HT4864 Are my SMTP settings correct?

On Windows Live Mail, I have successfully sent messages using my MobileMe (*******@me.com) account before, but for some reason, it is not working now.  I can receive incoming messages, but not send a message.  I get server response 334.  The port is 587 for SMTP.
Here are my server settings:  (I have excluded my email address and password for security)
Here are my advanced settings:

you said your field dominance was already none. I said it shouldn't be. Just do an easy setup for 1080i50 and it will tell you the settings. There actually is no such thing as pal or ntsc in HD because the resolution is the same, the frame rate just changes. Your pixel aspect ratio should definitely be (HDV 1440x1080) for HDV. For field dominance it is Upper (odd) for 1080i60 but it might also be that for 50i. Like I said, since there is no PAL HD things are different, but your pixel aspect ratio could be severely screwing you up. Also, your compressor should be HDV1080i50 as a default.
Again, do an easy setup for HDV1080i50, create a new sequence and then check out the settings. You'll see what they should be and then you can either copy everything into that sequence and output or just change all of your current settings. I recommend the former just so you don't miss anything. Also next time you do this, start with an easy setup to make sure you get everything right.
Oh yeah I forgot your other question. CCIR is the standard for PAL and NTSC. It defines the pixel aspect ratio as 0.9 instead of square like HD is or 1.33 ike HDV is. This is very important that you have the correct pixel aspect ratio because without it, your video will be squished or stretched and might not fill the frame properly

  • Smtp settings correct; outgoing email still not working

Every time I change providers, I have problems with my SMTP settings. I moved, had to change to AT&T. I got the recommended settings from AT&T, entered them for both incoming (POP) and outgoing (smtp.att.yahoo.com); port for incoming: 955; port for outgoing: 465; Connection security: SSL/TLS; authentication: no authentication & password (neither work). I called AT&T and they said everything is set correctly. I can RECEIVE messages, but can't SEND them. If I use AT&T's e-mail to send messages, it works - but T-bird still doesn't work. What am I missing?

looking at at&t site I see inbound and outbound in addressing att.net
    '''att.net''' inbound.att.net / 995 outbound.att.net / 465 (POP3)

  • Mac Mail Outgoing SMTP Settings for Exchange account

I can't seem to get my Mac Mail client outgoing smtp settings correct. I am receiving fine but cannot send. My companies IT person does not have any Mac experience and has asked that I use webmail. Please help.

Thank you sooo much for getting back to me. I am back to trying to figure this out.
I have tried to set it up with the mentioned settings without success.
I think the problem is with the Outgoing Mail Server address that was given to me by the IT person - "webmail.outdoordimensions.com".
Typically, when setting accounts up, I have used an address respective to the web access provider - i.e. "smtp.att.yahoo.com". However, this "Exchange" account is something very new to me.
Thanks again for your help. Also what is "TLS-wrapped"? I didn't find a setting option for this.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts   Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

  • TS3899 View POP & SMTP settings in the iPhone 7.1 iOS?

View POP & SMTP settings in the iPhone 7.1 iOS?
After successfully configuring email, POP and SMTP server info becomes unavalible.
How can we setup the same email POP and SMTP on a new phone.
I'm trying to setup @LIVE.COM via yahoo. I was successful on a previous phone:
    pop.mail.yahoo.com
    smtp.mail.yahoo.com
    NO GO....................!
Sadly when I setup email via @LIVE.COM, MS did not provide POP nor SMTP and I was directed to use someone besides MS (Microsoft)

    Hey rommy88,
Thanks for the question. You are correct, the option to disable Voice Dial is located in Settings > Passcode (before iOS 7.1, it was located in Settings > General > Passcode). You can also choose to disable Siri access from the lock screen:
    Siri settings - iPhone
    http://help.apple.com/iphone/7/#/iph634dd0e14
Prevent access to Siri when iPhone is locked. Go to Settings > Touch ID & Passcode (iPhone 5s) or Settings > Passcode (other models). You can also disable Siri by turning on restrictions. See Restrictions.
    Thanks,
    Matt M.

  • SMTP settings - Mail Accounts

    Hi,
I'm re-installing Leopard on my MacBook Pro from zero.
Got a backup on an external HD.
    Need to know where the:
    - info regarding smtp servers is stored - had 22 different smtp settings for several locations (filename/extension)
    - info regarding Mail Accounts
    Thx,
    Cheers,
    Snake

    Hi,
I know that the SMTP server settings are correct as they work correctly for the work email account. The home account (that is not working) uses these same settings.
In the iPad OS when you go into the Mail settings and click through to the menus to get to the SMTP servers there is a primary smtp server specified this is globally used across all the mail accounts. As I say I know that my settings for this are correct as it works for the work account.
I have however taken your advice and confirmed with my service provider and re-entered all the smtp settings to this primary server and the iPad confirms that all the details are verified, however I still get the same problem with the work emails sending correctly and the home ones stuck in the outbox. To me it appears that the problem is not with logging onto the smtp server the problem is with the iPad actually sending the message to server.
    Any other suggestions?

Before, it was in Mail menu -> Accounts... -> <email account> -> Advanced. But no longer...

You are correct, the SMTP settings are available in Mail menu -> Preferences -> Accounts.
But if you go to Mail menu -> Accounts..., they are not.

  • I have just updated to ISO 8 and my app icons are not displaying the correct icon but just a generic icon. Anyone had a similar problem?

I have just updated to ISO 8 and my app icons are not displaying the correct icon but just a generic icon. Anyone had a similar problem?

That happened to me for a short period of time after I updated. It didn't do it with all apps, but it did it with a few here and there. Try a few basic standard troubleshooting steps. Close all apps and reset the iPad.
In order to close apps, you have to drag the app up from the multitasking display. Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to the app that you want to close and then swipe "up" on the app preview thumbnail to close it.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
You can also try resetting all settings. You will not lose any data, but most of the device settings will have to be entered in the settings app again. Settings>General>Reset>Reset all Settings.
Hopefully it will be something simple, but don't rule out restoring the iOS software, if nothing else works, but start with this easy stuff first.

  • What are the best settings for ripping cd's in the AAC format?

I have researched and found out that the AAC format rules over the MP3 format as fas as sound quality goes with lossy formats. Example: AAC at 128 is better than MP3 at 160 as so forth. My questions are: What are the best settings for ripping cd's in the AAC format? Will I be able to burn cd mixes with the tracks I import into itunes after importing using the AAC format? Does the AAC format have VBR like the MP3 format? Is there other ripping software such as dbPoweramp and Exact Audio Copy that does a better job ripping cd's in the AAC format? Please help!

    mysteryroach wrote:

It is a matter of opinion, but I suggest 256 kb/s, CBR, and leave all other settings on automatic.
Will I be able to burn cd mixes with the tracks I import into itunes after importing using the AAC format?
Yes. Just put them in a playlist and burn.
Does the AAC format have VBR like the MP3 format?
Yes. You will see it as an option in the Import Settings.
Is there other ripping software such as dbPoweramp and Exact Audio Copy that does a better job ripping cd's in the AAC format?
EAC does a better job of correcting errors in damaged CDs, but for normal CDs iTunes does a fine job of ripping to AAC.

  • Can't reset SMTP settings on account preferences - inactive/gray

    I hope you can help.
It looks like Mail was updated (great in theory, bad in practice), and now I can't send from Mail. I get the error message : "SMTP settings are not sete, please use Accounts Preferences panle to set SMTP options.
So, I dig out my incoming server, pop.mail.yahoo.com and my ourtiong mail SMTP server info: smtp.mail.yahoo.com
But when I go to Preferences/Accounts, it won't let me make any changes. All the fields are gray and inactive, except for "E-mail aliases" which I tried and nothing happened.
Help! All advice is greatly appreciated!
    Amy

    Amy,
First of all, I don't know what you mean by "Mail has updated"-- please explain? if you mean Mail has suddenly opened as though new, then you may have an issue with available free space on your hard drive, or if partitioned, on the boot partition. Check free space if this is what happened.
As for the grayed out entry info, it appears you proceeded into setting up the account in the Preferences with the Account Type set to .mac, which of course, is not what you would use for a Yahoo account.
    More info, please.

  • SMTP Settings in production environment

    Hi,
This is my first project in BPM. I want to know the way how - SMTP settings are managed in Production environment. My concern is if I want to deploy my proces on to some other engine, is there any way so that I do not need to manually set the SMTP settings for new engine.
