If the unit has NEVER been jailbroke, first try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless... Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. It could take well over an hour! Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow the on-screen directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod. As before, say "yes." Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time. If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device. Corrective action is simple - choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here. You WILL lose all of your data (game scores, etc,) but, for the most part, you can redownload apps and music without being charged again. Also, if you have IOS-7, read this.

Hi The next thing to do is to Restore back to Factory Settings this will get rid of any bugs . After Restore use same Apple ID /Password then you should get all your Apps & data back If you still have this problem make an Appointment at Apple Store . Cheers Brian

To elaborate a little more Nick, that is a feature designed to make it easier to type when holding the iPad with both hands.
If you tap the icon in the lower right of the keyboard, you will see the option to Merge the keyboard back together. If you hold the icon and drag your finger up and down, you will move the keyboard.

The primary way a wifi node gets into any location database (Google's, Skyhook's, Apple's) is by wardriving. Neither Google nor Apple allow user submissions to their location based services, but you still can submit an entry to SkyHook - http://www.skyhookwireless.com/howitworks/submit_ap.php. Since reportedly both Google and Apple still buy content from Skyhook, you could put your info in there and see if that helps speed up the migration of the info into Apple's own database services.

If the Exif metadata is intact, then iPhoto gets the date from there. If it's not, then iPhoto gets the file date.
So, if iPhoto is showing you the date of import there is no Exif intact.

Which iPad do you have? Your location may not be entirely accurate if you have a WiFi only iPad as there is no GPS chip. It relies on a database of WiFi hotspots in Apple's database.
If you want to find the distance, enter your address as the starting point and your friend as the end point. you don't have to use your current location at all.

The battery level was 51%. Why is this happening?

Well, by extension they might :-) But Diavonex is right, the whole iPad case generally heats up, especially when charging or doing something CPU intensive like playing 3D games.
