How can I transfer my iPhoto photos and iTunes library to my new iMac?
If the Migration Assistant won't do it, move them over as you would any other folder; they're located in the Pictures and Music folders of your home folder by default. The iPhoto library needs to be transferred via a drive, partition, or disk image formatted as Mac OS Extended or through an AFP network share.

How can I transfer songs from nano to itunes library?
I initially acquired songs from my father's cd's and computer. Came home, set up itunes here and want to transfer my dad's songs into itunes. Help! Thank you!
If you have any iTMS purchases the transfer of purchased content from the iPod to authorised computers has been introduced with iTunes 7. A paragraph on it has been added to this article: Transfer iTunes Store purchases using iPod
The transfer of non iTMS content such as songs imported from CD is designed by default to be one way from iTunes to iPod. However there is a manual method of accessing the iPod's hard drive and copying songs back to iTunes on Windows. The procedure is a bit involved and it won't recover playlists but if you're interested it's posted in this thread: MacMuse - iPod to iTunes
If you prefer something more automated then there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod. This is just a selection, you'll find that they have varying degrees of functionality and some will transfer movies, videos, photos and games as well. Have a look at the web pages and documentation, they are generally quite straightforward. You can also read reviews of some of them here: Wired News - Rescue Your Stranded Tunes

How can I transfer songs from Ipod to Itunes library?
I recently lost my entire Itunes library but still had songs on my Ipod. Now when I try to rebuild my library by transferring songs FROM my Ipod TO the Itunes library, I am unable to. There are a million help subjects of how to transfer your songs from the library to the ipod but none about how to transfer them back and I can't figure it out. Please help!
Connect your iPod to your computer. If it is set to update automatically you'll get a message that it is linked to a different library and asking if you want to link to this one and replace all your songs etc, press "Cancel". Pressing "Erase and Sync" will irretrievably remove all the songs from your iPod. When your iPod appears in the iTunes source list change the update setting to manual, that will let you use our iPod without the risk of accidentally erasing it. Check the "manually manage music and videos" box in Summary then press the Apply button. Also when using most of the utilities listed below your iPod needs to be enabled for disc use, changing to manual update will do this by default: Managing content manually on iPod
Once you are safely connected there are a few things you can do to restore your iTunes from the iPod. The transfer of content sources such as songs imported from CD is designed by default to be one way from iTunes to iPod. You'll find that they have varying degrees of functionality and some will transfer movies, videos, photos, podcasts and games as well. Have a look at the web pages and documentation, this is just a small selection of what's available, they are generally quite straightforward. If you have any iTunes Music Store purchases the transfer of purchased content from the iPod to authorised computers was introduced with iTunes 7. You'll find details in this article: Copying iTunes Store purchases from your iPod or iPhone to a computer
There's also a manual method of copying songs from your iPod to a Mac or PC. The procedure is a bit involved and won't recover playlists but if you're interested it's available on page 2 at this link: Copying Content from your iPod to your Computer - The Definitive Guide
Whichever of these retrieval methods you choose, keep your iPod in manual mode until you have reloaded your iTunes and you are happy with your playlists etc then it will be safe to return it auto-sync. I would also advise that you get yourself an external hard drive and back your stuff up, relying on an iPod as your sole backup is not a good idea and external drives are comparatively inexpensive these days, you can get loads of storage for a reasonable outlay. -

How can I transfer Elements 10 from my Mac Mini to my new iMac?
Hi all!
I recently purchased Elements 10 and installed it on my Mac Mini only because my old iMac was dying. I now have a new iMac and I would like to have Elements 10 on the iMac and remove it from my Mac Mini. I want to do this because the Mac Mini is used as a music server. The iMac desktop is my main computer and is a much better place to have Elements 10.
Can I do this? What do I need to do?
Thanks in advance!
DaveOn the mini, go to Editor>Help Deactivate. Then install PSE on the imac. You can actually have it on two computers, but if you don't want it on the mini anymore you might as well free up that activation for future use.
Don't try to copy PSE to the new computer. It installs stuff in many places, not just the applications folder, unless you have the app store version, in which case you would just go to app store>purchases on the imac to add it there. The app store version can be installed on all the macs that use the same app store/itunes ID, no matter how many that may be, -

How can I transfer my iPad iBooks to iTunes library?
I'm having a problem getting my iPad books into my mac and I really could use some help. The situation is, my mac got stolen a few months ago and I finally could get a new one. I also have an iPad, where I had thankfully stored all my iBooks. They're backuped to iCloud cause I could restore them to said iPad (using iOS 6) just using my Apple id. But most of them weren't bought at the iTunes store but downloaded from other places. The only thing I can see in iTunes (v. 11.0.2) when I connect the iPad is the ones I bought at the iTunes Store. How do I do to get my old ones in iTunes and (now that I know how hard this is) in my mac to do another backup somewhere else than in iCloud?
Has someone done this before and could help me? I've been looking for it for hours and I can't seem to find a solution. I'd be very grateful if someone could point me out in the right direction. I mean, they're there! How do I get them? Help!Thank you. That would have worked too, but before getting the answer I found another solution: what I finnaly did was use Detunes to copy my books from the iPad. It was quite fast too. Any of those could have worked quite nicely.

HT5312 How can I transfer money from an old iTunes account to my new one?
I got a new iTunes account because the old one kept asking me for security questions. I don't remember them so I went to the support page and tried to reset them but it wouldn't let me click on boxes to put in my information. All I want is to get the money from my old account to my new. And I don't know what to do. Help?
You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; ways of contacting them include clicking here and picking a method for your country, phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, and filling out and submitting this form.
Getting the money transferred requires using the form, and that you still have the gift card it came from, and that none of that card's balance has been spent.
