If your phone is disabled because you entered the wrong passcode too many times, you will have to restore it to remove the passcode (http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1414). If you have iOS 7, you will have to force it into recovery mode in order to restore it (see http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1808).

My iphone 3gs will not connect to itunes and it says that I need to do a system restore. It also says that I need to enter my password on the iphone to connect to itunes but I can not do this because the phone is in emergency phone call mode only.
Turn your phone off and connect your cable to the computer, but not the device just yet. Start up iTunes. Now, hold down the home button on your phone and plug it in to the cable - don't let go of the button until iTunes tells you it's detected a phone in recovery mode. Now you can restore to factory settings.
Unfortunately, the data on your phone is already gone if you're seeing the connect to iTunes logo. -

You are trying to restore from a backup. You need to search on how to put the phone into DFU mode to restore it without using the password. Google is your friend there.

I have put the phone into restore mode and connected to itunes, ( i downloaded the latest edition ) but it says its going to take 3 hours to download software - its still downloading and then earlier I got an error code oxE800002D. I cant find the error code so dont know what it means.

I HAVE AN IPHONE4, I CHANGED MY PASSCODE BUT FORGOT WHAT IT WAS THE NEXT DAY, AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTS TO UNLOCK MY PHONE BECAM DISABLED AND SAYING IPHONE DISABLED CONNECT TO ITUNES, HOWEVER MY PHONE ISNT SYNCED TO ITUNES NOR A COMPUTER, PLEASE TELL ME WHAT DO I DO AND HOW TO REGAIN ACCESS TO MY PHONE?You will have to put your phone into recovery mode and restore the phone as new. Since you don't have a back up, you will lose all the data on your phone but you will be able to use it again.

Open iTunes on computer, connect iPhone to computer with USB cable. Hold both Home and Power buttons on iPhone until iTunes recognizes iPhone in Recovery Mode. This usually takes about 20 seconds of holding both buttons. Restore the iPhone Firmware.
