HT4865 My mac.me account has been hacked. What do I need to do?

I have received the following message notification report. Since I never sent the email I guess my account has been hacked. I have changed my password but assume this isn't enough to protect my account. Thanks for your prompt advice

That does not mean your account has been hacked.
All it means is that some spammer has attached your email address to some email he sent. That is incredibly easy to do (just change the From: address) and does not require access to your account.
Spammers do this all the time. There's nothing you can do about it. Just delete the bounced emails and it will subside when the spammers move on to other email addresses.

However, if the emails are not in your Sent folder, it's unlikely that your account was hacked. More likely some spammer is just using your address as the send from address. This is easily done and does not require access to your account to be done.

I think it's more of a virus rather than a hacking incident. You can try to run a full antivirus scan using a fully updated antivirus software.

Apparently my Spotify account has been hacked last night and the password & email address have been changed so I can't reset my password. My hacked account is "mrouhiai" I created this new account "mrouhiai_2" to post this message to this forum. I have never shared my account with anyone, and my email has not been compromised.
