPad. -
So i have updated to the most recent ios and dont need icloud, when i go to the settings, i have the choices storage and backup or delete account. if i choose delete account will i delete the itunes account i use for music?
No, you will only delete the iCloud account from your phone, nothing else. If you are syncing any data with iCloud, be sure to choose Keep on My iPod when prompted. Otherwise, the data will be deleted from your iPod.

You delete the same way as IOS 5. I have no issue deleting music with IOS 6 by swiping left to right to delete.

After the most recent FF update, FF 3.6.6 will not load, citing the error message: "XULRunner / Error: Platform version '1.9.2.3' is not compatible with minVersion>=1.9.2.6 / maxVersion". Tried updating XULRunner with no luck. Downloaded fresh copy and installed. Still no luck.
