how to transfer files from mac to ipad without using itunes ???
as i want to use my ipad for official use as well...please suggest..

well to be 100% technical, no you didn't but that aside, it good to know there are ways for people to transfer music into the default apps without iTunes, if they have a need.
I tend to use 3rd party apps for documents, like your mentioned iExplorer etc, which are handy.
I see from a search the two "apps" you mentioned are not iOS apps, which I had assumed, SyncPod and FreeSync are apps for your computer, that would explain their access to the default Music/Video apps.
I had wondered how Apple had allowed iOS apps in the store that could get around the sandboxing in iOS of apps.

  • How to transfer files from iMac to iPad 2

What's the best way to transfer files from iMac to iPad, like a Keynote presentation?

It's probably not as "simple" as using DropBox, but it's there. When in the Apps section of iTunes, just scroll down to the bottom where there is a listing of installed apps that can use the iTunes data exchange. Documents available on the computer can be synced TO the device while those available on the device can be syned TO the computer.

  • How to transfer files from PC to iPad air 2?

How do I transfer files from my PC (Dell) to my new iPad Air 2?
I downloaded iTunes to my PC but don't know what to do next.
    Thanks,

    Hi ToymanTLV,
Welcome to the Support Communities!  Congratulations on the purchase of your new iPad Air!  What files are you trying to copy to your iPad? Music? Contacts? Calendars? Or documents like Word, Excel, etc.?
Take a look at the "Getting Started" section of the iPad User Guide below.  Using iCloud and the new iCloud Drive may be the best way to get your documents and information from your PC to your iPad.  I've highlighted the key information below for you.  Click on the link for more details.

    iCloud
iCloud offers free mail, contacts, calendar, and other features that you can set up simply by signing in to iCloud with your Apple ID, then making sure that the features you want to use are turned on.
Set up iCloud. Go to Settings > iCloud. Create an Apple ID if needed, or use your existing one.
iCloud stores your photos and videos, documents, music, calendars, contacts, and more. Content stored in iCloud is pushed wirelessly to your other iOS devices and computers signed into iCloud with the same Apple ID.
iCloud is available on devices with iOS 5 or later, on Mac computers with OS X Lion v10.7.5 or later, and on PCs with iCloud for Windows 4.0 (Windows 7 or Windows 8 is required).
Note: iCloud may not be available in all areas, and iCloud features may vary by area. For more information, go to www.apple.com/icloud.
    iCloud features include:
Music, Movies, TV Shows, Apps, and Books:  Automatically get iTunes purchases on all your devices set up with iCloud, or download previous iTunes music and TV show purchases for free, anytime. With an iTunes Match subscription, all your music, including music you’ve imported from CDs or purchased somewhere other than the iTunes Store, can also be stored in iCloud and played on demand. See iCloud and iTunes Match. Download previous App Store and iBooks Store purchases to iPad for free, anytime.
Photos:  Use iCloud Photo Library beta to store all your photos and videos in iCloud, and access them from any iOS 8 device using the same Apple ID. Use iCloud Photo Sharing to share photos and videos with just the people you choose, and let them add photos, videos, and comments. See iCloud Photo Library beta. See iCloud Photo Sharing.
Family Sharing:  Up to six family members can share their purchases from the iTunes Store, App Store, and iBooks Store. Pay for family purchases with the same credit card and approve kids’ spending right from a parent’s device. Plus, share photos, a family calendar, and more. See Family Sharing.
iCloud Drive:  Safely store your presentations, spreadsheets, PDFs, images, and other documents in iCloud, and access them from your iPad, iPhone, iPod touch, Mac, or PC. See About iCloud Drive.
Documents in the Cloud:  For iCloud-enabled apps, keep documents and app data up to date across all your devices set up with iCloud.
Mail, Contacts, Calendars:  Keep your mail, contacts, calendars, notes, and reminders up to date across all your devices.
Safari Tabs:  See the tabs you have open on your other iOS devices and OS X computers. See Browse the web.
Backup:  Back up iPad to iCloud automatically when connected to power and Wi-Fi. See Back up iPad.
Find My iPad:  Locate your iPad on a map, display a message, play a sound, lock the screen, temporarily suspend or permanently remove your credit and debit cards in Passbook & Apple Pay settings used for Apple Pay, or remotely wipe your iPad data. Find My iPad includes Activation Lock, which requires your Apple ID and password in order to turn off Find My iPad or erase your device. Your Apple ID and password are also required before anyone can reactivate your iPad. See Find My iPad.
Find My Friends:  Keep track of your family and friends (when connected to a Wi-Fi or cellular network) using the Find My Friends app. Download the free app from the App Store.
iCloud Keychain:  Keep your saved passwords and credit card information up to date on your devices. See iCloud Keychain.
You must have an iCloud account and be signed into iCloud to use Apple Pay. See Apple Pay.
With iCloud, you get a free email account and 5 GB of storage for your mail, documents, photos, and backups. Your purchased music, apps, TV shows, and books, as well as your photo streams, don’t count against your available space.
Upgrade your iCloud storage. Go to Settings > iCloud > Storage, then tap Change Storage Plan. For information about upgrading your iCloud storage, see iCloud Help.
View and download previous purchases, or get purchases shared by your family.
iTunes Store: You can access your purchased songs and videos in the Music and Videos apps. Or, in the iTunes Store, tap Purchased .
App Store: Go to the App Store, then tap Purchased .
iBooks Store: Go to iBooks, tap Store, then tap Purchased .
Turn on Automatic Downloads for music, apps, or books. Go to Settings > iTunes & App Store.

  • How to transfer files from windows to ipad

I have a huge grouping of Old Time Radio shows in a folder on my Windows XP Pro SP3 3 desktop computer.
I want to copy them to my iPad mini, or to my 5th gen. iPod Touch.
I know I can copy them on a thumb drive (the Windows computer does not "see" my iPad) to my MacBook Pro, which does see the iPad, but how do I make a file on the iPad to recieve the fiies?
While I do have an NAS unit, the iPad is not hooked into it, and Ihave no interest in getting an iCloud account.

  • How to transfer music from laptop to ipad

I have music in my laptop in itune folder. How do I transfer music from itune in laptop to itune in ipad2.

If you have iTunes installed on the computer, you have to make sure it is the current version.
Just run iTunes and go to "File > Check for Update" to check whether your iTunes is the latest one. Then, use USB cable to connect iPad with computer as well.
After iTunes recognize your iTunes, just hit "iPad" tab under the "DEVICE" section of the iTunes sidebar. On the right screen, you can see a new window to list you all categories of iPad. Just hit "Music" tab. Check the box next to "Sync Music" and click the circle next to "Entire music library" or "Selected playlists, artists and genres." Click the boxes next to specific artists, playlists and genres if you want to sync specific music to your iPad.
Now, you may press the "Apply" button in the bottom-right corner of the main iTunes screen, followed by "Sync" in the same area to transfer the music to your iPad.

Some of the information below has subsequently appeared in a document by turingtest2: Recovering your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device - https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3991
Your i-device was not designed for unique storage of your media. It is not a backup device and media transfer was designed for you maintaining a master copy of your media on a computer which is itself properly backed up against loss. Syncing is one way, computer to device, updating the device content to the content on the computer, not updating or restoring content on a computer. The exception is iTunes Store purchased content.
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iOS device or iPod to a computer - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1848 - only media purchased from iTunes Store
For transferring other items from an i-device to a computer you will have to use third party commercial software. Examples (check the web for others; this is not an exhaustive listing, nor do I have any idea if they are any good):

Syncing to a "New" Computer or replacing a "crashed" Hard Drive - https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3141 - dates from 2008 and some outdated information now.

  • How to transfer files from iBook to reader?

How to transfer files from iBook to reader

The first step is to export the PDF from iBooks to your computer (this cannot be one on your iPad or iPhone). Connect your iPad or iPhone to your syncing computer. Open iTunes. Select your device (how to do this depends on which version of iTunes you are running). Click on the Books tab at the top. In the current version of iTunes 11, I had to choose to view by PDFs. Then I could drag a PDF from the iTunes window to my Desktop.
Then follow the instructions in this document to import the PDF(s) into Adobe Reader:
    http://forums.adobe.com/docs/DOC-2532
Not so easy, I'm afraid. Easier if you just keep copies of your PDFs on your computer.

how to transfer files from 1 ipad to another

Depends what you are trying to transfer.
Are you just trying to add content such as apps, music and photos?
Or are these files that were created by such apps as pages and numbers?
You can download content that was purchased in the itunes or app store by signing into same account.
You can dowload any documents saved to icloud by signing into the same account.
You can create a backup of the first ipad and restore the second from that backup.
You can import or sync the content from the first ipad into itunes and then manually sync to the second.
But this all depends on what you are actually trying to do.
