HT4864 Emails from .mac or .me emails being bounced by Cisco Ironports

Is anyone else having problems with their .mac or .me email being bounced by Cisco Ironports? Mine recently began bouncing when sending email to my wife at work. She investigated it with their IT team and got the following response.
We did some research and with the system administrators assistance we've figured out what is causing this. Seems that a lot of @mac.com accounts have been compromised lately and have earned themselves a bad reputation with our spam blocking service, Cisco IronPorts. What this means is that it's not any settings on either side, nor anything we control but it is in Apple's court to remedy the issue with their e-mail servers to get a proper reputation again. This is causing e-mails to be blocked from @mac.com, @me.com and @icloud.com accounts worldwide.

I have also been having this issue for the last several weeks. Apple seriously needs to adjust whatever is causing outbound emails to get flagged. Apple also has the ability to work on their end to remove accounts that cause our email accounts to be lumped in with those causing the bad reputation. They also have the ability to work with upper level people at the companies where the rejection as spam is occuring, to help create specific algorithms to work around this for those not at fault. This has caused major disruptions in my business and is strangly unpredictable. Sometimes I get rejected, and sometimes it goes through to the same address. It doesn't make any sense to me but then again, I'm not a programmer. APPLE, PLEASE FIX THIS!

How to transfer multiple account emails from Mac Thunderbird to Windows Outlook 2013 ?

I have around 5 email accounts that I access at regular intervals. I have managed to keep these accouts from years and maintained each email in dufferent folders. Now I am about to give away my mac book and switch over to windows system. All I want is to
transfer the emails from Mac Thunderbird to Outlook in windows. I have transferred the datsbase files of each account from mac to windows laptop but dont know hoe to import these to Outlook 2013. These is no such option to import the thunderbird files in Outlook
2013.
Is there anything I am doing incorrect???

You can add multiple accounts in Outlook and use them separately. But to transfer your emails from Mac Thunderbird you first need to convert the emails of Thunderbird to .PSt format in order to import into Outlook Windows.
There are multiple options available online as this is a common issue.

HT5330 If I move from Mac/Mobile Me email to iCloud, will my current account's email vanish?

Probably a silly question. I am running Snow Leopard and for a couple of days have not been able to send mail from my long-time Apple email account. I have started the move from Mac/Mobile Me email to iCloud, when all I really need is to enable the iCloud SMTP server, I think.
When I was a few steps into the move, I reached the point where I had to either "continue" with my current email address/password, or create a new email account If I follow Apple's direction and "add" an account with my core user info, will I end up with "my" account as iCloud, but with my current account's email "vanished?"
I go back far enough that my Apple user name is not an email address, and my email address is dot.Mac, and I'd like to keep it that way, but right now I just want to be able to "send." Since my problem began I have been writing and then saving emails on my iMac, then opening them on my iPad or iPhone and sending the emails from those devices. Thank heaven for IMAP!!!!

[email protected] [email protected] and [email protected] are all the same thing: emails to all three go to the same inbox. You must presumably have gone through the migration process from MobileMe to iCloud before 1 August last, or you would have lost access to the account. However if you didn't set up Mail for the different iCloud server settings I wouldn't have expected to go on working this long.
In any case, I would suggest you delete the account from Mail (this won't delete anything on the server) and set it up again from scratch following the process described in this illustrated article:

Did you check your user name and password in Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars...tap your email account, tap SMTP, then tap the primary server name. Make sure the settings there are correct.

The logo is an attachment. Anything in an email message that is not text must be sent as an attachment in order to be compliant with email protocols. But many modern email programs will automatically display the contents of some attachments. Apple Mail will display JPEGs and single-page PDFs. Presumably your correspondents are using an application that displays JPEGs but not PDFs.
Some email programs expect attachments to come at the end of the message, not intermixed with the other contents of the message. 3rd party email addresses have to be deleted on every synmced mac product, although I have 1and1.co.uk and my imac updatetes the mails in that account from mac mail.
Yahoo etc is a 2 step deleting process but good to get your emails pushed when on the go.

Cannot Send emails from Mac Mail

I cannot send emails from my Mac Mail.
Originally got a error message to check with the ISP about port 25 being
timed out. I deleted the email account and recreated it a new.I did all the
checking and rechecking of the account settings and passwords etc.......
I then got this message
Error message: Server response was 5.1.0 authentication required
Comcast did not know the error message 5.1.0

You can try deleting the account on your iphone and setting it up again.

Unable to send email from Mac using Outlook for Mac 2011

I have a single user that cannot send email from the Mac after migrating to Exchange 2013 on-prem. I myself am on the same Exchange server and am using a Mac with Office 2011 and am able to send/receive emails without any issues.
When the user sends an email it goes to the sent mail folder and syncs with the server and can be seen on a windows machine running any other version of Office (same in OWA). I've logged the user in on my Mac and blown away my profile and seeing the same issue.
Not sure if this narrows my issue down to the Exchange server receiving the send request from a Mac or if it's some setting in Outlook on the Mac?
I do not see anything in the logs on the server and have not seen any error son the Mac.
Any thoughts as to where my issues is?

According to your description, I find that there is a single user cannot send email.
I suggest using Outlook on Windows machine and sending emails via this single user to verify whether the emails can be sent.
If the single user can send email via Outlook on Windows machine, it seems an issue on the Mac side.
I suggest asking Outlook for Mac Forum for help so that we can get more professional suggestions.

I suggest trying to access the single user's mailbox via OWA to verify whether the mailbox has been migrated completely.

Can not send email from Mac, iPhone, or iPad using mail using iCloud.

I can send email from the icloud web page but I get error messages that the icloud outgoing server is not recongized when I send email from my iphone, ipad and Mac mail. I can receive icloud email okay on all devices. I have manully setup a icloud server per instructions on icloud support page for mail's outgoing server name. It still is not recongized.

I found a work around that works. Got to Settings...Icloud....account......advanced....outgoing mail server.....
Add an "other" server.
Host Name p01-smtp.mail.me.com
Put in your me.com email address as username and your Apple ID password
SSL is on
Authentication is password
Server port 587
This worked for me.....I will use this until the bug is fixed. Don't make this server your primary. Leave it in "on" status in the other category.

Just set up my macmail with the help of the BT guys after a year of struggling! Hopefully this could work for others for whom the emails will receive but NOT send....
Set up your 3rd party domain names via the mail relay system and confirmed via BT. Then try these settings.....
In your @btconnect.com email set its up using these:
incoming mail server: pop3.btconnect.com
username: the bt email
password: the bt email password you supplied
outgoing mail: we'll come to this!
on the drop down box next to Outgong mail server (SMTP) select 'edit SMTP server list'
press '+' button and add these details....
In the Account information tab:
Description: mail.btconnect.com
Server Name: mail.btconnect.com
In the advanced tab:
Select 'Use default ports'
Authentication: Password
username: the bt email
password: the bt email password you supplied
NOW The next bit, the 'second' server....
press '+' fro a new server add these details....
In the Account information tab:
Description: second server (or any name you want)
Server Name: mail.btconnect.com
In the advanced tab:
Select 'Use default ports'
Authentication: NONE!
Now on all your email addresses back in the accounts section, set the SMTP server to 'second server' (or whater you hae called it) NOT mail.btconnect.com and select Use only this server.
