HT4901 Calendar events deleting themselves on iOS 7

After changing to the new iOS 7, my calendar events have been deleted and when I try to recreate them they simply disappear when I leave the app. I rely upon the calendar to keep track of my events at college, and would love any help fixing this. Thanks!

I did every thing !!!

  • Calendar Events Deleting

    Hey all,
We use Novell Groupwise for exchange.  One of the people at our organization has been having issues since he got the phone.  Apparently, several events from his calendar are being deleted in the span of a minute on occasion.  When I go in his GroupWise account, I see them in his trash.  So, if we monitor it we can move them back to calendar, but it's a bit of a pain.   (He says e-mails also disappear.  There are several unread e-mails in his trash.)
I don't think he is accidentally deleting them because it happens so quickly for so many messages.
Anyone experienced this problem with the Revolution?  We have 100+ phones using exchange and we haven't experienced this with another account.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

MNIT, thank you for your post and I would like to help you with this issue. I have not seen any settings on the Revolution to cause this or seen others report this issue. Are you receiving your email at work via Outlook? If so, check Outlook settings to verify Outlook is not removing the messages from the server after being read or after a certain amount of time. Here are the steps. They will vary depending on which version of Outlook you have.
If you are still having issues after this, try removing the Groupwise account completely from the phone. Try adding calendar events on his computer and send test emails to verify they don't delete. Then re-add the account to the phone.
    I hope this helps!

  • Calendar events deleted

While trying to get new events that I had added to my iTouch onto iCal and MobileMe (still unsuccessful), one event I added was deleted and two that I changed (time and date) went back to the old time and date. All of these events were added/modified today on my iTouch. Is there any way to restore them and/or make sure this doesn't happen again? They never showed up on iCal or MobileMe. I am hoping they are the only things that were erased...
I'm feeling very over this iTouch and thinking I need to just go back to my old Palm. Especially now that I have to call two doctor's offices to ask about appointments I just made.

Did you sync the BB with your Computer?
If you're using Outlook, check if your calendar events are still there.

  • Removing calendar event suggestions in Notes iOS 8

Recently after updating to iOS 8, I have been getting calendar event suggestions in my Notes app for things completely unrelated to the calendar. For example, one of my notes has the line "My Record - 1.11.34". This was meant to be a note of my personal record (1 min 11.34 seconds) on something, but instead the program is recognizing it as a calendar event on Jan 11, 2034. The "1.11.34" is underlined in yellow, which is really annoying. Is there a way to disable this?

I've read through a few similar threads and many of the solutions haven't worked for me:
    Removing account and re-adding it
Anything to do with setting time zone on the phone
I finally found that my Google calendar had created the events as GMT in the browser... I didn't believe that was the case, but sure enough -- it was.  The problem, for me, was displaying the 6:45am event with an additional row stating: 11:45am (GMT).
I edited the time zone in my Google calendar appointment via the web page; to Central and it (eventually) synched and fixed it on my iPhone.  While I was waiting, I tested creating a new appointment via web browser in Google Cal with the correct time zone.
This doesn't sound like the same exact problem as all users, but it definitely matches *some* of the problems people are describing here.

  • Sync: old calendar events deleted from Exchange

    Hi,
we have 8 users of Blackberry 8330 who are synchronizing with Exchange 2003 via Outlook 2007 and Blackberry Desktop Manager v5.0_b028.
For most of them, all is fine, but two users recently noticed that all non-recurring calendar event older that 2 months have been erased from Exchange. Moreover, one of these users noticed this morning that an event that she could see yesterday in Outlook, dated 2009-11-07, was erased this morning during the synchronization.
What can be happenning here, and is this behavior configurable?
    Regards,
    Marc Delisle

I found the problem was a setting on the SLVR for deleting events in the phone's datebook after the set amount of time passed.

  • Is there a way to audit calendar event deletions?

    Good afternoon all.
I've got a client who would like to audit calendar event removal. I'm not finding any seemingly good method for this, and I'm not seeing deletions being logged. Has anyone come up with a solution for this?

    This is false.
When you host an OSX calendar and contact server everything is contained in the logs.
Open up the logs delete a calendar. You will see the deletion and it will tell you the user who did it.

  • Could not connect to server, now calendar events deleted!

Hi all.  I was having trouble with my yahoo account on my phone.  I couldn't send/receive any messages, and I would get an error saying 'cannot connect to server.'  I came on here looking for a solution.  Several people said they fixed this issue by deleting their yahoo account from their phone, and then adding it back on.  I did that and it worked.  That was last night.  Today, I realized that most of my calendar events are gone!  Recurring ones are there, but all future events are gone and I'm in panic mode, since this is where I keep all my appointments!!  I tried syncing my phone, and that didn't work.  I tried some other things that people had mentioned when I looked up calendar events being deleted, but these didn't seem to work either.  Seriously panicking here.  Anyone??

  • Declined calendar event still appears on iOS devices

If i remove certain days of a repeating event from Calendar (Mac OSX)...say for example a daily meeting...the event is deleted from those days in Calendar, however they still appear in my calendar on iOS.  The details now show that I have declined the meeting for those days, but it should really be removed from my calendar.  I can't find a setting anywhere that makes this possible.

    Upon further poking around --
In iCal on MacOS, under the "View" menu, there is an option to show or to hide declined events.  So I-- and I guess you and I think many people-- choose sensible to hide declined events.  (*Why do I want to fill my calendar with things I am not doing?)
But iOS does not offer this option; and iOS seems to default to "show declined events".  And for this reason, our iOS devices do not show the same content as our desktop devices.  And this makes it feel, from a user point of view, like it is broken -- because functionally, it is broken.
(*Note that this seems to be a fairly old issue: in addition to the links above, there are also posts on this topic going back to users of mobileme -- and none of the threads have any comment from Apple, which is disappointing as attention to usability is generally the distinguishing feature of their products...)

  • Calendar event notes entered in IOS do not sync to exchange

I have a user who just upgraded to an iphone 6.  When he creates a calendar entry in Outlook, (using exchange with ActiveSync) the entry shows on his iphone.  If he creates an entry on his iphone and fills in the Title, Location, and the Notes within that event, and saves it (press Done), the notes do not sync to Outlook but the event (date, time, title, location) does.
    - we have removed the calendar and re-added it.  not fixed.
    - we have double-checked the username/e-mail to ensure it is entered exactly as it appears in exchange (all lower case letters)
    - we have confirmed his exchange settings are the same as users who have this working for them.
This was working correctly with his 4s a couple days ago.

    Afternoon All,
This seemed to start on the 23rd Sept but I didn't raise it with apple support (8th Oct) since I thought it was just me.
I tried a lot more steps than listed above to try and sort this one and on different devices too (iPad Mini, Air, 4s, 5s, 5, Exchange 2003, 2010, 2013, Server 2008 R2 & 2012/2012R2 just for kicks) with no effect whatsoever.
After going through enough web-chat / phone eventually they wanted to charge to speak to enterprise support as Exchange Activesync is an enterprise product.
    Still not working in 8.1.1.
    Works fine on iOS 7
I've given up adding calendar notes on the iOS devices, even with the workaround it's a pain!

  • HT201320 Why calendar events deleted after google calendar was synced to my phone?

Why after adding my google account email to my phone did it sync my google calendar and then delete all the previous events I had on my calendar? How do I get them back??

Did they actually get deleted or are they simply not showing?
    Open the Calendar app.
    Select Calendars at the bottom
What calendars are selected to display?

  • Calendar events deleted after trying to sync

I tried to sync my iphone calendar to icloud so I could access it on my ipad but it appears that everything has been deleted.  Any ideas? I don't think my calendar was included in the backup.

Does your calendar appear on icloud.com when you check from your computer?

  • HT4901 Calendar appointment delete

Our iCloud calendar contains many appts for the last few months. The calendar on our iPad and iPhone only shows one month back. We would like to see our old calendar appts for at least three months. I do not see any settings on when old appts get deleted. How can this be changed?

Go to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Sync (in the Calendars section) and set this to a longer time period.

  • My old calendar entries deleted themselves. I lost all  my history. WHY?

This is the second time my prior calendar entries have disappeared. Gone. Everything longer than a month ago.
    Why does this happen?
Is there a way to prevent it?

Make sure that Sync entries older than 30 days is checked in settings.

  • How do I delete a calendar event (repeating daily forever) that I accepted on my iPhone from a mobileMe iCal invite?

    Hi,
I'd like to know how to delete a calendar event from my iPhone4 (iOS 5.1) calendar. The event was sent to me from a mobileMe synced iPhone4 (iOS 5.1) calendar and for some reason it was set to daily repeat forever.
The event has been deleted from the originators calendar now, but the result has not been propagated to my calendar, despite an update being sent out. When I attempt to accept it just hangs and doesn't update in my calendar.
More annoyingly, the event doesn't have an edit button in my calendar, so I cannot delete it (and all other occurences) myself.
Any ideas on how to remove it?
    Thanks,
    Rich

A workaround. Not perfect but it gets rid of it.
Do the below link's steps and then deselect that calendar from view.

  • How can I drag & drop / copy & paste COPY Calendar event on iPad iOS6?

How can I copy Calendar events on the iPad iOS 6?
I have read various forums on this subject and have not found an answer on how to perform this basic function.
To be clear, I am NOT asking how to drag & drop MOVE an event, rather how to duplicate an event.
In this way, I would not have to create a new event on a different date that is very similar to an existing one.
If I have missed this in the manual just tell me where it is discussed and I will check it again.
    Thank you!

    Hi,
I don't think it is possible to do that in iOS 5.
    Best wishes
