HT4906 Photo Stream Help?

I have Mac OSX 10.7.5 and IPhoto 9.4.3, but when I try to turn on "My Photo Stream", it is not showing in the source list.
How can I get it to show up. Have also tried to accept a Photo Stream invite, but cannot get this loaded.
Please help!

Log out of iCLoud and turn off Photo stream on all devices - reboot and turn them all on and see if it will start
I am setup on ICloud and have the proper software.
you do not have the proper software for shared PhotoStreams - that is why
Have also tried to accept a Photo Stream invite, but cannot get this loaded.
Shared PhotoStreams require Mt Lion
Have you logged into iCLoud in the system preferences as suggested?

  • I do not understand iPhoto and/or Photo Stream, help me?

I do not understand iPhoto to say the least. I've imported my photos which I have stored on an external networked hard drive. However after they've been uploaded to the iPhoto library, I've got NUMEROUS duplicates which seem to be showing as different events even though they are the same photo.
Another thing is that in Photo Stream which I have turned on my iPhone 4, I seem to have photos showing up in there that have nothing to do with a photo I've taken on my iPhone or manually dragged them to Photo Stream. They are mostly some old photos that I've NEVER had on my iPhone at all. How did they get there. My photos that I've taken with the phone or saved on my Iphone are there just like I was expecting but most of these photos, and this is while I'm on my iMac, are just a bunch of random photos. I don't even know how to delete these photos in Photo Stream to try and start over.
Could someone help me understand iPhoto and/or Photo Stream, these are two different questions please!

Is there a specific file that iPhoto makes and stores on my computer or the external drive that has the iPhoto library? I want to delete all instances of it and try reloading my library.
Also, how do I reload or start fresh a Photo Stream library on my computer? What's weird is that the photos on my iMac are not what's on my iPhone. I mean I have the ones that are on my iPHone are within the iPhoto's Photo Stream but then there is also a bunch of other photos that I have no idea how they got there.

  • Photo stream help!!

Alright so I recently set up Photo stream on my MBP and photo stream is only showing 11 photos out of the 987 photos that are under the Photo stream tab in my iPhone.... Any help guys ??

Your photostream will only show what is currently stored in iCloud, when you activate the photo stream on a device. It will download what it finds in iCloud.
This way the photo stream can look differently on all devices.
See: iCloud: Photo Stream Troubleshooting, the paragraphph I see different photos in Photo Stream on each of my devices.

  • HT4906 Photo stream unavailable

I'm now running Lion & no software updates are available yet I keep getting this page when I try to turn photostream on. Help please

Excuse me for bad english (French is my mother tongue).
I solved this problem on my Macbook Pro and on my iMac.
    1.I closed iPhoto
    2. I deactivated 'Photo Stream' under System-Preferences-iCloud.
    3. I Open iPhoto
    4. In left part of iPhoto just before 'Albums' is the word 'WEB' then near is the word 'Show' (or maybe 'display' because I use the french version of iPhoto).
    5. Clic the word 'Show'.
    6. In right part you can see now the button 'Activate Photo Stream'.
    7. Clic this button, then in the left part, under the word 'WEB' appears the word 'Photo Stream'.
    8. Clic the word 'Photo Stream' and now your photo sream is downloaded.
9 Thats all. Nice week-end everybody.

  • HT4906 Photo Stream Mistery?

My MacBook Air is not syncing with Photo Stream... my other devices are; iPad, iPhone, iMac.  I tried everything, and I am at a lost.
    Any ideas?

What is "everything" you tried? If it really were everything, there would not much be left for us to suggest

  • HT4906 Photo Stream not working

I have iphoto 9.  Suddenly Photo Stream is not working...no photos taken are coming to my desktop from iPhone 4 or iPad 2.  In system preferences, iCloud, it says I need to update, but software update says everything is up to date.  I am confused.  Do I need to update to Life 11?

IPhoto '09 does not support photo stream. You need iPhoto '11. Latest version is 9.2.3.
From '09 to '11 in an upgrade not an update.

  • HT4906 photo stream is not  starting

photo stream is not working in my mac mini

I was seeing the same thing. It just wasn't working any longer. I also thought it was broken. I'd read the "setup", checked my settings. My iPhone 4S (iOS 6.0.1) Photo Stream is set to "On".  My MacAir (OS 10.8.2) >System_Preferences>iCloud>Photo_Stream(checked)>Options>My_Photo_Stream(checke d)
I'd take a photo with my iPhone and it would no longer would automatically stream to my iCloud and then to my MacAir and iPad.
However, I just found the problem...I had my WiFi turned off on my iPhone and as soon as I turned it back on, the photos streamed to my MacAir. Problem solved.

  • HT4906 Photo Stream will not remain checked in my system preferences

I have photo stream on my phone and ipad.    2 problems are calendar does not update to phone and photo stream cannot connect with computer.   I keep checking it in the system preferences and it doesn't connect and unchecks itself.

That has nothing to do with iPhoto. Try posting in the iCloud forum or the forum for your OS

  • HT4906 Photo Stream unavailable with Mountain Lion

I'm trying to sync my photos from my iPhone to my MacBook Pro via iCloud/Photostream. I just downloaded and installed Mountain Lion and have iPhoto '11 version 9.1.1. When I try and turn on photo stream on my MacBook it says I need an update but there is no update available in the App Store!?!?

Yes, Photostream is on in OSX Preferences and the iCloud accounts are the same account and if I put photos into the Photostream in iPhoto, those are seen on the iOS devices.  It's just the iPhone images are not seen in iPhoto (under Photostream).
This is probably a different issue than the OP, given that detail, so probably should be it's own issue.  Just the first issue I found referencing Mt. Lion Photostream issue.  (Shame on me)

  • HT4906 photo stream without iphoto

I am wanting to use Photostream to see my pictures in all my devices but I don't want to use Iphoto, since it is clunky and not useful. Is there any other program with which I can use photostream? Can I use photostream directly uploading my select folders?

To use Photo Stream on your Mac, you need either iPhoto or Aperture, see
    iCloud: Photo Stream FAQ :
To use Photo Stream, you need to sign up for iCloud with an Apple ID, and you need to update your devices with the following software:
iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iOS 5.1 or later
Mac with OS X Lion v10.7.3 or later,  and iPhoto 9.2.2 or Aperture 3.2.3 or later
PC with Windows 7 or Windows Vista (Service Pack 2) and the
iCloud Control Panel 1.1 or later for Windows
Apple TV (2nd generation) with Software Update 5.0 or later

  • HT4906 Photo stream with Apple TV2

Why can't I sign in on ATV2 photo stream set-up.  After entering apple ID password I get a message aging unable to sign in and that iCloud terms and conditions have changed?.

As I read this it should work. http://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/
However it has nothing to do with iPhoto for Mac. Try the Apple TV forum fir ATV questions. https://discussions.apple.com/community/appletv/appletv

  • HT4906 Photo stream issue

I can't get Photo stream to work on Lion, which I recently installed.  I follow the instuctions to download, keep getting this message:  "There is a problem with the subscription.  Request to thr server macappstore://showUpdatePage failed."  Any suggestions?

Well given that you're on 10.6, I wouldn't expect it to. You need 10.7.2 and iPhoto 11 for photostream
