  • Full page prints from iPhone but not from iPad using photo app with AirPrint ?

Full page prints from iPhone but not from iPad using photo app with AirPrint ? iPad only prints 4x6 on full size paper. It's an HP 8600.

I also have this problem printing photos from an iPad to an Epson WF-2540 printer. It prints only 4x6 and without border (so print starts at extreme top left corner of paper). Borderless printing is not selected on printer. Printing a square photo just crops to 4x6 size.

  • Any way to select which page printed with AirPrint ?

Got an HP 6250 with AirPrint which set up very easily and works well with my iPad 2.  But how can you get it to print just 1 page or a selected portion of a page. It doesn't seem to offer those options. It prints the whole article wasting paper and ink when I just want a selected page or paragraph.
    Thanks, Dave

  • Printing iCal calendars with a gutter

Is this possible? Am I dense? All I want to do is print my weekly view calendar with a gutter for 3 hole punching. The default printing prints all the way to the very edge of the sheet with no apparent way to edit it. Looks really gross printed that way.
    Any ideas or work-arounds?

This can't be created in iCal, but it CAN be created it in another program and then used in iCal.
    Here's how
    1) Quit iCal.
    2) In Safari (or Pages, or some other Apple app) choose File:Print:Paper Size.
    3) Go to Manage Custom Sizes
    4) Click on the Plus symbol to create a custom size. It should default to 8.5 x 11
    5) Give this a name by double clicking on "Untitled" (eg "Calendar")
    6) Set the left margin to .5 or 1.0 or 1.25 (or whatever you want).
    7) Click OK
    8) Open iCal
    9) Select File:Print
10 Under "Paper;" select "Calendar", or whatever you named your new paper size
    11) Carry on
    Hope this helps.

  • Will a CP1518ni color laser printer work with airprint with my iPad?

will a CP1518ni color laser printer work with airprint with my iPad?

    Hi Ijergen,
Yes you can use AirPrint as long as the printer is on the same network as the iPad.
You can also try Google cloud, I will be giving you links below on how to go about it.

    Thanks!

    Thanks!
When I installed the software I had an issue with the compatiblity between my printer and mountain lion. I installed a mountain lion's update related to HP Printers but it wasn't succesful. At any rate I set up the printer and and wireless print works only once... after this I used the USB connection.
I have no idea what happens and it's so weird because HP webpage says thar 3525 is compatible with AirPrint...
    Thanks for your help!

  • Printed a shared calendar with tasks

I need to print my boss's daily calendar with the tasks listed on the right side, but although both his calendar are tasks are shared with me and I can view them, it won't let me print the calendar with the tasks from my outlook.  From other
discussions I saw people recommending the Calendar Printing Assistant for Outlook, but it looks like that only works in Outlook 2007 and it won't work on my Outlook 2013.
Is there any solution for this besides adding his mailbox to my computer?

    Hi
As per the information and details provided by you, to print a shared calendar with tasks, please follow these steps: -
In Outlook 2013, you need to ensure the print settings are correct first.
    Go to the
Calendar; enter Day view by clicking the Day button above the Calendar.
    File tab >
Print. In the list at the right ensure Daily Style is chosen under
Settings. Then click the Print Options button just above the
Settings list. In the Print Dialog box that opens, right in the middle is a button that says
    Page Setup; select that.
Print setup dialog box that opens, in the
Format tab, find the Options block on the lower left. In that block, the second item down is labeled
Tasks. From the drop-down menu to the right of Tasks, choose
    To-Do list.
In that same dialog box you probably want to clear the checkmark next
“include: Notes area (blank)” to make more room for tasks.
    Now click
OK first and then Print on the next screen. That’s it. The setting should be saved.
I hope this information will be helpful for you.
    Thanks and regards

  • HT4356 What about the iPad notes. Can we print them with Airprint?

They say we can use Airprint with Safari, Pages, Mail, etc. But no mention of Notes. Not mentionning we can't either. Can we? My dad had a Canon printer compatible with Airprint. Both the updates has been made on the iPad and Canon software. When trying to print it says they can't find the Airprint. "Aucune imprimante Airprint détectée", to use the exact same word.
    Thanks!

If he has a Canon printer that is compatible with Airprint, and he has upgraded the printer Firmware, you should be able to print.  In fact, you should be able to print emails, web pages, notes, AND photos through Airprint.  The Canon app should add more capability when printing photos (e.g., choice of paper types, paper sizes, image sizes, etc) that Airprint does not offer, so the Canon app is good to have for photos.
Make sure his iPad is connected to the same wifi network as the printer.
Try turning the printer off then on again.  This will reset it.
What kind of a router is he using?  Airprint needs Bonjour to talk to the router.  There may be a firmware upgrade for that too.

  • Is it possible to print larger than 4x6 from ipad with airprint?

Is it possible to print photos lrger than 4x6 from ipad with airprint?

    Suzie-
It apparently depends on both the Photos program and which printer you have.  My HP D110 only does 4X6, regardless of the paper size.  Others can sense the paper size and adjust automatically.
I suggest you download the free iPad App, HP iPrint Photo.  If it works with your printer, it has the capability of specifying paper size, and lets you change image size and orientation using two fingers.  Some of the other printing Apps like Print n Share can do that, but are not free.

  • Editing printing-settings with AirPrint

Hello. Just bought myself an Epson Stylus SX445W from the Apple Store, AirPrint compatible.
On my computer I can edit the printing-settings, but they only affect printing from the computer itself (for example if I edit settings to print out in black and white, the computer will, while the iPad won't).
Reason I want settings changed is because printing from the iPad is extremely slow, while printing from the computer or other devices is fast.
So, is there any way to edit the printing settings from the iPad?

And in other words, replacing my Epson-printer with a HP-printer will solve my problem?
    I'd say it's a definite maybe.
Seriously, it will likely depend on the HP printer you choose.  Some people have reported issues with the "all in one" printers that print documents and photos.  Sometimes these pull photo paper when printing an email, for example.  I use an HP LaserJet CP1525, that is compatible with AirPrint.  It only prints on regular paper, not photo paper, so I don't have an issue with paper choice.  Printing emails and web pages uses the full 8.5 x 11 inch size.  If I choose to print photos (on regular paper) Airprint prints them 4 x 6 inch and does not give me an option to change it.  However, if I print with the HP app, I can change size and paper type.  The app knows when you are printing a document, for example, and goes to the settings you used last.
Overall, I think the HP printers give you more flexibility than the other Airprint printers available from Canon or Epson.  The HP app is more sophisticated than the Epson or Canon apps too.

  • HT4356 I am looking to carry a mono laser printer onboard my van to print invoices from my iPad. Is this possible with AirPrint, I have no WiFi modem or computer onboard. Kind Regards Rob

I am looking to carry a mono laser printer onboard my van to print invoices from my iPad. Is this possible with AirPrint, I have no WiFi modem or computer onboard. Kind Regards Rob

Only if you have an airprint printer that supports ad hoc network connections (ad hoc connections are one wifi device connecting over the air directly with another).
If you search for "airprint ad hoc" you'll get plenty of hits - several printers to choose from it looks like.

ok no problem! all i did was 1) set up the mobile hotspot on my phone. 2)  turn it and wifi on on the phone. 3)  connect the laptop/desktop to the hotspot network. 4) insert setup disk for the printer and begin setup. 5) complete the setup "using a usb cord to temporarilly connect the computer and printer" 6) unplug usb cable and finish set up on the laptop/desktop. 7) give it a few minutes to show up on the AirPrint menu on the phone. 8) that should be it. I unplugged the printer and plugged it back in, made sure the laptop was totally turned off AND disconnected from the network, and did everything I could to try and make it not work. The printer I have is a Canon MG3122, it doesn't have a fancy screen or even a way to input a password or anything like that, so it just strores a default network that it will connect to. in order to change networks i would have to complete setup multiple times. Since I only plan to use it with AirPrint for my mobile business....the one network is just fine! Hope this helps!

  • I have an epson workforce 600 which is not listed as airprint enabled. has anyone made this printer work with airprint?

i have an epson workforce 600; it is not listed as one of the printers that is airprint enabled.
has anyone made it work with airprint? if so, please tell me how.
    thanks.

The Workforce 600 is not AirPrint-compatible. Epson has an app that enables printing to some of their other wireless printers. Search the iTunes Store or look to the support resources for your model of printer. Third-party printing apps such as PrintCentral are also available. All such apps have limitations, so check them out thoroughly before you pay for any such app.
You could also route the printing through your computer. If you have a Mac, Printopia would be worth a look. Fingerprint is another option that is available for both Mac OS X and Windows system. You could also consider an AirPrint-capable print server. Lantronix makes a couple of models, including one that supports a USB printer:

Sounds like you may be trying to access icloud.com using Safari on your device.  You have to access icloud.com from a computer, not an iOS device.

  • I can't get my HP laserjet p1102w to work with airprint

    Hi!
So it seem's that I can't get my HP laserjet p1102w to work with airprint. I got it to send out it's own Wi-Fi signal, and i get in touch with that signal on my iPad 3. But when I wan't to print something out from Pages, then it says that it can't find any airprinters.
I tried to update the firmware several times, but it still doesn't work. Any suggestions to what I can do?

    Hey T-racer,
As a work-around you can also use the HP eprint method which is available with your printer. The application (HP Home & Biz) is available for free in the apple catalogue.
You can find more info on it here:
    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c03128518&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en &product=4110396&tmp_track_link=ot_search
It shares many of the same capabilities of airprint but is a different program/feature.
If you have any questions, just ask!
    I work with HP.
