If a contact is intentionally deleted from an iphone, how could/would it reappear later on?
On a Mac, PhoneView is one option (I've been happily using for a year or two). TouchCopy is another (have not heard anything negative about it).
You'll only get back the low-res versions that were downsized when synced to the phone, but better than nothing.

Have you checked to see if the media files are still on the computer? See Empty/corrupt iTunes library after upgrade/crash.

IM REALLY NOT VERY TECHY SO I REALLY COULD USE SOME HELP
IS IT BPOSSIBLE TO GET THE MUSIC OFF MY PHONE AND RE ADD IT TO THE LIBRARY THAT WAY?
OR COULD I DELETE ALL MY ITUNES SOFTWARE AND RE INSTALL IT AND THEN SYNC MY PHONE, WOULD IT COME BACK THEN?

Resolution
1. Quit iTunes.
2. Download and install the latest version of iTunes.
3. Use the Finder (Mac) or Windows Explorer (Windows) to go to the iTunes folder that contains the iTunes library files:
Mac OS X
/Users/username/Music/iTunes/
Microsoft Windows Windows XP and Windows 2000
\Documents and Settings\username\My Documents\My Music\iTunes\
Microsoft Windows Windows Vista and Windows 7
\Users\username\Music\iTunes\
4. Drag the iTunes Library file from the above location to the Desktop.
5. Open the Previous iTunes Libraries folder in the iTunes folder.
6. Locate the file named iTunes Library YYYY-MM-DD where YYYY-MM-DD is the date you upgraded iTunes (Year-Month-Day).
7. Drag this file to the iTunes folder (the enclosing folder).
8. Rename this file to iTunes Library.
9. Open iTunes.
You should now see your missing content in iTunes.

Contacts were deleted from my iphone 5 and now are gone on icloud. Is there a way to find them from a previous icloud backup?

is it possible to retrive or download a number/contact after its been deleted from your iphone? i deleted a number about 2-3 months ago and
now i really need it back. is it possible to retrieve this number or maybe view or bring up my entire or past call log which would have this numer in it?If it's not on icloud.com any longer you can't restore it from iCloud. (Contacts are only synced to your iCloud account, and are not included in the iCloud backup.)

When I updated my iPhone 3GS to i06, my contacts were messed up. Some of my contacts were lost, and one of my contacts which I had two numbers for, a new one and an old number, now only has one number and it is the old one. So, will I get my original contacts back if I choose the "Delete from my iPhone" choice?
Regarding the first question:
- The contacts on my iPhone right now, due to the connection with iCloud, are numbers that came from the iCloud account (which, unfortunately is my husband's account - I didn't realize it). Although we have some of the same people on our contacts, his, of course, contains his business contacts as well. Before the connection, my contacts were my social contacts and my business contacts. It looks like that not all my contacts from before the iCloud connection are there as some are missing and all of them have missing punctuation marks. All my photos that were on the contacts of the people are missing as well.
- I will have to check and see if my contacts are on the iCloud account also. Haven't checked that yet.
By the way, this all happened when I loaded the i06 update. That's when it asked me if I wanted to store it on iCloud. And when I clicked on it, everything changed on my contacts. -
My iphone contacts got synced with my daughter's ipod contacts and she deleted my contacts and now they are gone from my iphone. How do I recover my contacts?
First, your daughter needs her own iCloud account, otherwise her ipod will sync will all your data (email, calendars, contacts...). If you have a backup or a copy on your computer, you could turn off iCloud syncing on your iphone, then restore from your contacts via iTunes. After you get a new account for daughter, you can then turn on iCloud.

On your iPhone, go to settings> "mail contacts and calendars" and scroll down to the contacts section. Tap on "default account" and check what your default account is. change it to "on my iPhone" or "iCloud".
If there are other accounts (such as Hotmail, gmail, etc) included in that list, check the contacts section on the respective website.
A possible explanation for your issue is that (for instance) you once had gmail listed there, and all your contacts were syncing to gmail servers. You may have then added a different account which listed itself as the default contact syncing server, replacing the original information with what is on the new server (nothing)
If you have an exchange server listed, then you might want to have a talk with your works it department... -

Have you checked that contact syncing is still enabled on your device, (settings > iCloud > contacts). -
Why are random calendar events being deleted from my iphone when I sync it with ical?
My settings are such that events entered on both devices should push to both devices when I sync. The events being deleted from my iphone are not consistent (ie. older than a certain date), they are random.
This happens to me INCESSANTLY. I'm looking at my calendar events one second, and POOF!, the next second all of the events I've entered into the calendar- with the exception of birthdays that are on the actual contact information for a person- are GONE. My calendar settings are set to sync all events- no timeframe- and always have been. This happened to me nonstop on my old iPhone 3GS, and I was sure it was the phone causing this issue. Now, I have my new iPhone 5 in my hands and same ol' , different equipment. I have done EVERYTHING I can think of to prevent this from happening or to restore the data- including rebooting, holding home button and on/off at same time, etc.- and NOTHING works to restore the data. And then, just as magically as the data disappeared, POOF!- the data is back randomly sometime later. That "later" may be 5 mins, a day, several days. This is an absurd and EXASPERATING glitch that APPLE NEEDS TO FIX IMMEDIATELY!!! I'm starting to hate the iPhone and Apple in general when I continuously experience HUGE glitches like this that have a profound impact on what you're trying to accomplish within a feature that you DEPEND on... yet Apple has "never heard of that problem before". You suck, Apple. Don't send your problems out into the real world, to users who just gave you $800 for another glitchy piece of equipment that never solves your software issues.
