HT4910 Export old iphone 3 contacts to PC and upload to icloud or new iphone 4
So i cannot utilize itunes successfully to import contacts from my old Iphone 3 and export to new iphone 4. I tried backup of the iphone 3 then restore from backup to my new iphone 4.
I tried using export windows address through itunes and it was successful as a group but not in a format icloud can import. If i select vCard it is one item at a time. UGH!
So i downloaded a program that worked but only allows 20 contacts. I have MANY more...
ANyone have any ideas?
I used iPhone Contacts Backup to download my iPhone contacts directly to my PC and store them for backup.
I have an older iPhone 3G and unfortunately could not use the iCloud as a method for backup.

Hope u can helpFirst thing to check: from a computer (you will not be able to get to it from Safari on your iPhone), go to www.icloud.com and verify the contact list there is complete. If not, the contacts did not sync properly from the old phone adn you may want to resync (turn contacts off in teh mail settings then back on).
Also, are all of the contacts strickly icloud, or did you sync from another source, such as gmail or FaceBook? -
I can not complete my 4s setup because it can not select my att 2wire router. It sees and just spins. I can not go forward without the wi-fi connection. How can I get it to select my 2wire router internet connection?
What you need is a wireless router. This will allow you to connect all your devices. You should NEVER run just a modem and PC without a router in between due to the hardware SPI firewall the router has built into it. This is leaving your PC open to outside attacks. Get a wireless router.

I have a honda civic with USB port which allows play back of my old iPhone 4 and 4s. With the new iPhone 5 the radio shows the phone is conected but does not show any music content. Any Suggestions?
You should be syncing your contacts with an app on your computer or cloud service (iCloud, Gmail, Yahoo, etc), and not relying on a backup. If you haven't been doing this, start now and then restore your old backup. You will then be able to sync the new contacts back into the phone. However, you will lose all messages, etc newer thant the backup.

My wife and I both have the new iPhones. Is there a way to set up two separate iCloud accounts but have photo stream from both phones sync with one family mac? So, we don't want to share contacts or anything else, just photos... Thanks in advance
If you turned off Contacts wouldnt that mean that the Contacts would no longer be backed up to iCloud as well? That would make it a pain when upgrading a phone to not easily pull contacts back down.

I'm backing up my iPhone 4S to iTunes (and not to iCloud).
I haven'tyet needed to restore the backup to my existing phone or a new phone.
Is there a way to check in iTunes whether my Contacts are stored there?
Also, occasionally, after a backup, I am unable to locate some names/information in my iPhone Contact list.
Is there a way to prevent this?

From the File menu in iTunes, choose Show Duplicates. iTunes will then list all of the duplicate titles in your library.
If you delete a music in the iTunes folder, then when you try to play that particular music in your iTunes, it won't work as iTunes wouldn't be able to find it. However, when you import music on to your computer, always import straight into your iTunes, no where else. -

When you plug in your phone go to the sidebar on the left, select the device, and select the menu you want to sync.
For example at the top there is summary, info, apps, movies, etc.
If you wanted to sync movies go under there and pick and chose the movies you want on the device.
Let's assume you are doing that and syncing is not going properly. Then first double check that there is a checkmark in the top left of that page that says sync movies
If there is uncheck and then hit apply. Then it will take all the movies off. Now re-check everything and hit apply. -

Sorry, there is nothing you can do until the device is removed from the sellers Apple ID.

No. iPhone 4S uses microsim, iPhone 5 uses nanosim.

When I upload photos from my old lightroom 3 program they come into photoshop at 14% zoom percentage which is what I want them to come in at so I can zoom them in to detail the skin. What might have changed settings wise between the 2 programs, I cannot figure it out.

I want to remove my library from my old iPod touch and put it on my new iphone
I have an old iPod touch that I want to give away to a friend. I want to transfer my music to my new iPhone. My iTunes is on an old laptop. I want to move that library to a new laptop. What I the best way to move my iTunes, decommission my old iPod rich, and install music on my new iPhone?

I have just set up icloud and all my contacts are duplicated from Address Book! My new iPhone is also showing duplicate contacts even though they are not duplicated in my address book on my computer. Please can you help?
Also, what are the source of your contacts? are they created on the phone, or you synced from yahoo/hotmail etc.
If thats the case, the circular arrow wont be visible but instead show "groups"
Contacts from different accounts are not synced to iCloud.
