HT4890 How do I view pictures in photo stream online?

How do I view pictures online for photostream? I am so frustrated that I can't figure it out. Does anyone know?

There is no Photo Stream picture viewer function on the icloud.com website. The Photo Stream function is just to move pictures around among your devices and computers, not to display them.
On the other hand, there is a "journal" feature in the iPhoto app for iOS that creates somethng vaguely like a photo album that can be viewed with a web browser, and the journal is stored in iCloud, but it is not accessed through icloud.com.

Have set up photo stream on  my mac and sent some pictiures to my wife.  She has an email and when try and open the pictures says must have updated Mountian lion and iphoto and icloud
So I updated them all on her machine but still clicking on the email just brings a message saying need updated icloud etc?

Finally after three tries you explained
So you are using (or trying to use) a shared PhotoStream
Did you read the instructions in the links I posted?
What do I need to use Photo Stream?
To use Photo Stream, including Shared Photo Streams, you need an iCloud account, compatible devices, and up-to-date software:
iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iOS 6.0 or later
Mac with OS X Mountain Lion v10.8.2 or later and iPhoto 9.4 or Aperture 3.4 or later
PC with Windows 8, Windows 7, or Windows Vista (Service Pack 2) and the iCloud Control Panel 2.1 or later for Windows
Apple TV (2nd generation) with Software Update 5.1 or later
You can still use Photo Stream without Shared Photo Streams if your devices meet these requirements:
iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iOS 5.1 or later
Mac with OS X Lion v10.7.5 or later and iPhoto 9.2.2 or Aperture 3.2.3 or later
PC with Windows 7 or Windows Vista (Service Pack 2) and the iCloud Control Panel v2.0 or later for Windows
Apple TV (2nd generation) with Software Update 5.0 or later

How do I turn on Photo Stream?
Once your devices are up to date and you have set up your iCloud account, it’s easy turn on Photo Stream on any of your devices. Here’s how:
On your iOS devices, go to Settings > iCloud > Photo Stream, and turn on My Photo Stream and Shared Photo Streams.
On your Mac, go to System Preferences > iCloud and select the checkbox for Photo Stream. Click the Options button to verify that both My Photo Stream and Shared Photo Streams are enabled. Then, open iPhoto or Aperture to confirm that My Photo Stream and Shared Photo Streams are turned on in the application you want to use with Photo Stream. You can also adjust your Photo Stream settings in iPhoto or Aperture Preferences.
On your PC, open the iCloud Control Panel for Windows and select the checkbox for Photo Stream. You can click on the Options button to verify that both My Photo Stream and Shared Photo Streams are enabled and adjust the settings. Be sure to click Apply.
Does she have OS X 10.8.2 or above? Does she have iPhoto 9.4 or above?

if you have iphoto 9.2.3 or later, and photostream is on the left hand side, just drag the images into the trash.
the only other option is to nuke all of them at once by signing into icloud.com clicking on your name in the top right, then going to advanced. and pressing the Reset Photostream button.
or alternatively, a quick google search will show you http://howto.cnet.com/8301-11310_39-20121486-285/how-to-delete-photos-from-photo -stream/   which says exactly what i just said

That's because the photo stream is your iCloud photos. You can delete the entire photo stream, but not individual pics. Or if you take more than 1,000 pictures, the oldest one will automatically be deleted

  • HT201317 Why can't I view my iPhone photo stream online?

I have an older laptop and it doesn't support the new software for iCloud. (REALLY bummed me out that Apple did that!) without resources to purchase new - I've lost a bit of appreciation for apple in that regard (just sayin)
Anyway, I thought iCloud was set up so you could view your streamed pictures from anywhere at iCloud.com. Am I just totally out of luck in that respect? And why would you purchase extra space for iCloud if you can't even access your pics?
Also - I have an iPad that I can't even figure out how to get iCloud on it. The settings are there - but no iCloud in my apps.

There is no web viewable PhotoStream except for ones you choose to share with others. You can access your pictures from iOS devices (iPhone, iPad, iPod touch and AppleTV) plus Macs and PCs.
Photos aren't the only thing that uses iCloud space, so there are many reasons why you'd purchase extra.
After signing into your iCloud account on your iPad, your data stored in iCloud (such as contacts, calendars, notes, email, bookmarks etc.) automatically appears in the various apps that iCloud uses, such as Contacts, Calendars, Safari, Notes, Photos.
It sounds like familiarising yourself with what iCloud does, how it works and how to use it would be beneficial to you. I'd recommend reading the Help:

How to delete some of the pictures in photo stream?

You can delete photos from your photo stream the same way you delete other photos from your iOS device or Mac. Just select the photos you want to remove, then tap the trash icon or click Delete.
On your PC, select the photos you want to remove from your photo stream, right-click, then select delete.
When you delete a photo from My Photo Stream on one device, iCloud will automatically delete it from the My Photo Stream album or view on your other devices.

What happens when you try to play the actual film ? And have you tried deleting them and (assuming that they're still in the store) redownloading them via the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page - or going into Edit > Preferences and on the Store tab ticking the 'show iTunes in the Cloud purchases' tick box so that they show in the My Movies part of your library with a cloud icon against it for redownloading) ?
(You can't store films in the cloud, whether they will show there for redownloading depends upon what country that you are in - and if you move countries or if the rights-holder removes them then you also won't be able to redownload them. Ideally you'd be taking a backup copy of all of your downloads, and not relying on being able to redownload them in the future.)
