I have the message "Back to My Mac isn't working properly because the server isn't responding". I tryed to turn off Mack to My Mac and I tryed again but nothing changed?
Can somebody help me what to do?

I was having the same problem but found a solution that worked for me.
    1. From the iCloud System Preferences pane, uncheck the Back to My Mac checkbox to turn it off.
    2. Open the Keychain Access app (in Applications/Utilities).
    3. Click the "System" keychain (You'll see keychains near the upper left of the app window).
    4. Make sure "All Items" is selected in the "Category" box below.
    5. In the results showing to the right, look for any key whose "Kind" is "Back to My Mac key."
    6. Delete the key(s), authenticating with your password to do so.
    7. Back in the iCloud System Preferences pane, re-check the Back to My Mac box.
At this point, Back to My Mac started and the "server not responding" message did not appear.
I'd tried unchecking and re-checking several times before to no avail. I hope it works for everyone.
Maybe the keys we had were tied to MobileMe and became invalid when MobileMe shut down?

  • Iphone 4 server not responding message

iphone 4 - "server not responding" message is coming up on my wifes ph.  can anyone help ?

It sounds as if accessing data via cellular was not working. That could have been for any number of reasons, but she would need to check and see if she is seeing signal for the phone, and that besides the signal strength and carrier name in the upper left corner, she should be seeing 3G or something else. This lets you know you are accessing the data network. It could be poor signal not allowing connection, it could be a bad link that would not allow a website to open, any number of things. If it is still not responding, then try a reset. Hold the sleepwake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. After the phone restarts, see if it is working.

  • When emailing from iPhoto I keep on getting 'server not responded' message.

Would anyone be able to help with the issue I have with iPhoto. Every time I try to email photos directly from iPhoto I get this message 'server not responded'. I have the lates Mountain Lion OSX installed on MBA. Also, in addition to iCloud account I tried to add two more email accounts to iPhoto hoping that this might solve the problem, but it didn't. Would anyone have any ideas what I might be doing wrong?
    Thank you.

    Marius,
set the mailer in the iPhoto Preferences to "Mail.app", not to "iPhoto"
    iPhoto > Preferences > General
              Email Photos using: Mail
This way you will be able to mail your photos directly from iPhoto, but you cannot use the iPhoto cards; use the Mail Photo stationary instead, once the mail panel opens.
For some reason mailing using iPhoto as Mailer works for me only, if I am mailing from my iCloud accoun,t and if Mail is set to use the iCloud account by default.
    Regards
    Léonie

  • Server Not responding message

Why am I receiving a message that says "server not responding" when using safari on my IPad?

When I reset safari it cleared the cache and deleted any cookies already. I tried it again but still no help. I've noticed there are random other sites I also cannot access with exactly the same error. It happens with Opera so it's not just a Safari issue and I've disabled Norton Security, even uninstalled it and that didn't resolve the issue either so I'm at a loss.

  • HT204053 Message: iCloud Server not Responding...  How do I correct?

All of a suddent my MacBook Air cannot connect to the iCloud Server.  I've reset my AppleID account, established a new password.  I can sign in to my account.  I can use iTunes and other features from my AppleID, but I no longer see the iCloud Server.

An Apple ID can be used two different ways, as the ID for iTunes Store purchases and or iCloud.  They can each use different IDs or the same one.
You say you can't sign into your account, which account?  iTunes Store or iCloud?  You say you can use iTunes and other features (what are they?), is this with the new password?  Are you still using the old password for the iCloud account?  Is it a different account than iTunes?

  • ICloud-server not responding

Hi, after having worked fine for long time, after a vacation this July "access to my mac" doesn't work any longer on my MacPro: saying that "iCloud-server is not responding".
At the same time, iMessage (but NOT the other iCloud-linked services) stopped working, demanding a new login at the start, but without succeeding in re-login and re-registering.
But this problem appears only with my MacPro (2008), not on my MBP (2013), my iPad 2 and my iPhone 5 when used in the same Wifi Network (home). So, I don't think that the problem is with the router settings (upnp allowed). All iCloud services work fine on the other three devices.
Anyone having the same problem lately?
Anyone having a solution for this?
Thanks in advance and best greetings.

I have found the solution for all of you interested: after I had have installed a new logic board, my Apple Reseller has forgotten to re-serialize my Mac Pro about 2 years ago. Only now, this had consequences - see my question above. The solution was "easy"...: I asked my Apple Reseller to re-serialize (= re-introduce the old/first serial number written on back of device) - and there we go: iCloud-server responding normally and so do. Back to my Mac ("Zugang zu meinem Mac"), iMessages and FaceTime which were down lately, probably due to some silent change Apple has introduced lately...

  • Server not responding message WHY?

    I have an iPad 2.
Since updating the software I have difficulty accessing the internet.
I get the following message: Safari could not open the page because the server stopped responding.
    Any suggestions?

    Some things to try first:
    1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
    2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
    3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at
    http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
    4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
    5.  Renew IP Address: (especially if you are drooping internet connection)
        •    Launch Settings app
        •    Tap on Wi-Fi
        •    Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
        •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.
Some Wi-Fi losses may stem from a problematic interaction between Wi-Fi and cellular data connections. Numerous users have found that turning off Cellular Data in Settings gets their Wi-Fi working again.
You may have many apps open which can possibly cause the slowdown and possibly the loss of wifi. In iOS 4-6 double tap your Home button & at the bottom of the screen you will see the icons of all open apps. Close those you are not using by pressing on an icon until all icons wiggle - then tap the minus sign. For iOS 7 users, there’s an easy way to see which apps are open in order to close them. By double-tapping the home button on your iPhone or iPad, the new multitasking feature in iOS 7 shows full page previews of all your open apps. Simply scroll horizontally to see all your apps, and close the apps with a simple flick towards the top of the screen.

  • Ipad 2 server not responding message

I have full fans on my wifi icon but for the last couple of days I have not been able to get online, the mesaage that keeps coming up is "CANNOT OPEN PAGE Safari could not open the page because the server stopped responding"
Has anyone else had this problem?
    Thanks

I have this issue as well.
It's not limited to Safari for me anymore- it's EVERY app.
I can get notifications, but can't use the apps.
Can't get Kindle, Newstand, iPlayer, Facebook, iTunes, Safari, etc.
I've only had an iPad 2 weeks, and wifi hasn't worked for half that time.
    Not impressed.
If there's a fix I'd LOVE to hear it.

  • 7410 NFS server not responding

    Greetings,
Anyone seeing "NFS server ... not responding" from a client of a 7410?
I have a 7410 with a single J4400 (22 1TB drives @ RAID1, 1 spare, 1 logzilla). It's running 2009.09.01.3.0,1-1.8, which I believe is the latest and greatest. There is one client, a T2000 running Solaris 10. We're using NFS v3 to mount four shares from the 7410. Mount options look like this:
box-nge2:/export/oracle/data     -       /oradata/data   nfs     -   yes rw,bg,hard,nointr,rsize=32768,wsize=32768,proto=tcp,vers=3,noac,forcedirectioA fairly large (~1TB) Oracle database lives here (although there was very little activity in the database when the following occurred).
Today I was cleaning up some old data files from a now unused Oracle instance. Pretty simple: rm -rf /oradata/data/DO-NOT-WANT/ . I was surprised to see the command appear to hang, and the "NFS server kwaltz-nge2 not responding still trying" message appear. Control-C eventually got me my prompt back.
When the system became responsive again a few minutes later I tried deleting files one at a time. Deleting some "large" data files (i.e 200GB or more) was taking more than 2 minutes, and caused the NFS server not responding message. Smaller files would take a few seconds.
Why is a simple "rm" command bringing the 7410 to its knees? Any thoughts? Thanks.

After some update issues, we also lost NFS. I created a test share and exported it to one of our Solaris 10 hosts. I got an rpcbind failure. This failure wasn't corrected by restarting the NFS service, nor rebooting the 7410. Rather, I had to DISABLE the NFS service, then re-enable it. After that, all connectivity returned.

  • On my iPad, wifi connected but receive "server not responding" error messages on every app including iTunes. Rebooted, reset settings (all

Help! Was using my iPad yesterday set it down for 10 minutes and all of a sudden received "server not responding" and "Cannot verify server" error messages. Cannot open/connect to iTunes to update software. Wifi is working with strong signal. Followed other message board suggestions: forgot network and readded, renewed lease, turned wifi off/on, reset network settings, reset all settings, powered off/on, rebooted, checked router. Internet works fine on laptop. I'm so frustrated and don't know what else to do. Any suggestions?

  • Just resolved Back to my Mac issue called Apple Suppport in the UK and they were really helpful if the error DNS server not responding the problem is with Apple server not your server ( I had tried to reboot by router, restart my laptop etc.

I was having problem with my Back to my Mac as message was saying DNS Server not responding . I tried to turn my WIFI off, then my router  to no avail. Decided to call Apple Support line in the UK . I got a call back immediatly and great support.  The advisor took over my screen and we check that my laptop was synchronising   with I phots and it was.  The adviser also told that when the message DNS server is not responding next to Back to my Mac is has to do with Apple Server not mine , router etc... Hope this save others some time! Rather than spending time truining on and off changing IP address etc...

Thanks for your thorough post. I too need to use BTMM on almost a daily basis for my job, and it has fallen short countlness times. I too have taken great pains to check all of the typical trouble shooting steps within iCloud and in the Apple keychain on each Mac etc, but after the latest rounds of system updates from Apple a few weeks ago to Mountain Lion, BTMM on one of my Macs is completely broken and unusable. I would concur that if you need remote access for "real" mission critical use, just bite the bullet and pay for a service like LogMeIn. You won't regret it and you will get real software support.

I do not really know much about this kind of problem, but i may be your internet connection.
If you are on your own #G network then:
Go to Settings > then enable "Airplane Mode". Count to 10 and then disable it.
Then wait patiently until you get a good connection and then try again.
If you are on a nearby Wi-Fi connection then:
Go to Settings > Wi-Fi > then disable then enable after counting to 10. Make sure that you are connected and then try again.
If all else fails, then you need to contact your provider for assistance.
