HT4914 Can I buy more than 25,000 song space in iTunes Match?

Can I buy more than 25,000 song space in iTunes Match? I am bumping up to the linit and I need  more space.

How can I select which of my songs are mirrored to the cloud?
By deleting the extra ones from your iTunes library.
However, you might want to shop around a bit.
iTunes Match costs $24.99 a year and has a limit of 25,000 non-purchased songs.
Amazon Cloud Player Premium costs $24.99 a year and has a limit of 250,000 non-purchased songs.

  • What is the best way to deal with iTunes libraries that have more than 25,000 songs and iTunes match?

    Hello,
My library approaches the 25,000 songs limit from iTunes match mainly because I have a lot of custom mixes with loads of different tracks.
On those songs there are some that I would like iTunes match to ignore. But I still want to keep them in my iTunes library so i can sync them with my ipod and i can keep my metadata tracking. What would be a sensible way to do that?
Duplicate the current iTunes library, and create 2 iTunes libraries children on the same PC, one sync-ed with match and the other not? Would that work with the same apple id // ipod? I just have no clue and apple support is not helping.
thanks in advance for your thoughts

  • HT4914 I have about 70,000 songs, almost all of them are MP3s burned from CDs. Is there a way to increase the 25,000 song limit in iTunes Match, by paying more, for example?

Right now the limit is what it is, 25,000 tracks. Tracks purchased from the iTunes Store do not count against that number. Whether Apple has any plans to increase that limit none of us here, who are all just fellow users, will know. We'll have to wait and see.

  • How can I buy more than 2 iPhones?

I want to use 14 of these phones in my company (outside of the US) but I can't find any way to buy more than 2 of them. Help please?

I basically did what diesel vdub suggested, spammed order after order.
I managed to buy 6 phones with one credit card before they started sending cancellations due to the fact that too many phones were being ordered from the same AppleID/Credit Card. So we created a couple more IDs and used other credit cards. Managed to buy 4 with a second one and 4 with a third one.
So no, you can't place 7 orders just like that, but the system won't just block future orders in the spot.
    Thanks for the answers.

  • I have 60,000 songs. No iTunes Match for me?

A lot of that is doubles, and some files that I wouldn't want to go into Match anyway. But even if I cleaned up the library, I'm sure it would be more than the 25k song limit. Can I not use iTunes Match?

You can, and many of us do, but you need to do some work first.
First job, which is optional but advised, is to sort through your library and get rid of duplicates and unwanted tracks.
Then, decide which tracks you want in the cloud, and set up a library with just those tracks on. There are many ways of doing that, but I did it when sorting out my library, using home sharing to import them onto a different computer. Then you rn match on that library.
What you do with your main library is u to you. Some people are keeping their main library intact whilst having th paired down library for match. The issue I see with this is that you have to effectively try to keep elements of the two libraries synced.
What I have ended up doing is having my main library on match, containing about 27,500 tracks ( including iTunes purchases), and a separate second library containing the rest, which is not matched, but can be listened to using home sharing.
If that all sounds like too much effort then you are probably correct, and at the momen I'd recommend not using match.
One thing to remember is that iTunes purchases are not included in the 25,000 limit so if you have purchased from iTunes you can go over that amount.

  • Can i have more than one phone number on my itunes account?

My son and I use the same apple ID. He has a separate phone number to me and wants to use imessage on his ipad.
How can I set up my account to use more than one mobile number?

He would have to use a separate ID for iMessage in order to do this.  You can still share the same ID for iTunes; it doesn't have to be the same as the ID used for iMessage.  To do this, have him go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive, tap the ID, sign out, then sign back in with a different ID.

  • Can you have more than three ipods registered to a itunes account?

Everyone in our family has a ipod video. so we have a total of 5 in the house. The question I am wondering about is.. can more than 3 ipods be registered to an itunes account? and if not..can we make a new account for the other two? when my son is at college would he be able to log on to the itunes or would he only be able to do it when he came home to visit? Since we would be loading the songs and videos on this end?
Thanks.. we are all new to this..

can more than 3 ipods be registered to an itunes account?
You don't register iPods to an iTunes account.
You simply have an iTunes account at the iTunes store.
You can use this on any computer in the world with internet access. You can use this one iTunes account to purchase and play music on up to 5 computers at a time.
when my son is at college would he be able to log on to the itunes
He can use iTunes whenever he wants.
You don't need to log on to run iTunes.

  • HT4914 Can i upload and have access to home videos in iTunes Match?

Hello. I have been uploading all my music to iTunes Match and using iCloud, only to discover (apparently) that all of this does not include non-purchased (home) videos. I want to be able to put them in the cloud and stream on demand from multiple devices. Am I missing something here?

Misread your first post, I didn't notice the non-purchased part.
The only way to get videos into the Videos app on iOS devices is by buying/downloading them directly in the iTunes store app on it or by syncing them from a computer's iTunes. So as well as needing a cloud service to store them, you will need an app that can connect to that service and be able to play whatever format your videos are in You've tried searching for something such as 'cloud video stream' in your country's store to see if that finds anything ?

  • HT202213 how can i remove multiple copies of the same songs in Itunes? When transferring from a drive to an other I got my library copied 3 times creating more than 12 000 songs!!!

    See below

Generally setting a common Album title and Album Artist will fix things.
For compilations that aren't, select all tracks, Get Info, and on the option tab set Part of a Compilation to No. If it already says No tick the box alongside, then click OK.
For deeper problems see Grouping tracks into albums.
