Go to the mail page at http://icloud.com , click the cogwheel icon at top right, choose 'Preferences' and uncheck 'Forwarding'.

Unless this is critcal for some reason I would not do this. Unless you understand all the techinolticcal pit falls you can leave your computer dangerusly exposed doing this. If you are not technical your best bet is going to be to get a wireless router with built in VPN support ($200 - $500) to give you a secure connection home. And then you will need the Apple Remote Desktop app ($90 I think) and even then it will only work if your work compute is also a Mac. There are probably other comerial apps that will let you remote into your Mac desktop on windows but will probably be in the $200 price range.

I can not find out how to turn off the auto reply function in Mail.

my Apple ID email and my me.com are not the same. I had both these operating before icloud. All my me.com emails have a "hi I am away from my desk I will reply shortly" auto reply which I can't disable because I can't find where the setting is. All my friends get the auto reply even if I have read the email. I have gone into icloud prefs and there is no auto reply turned on in the vacation setting area
It must be a remant from the me.com settings which I now cant access ...help -

I'm sure there's a simple answer to this because I've searched high and low and I just can't disable the auto-notify/auto-reply feature in iCal when I delete a meeting notice someone else invited me to.
What's the process for turning off this great feature (tongue in cheek)? I'm stumped.

How do I turn off hierarchical key wording in Lightroom? The Interface Preference for Auto Complete is already turned off, but I still get California>United States>North America when all I need is California.
You need to be signed in order to reply to posts.
One reason why you may see the hierarchical type format for the keywords is that you have keyword 'California' duplicated in your keyword list.
Lightroom will display them with "< Parent-keywords" appended to the end.
ie California < State < Country and California < United States
If you re-keyword the photos so they only use one version and then delete the duplicate keyword from your keyword list then it will display just "California".

How do I turn off auto split in iPhoto? I have about 8,000 old photos I would like to import but it splits them in to loads of events. Would just like to leave them in year folders.
First try, if importing a sample folder with two images with different days, more than a week apart, will import them as only one event on your mac and the autosplit is behaving the same for you as for me.
May be I will have to do it folder by folder which will take for ever.
Would it be possible for you to join some of the folders before importing?
Or join your events in iPhoto after importing. Creating yearly events is fairly simple (tested in iPhoto 9.5.1)
Create a smart album for each year (File > New ) with the smart rule "Date is in the range ...."
Then select all photos in this smart album and use the command from the "events" menu "create event". This will collect all photos in a new yearly event. -
