HT4914 I-Match appears to be hung up at step 2 of the setup process.

It's reports that most of of my songs are checked, but nothing seems to be happening past that point.

Looks like I was just too impatient. After a couple of hours it started moving forward again.

  • HT204406 My iTunes Match will not complete Step 3 of the uploading process. Many songs are "waiting"

My iTunes Match will not complete Step 3 of the uploading process. I have over 700 "items" designated as "waiting." I have restarted multiple times but it stalls at this point.

I've been reading all these comments about how match is not working and people are having problems uploading all their songs.  My problem is more basic than that.  When I open iTunes I immediately get the spinning color disc of death and I can't do anything at all.  I can't go to the store.  I can't listen to a song. I can't do anything.  I just tried to sync my iPod.  I pugged it into my computer, iTunes started up, looked like it was going to sync, then the spinning disc again.  So forget match; I can't do anything, nada, nothing.   I even tried to send my iTunes application to trash, but I got a message saying I couldn't do that because it was needed for OS X.  Talk about a do loop, this is unbelievable.
Is anyone else having the problem I am having?

  • HT204406 I turned on iTunes Match 8 days ago, but all it does it restart the syncing process again half way through - any ideas?

So, 8 days ago we decided to subscribe to iTunes Match.  It's been trying to sync ever since (i.e. it gets half way through step 2 and then restarts the whole process again).  Any idea as to why it's doing this?  Any ideas as to what we can do to fix this?

sounds like you may just want to re-match your library.
easiest way to do so if it never finished it to turn iTunes match off, then back on (and add this computer). that will analyze your library once more and upload or match any songs that need to be.
Store > Turn off iTunes Match
    then
Store > Turn on iTunes Match

  • How do I get my bookmarks to appear on my mobile phone once I've completed the sync process?

I have sync-ed my mobile phone with my desktop Firefox, and my bookmarks aren't showing up in the bookmark drop down list. I rebooted my phone, and they are still not appearing. What can I do to get my bookmarks to appear?

    Nevermind, they suddenly appeared.

  • Why is the iTunes Match setup process causing iTunes (and my machine) to freeze?

I purchased iTunes Match several days ago, and it continues to freeze iTunes, subsequently locking up my machine. It keeps getting stuck on step 1 of the setup process (analyzing my library); I have left it overnight several times with no luck.
At this point, I really just want my $25 back, but has anyone else encountered this problem? Is there a workaround?

it's been confirmed elsewhere that: once again, itunes IS in fact the problem.
many kudos to Apple, my hat tips to their engineers for being such brilliant programmers. and i'd also like to take this opportunity to thank them for the numerous other times i've had problems with Apple-written software on my windows-based pc's....
    Go Apple, yeah !!

  • HT4913 When I go to Settings- Music and slide ITunes Match to Off, it still appears as On under ITunes and App Stores in the Settings menu. Once I turn this off, on returning to the Music menu under Settings, ITunes Match still shows as on. What to do?

When I go to Settings->Music and slide ITunes Match to Off, it still appears as On under ITunes and App Stores in the Settings menu. Once I turn this off, on returning to the Music menu under Settings, ITunes Match still shows as on. What to do?

I (though am not sure what happened) solved the problem. Under show all I had both videos and music selected as on. I turned off videos and ..hey presto..the slider reappeared.

  • Sql loader problem - thread appears to be hung

Sorry to ask such a strang question but I am not sure which direction to go with this one. Hoping someone might have an idea.
I am running oracle 10g on windows. I have 3 servers all patched at the same levels. All 3 servers run a purchased utility called dbutility which copies data from a dms database to an oracle database using oracle's sql*loader. On one server the dbutility hangs when the dbutility program tries to start sql*loader. I must close the dos window to end the job - ctl c does not work.
If I let the job sit long enought, it eventually gets the message:"BULK LOADER thread appears to be hung: main thread waiting".
I called the company which supports the dbutility program and they think it is a windows or oracle problem.
I can get the dbutility to work if I start the dbutility in verbose (trace) mode. For some reason slowing the dbutility down before starting the sql*load program fixes the problem.
Has anyone ever had issues starting sql*loader?
Does anyone have any ideas what might be causing this problem?
Do you think reinstalling the sql*loader might help?
    Thank you!
    Confused:)

Try to built a test case on your own.
Make a little test creating an sql*loader ctl and try to load the file on a test table.
If that work you should ask againg with your tool support.
    load data
    infile 'YOUR_FILE_HERE'
    badfile 'BAD_FILE'
    append
    into table test_ldr
fields terminated by "," optionally enclosed by '"'
    (caracter1,caracter2,caracter3,caracter4,caracter5)
caraterN = your table column name.
    sqlldr.exe userid=username/password@db rows=1000 control=conrtol.ctl log=log.log errors=200 direct=y

  • LOM appears to be hung

I ran "route -fn" and pretty much hung my system. I logged in to LOM and executed a "reset". Now it appears to be hung in LOM.
    What can I do next?
    Thanks,
    Chris

oh yeah, sorry about that . . .
    I'm on a Solaris Sun Fire E2900
so it looks like the system is up now. It just stopped for several minutes( 10 or so) while in LOM 'reset'. I think all is okay. I'll be back if that's not the case. I'm not sure what the 'route -fn' did. BTW, I'm not a true sysadm, but I do adm this system. Sort of funny, huh?
    Thanks,

  • ITunes Match Appears To Have 'Broken' A Song

I haven't seen anything like this particular issue in the iTunes Match–Discussions I scanned, so here goes...
Recently I have been playing with iTunes Match, and it's been working quite well.  The best way I learn is to actively engage with something, so I proceeded to replace my songs with low bit rates with higher bit rate versions from iTunes Match.
So, 6000 songs–give or take–over a two day period the process finished, and I am very satisfied with the results.
Recently I was listening to one of the 'matched' songs I downloaded, Stevie Nicks' "Doing The Best I Can (Escape From Berlin)" from her The Other Side Of The Mirror album, when I noticed breaks in the song.
I was at the gym at the time, so I assumed that the problem was with my headphones, so I waited till I got home to listen to the track on my computer (the song, before iTunes Match, was intact).
When I got home I played the song, and noticed breaks at 2:02, 3.28, and 4.30 (when I write 'breaks" I mean there's a second or so of empty space from one part of the song and the next).
This is really weird, because I know for a fact that the version I had orignally–before using iTunes Match–was pristine, which leads me to believe that the song residing on iTunes Match server(s) is broken.
I have a copy of this album on CD, so I am going to do an experiment that will prove it definitively:  I am going to delete the version I downloaded from iTunes Match and replaced it with a version from the CD.  Play it, to confirm that it's intact, then download it again from iTunes Match.
If the CD version is intact, it means there was  iTunes Match version is broken; which means i'll followup with Apple because I'd hate to think that anymore of my songs had this problem (though as I said, I have not seen this with any other songs).

    Hi,
It would seem that the track that Apple is providing is corrupt. Not a lot you can do other that report problem to Apple. It will be easy for you to restore the original from the CD to play on your computer or sync manually to iOS devices (match needs to be off to transfer track).

  • HT4914 if you use iTunes match in order to create space and remove music from your hard drive, does that happen automatically when you subscribe and upload your music or is there another step to remove the music from your hard drive once you've uploaded t

if you use iTunes match in order to create space and remove music from your hard drive, does that happen automatically when you subscribe and upload your music or is there another step to remove the music from your hard drive once you've uploaded to iTunes match?

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
iTunes match won't automatically remove content from your computer, if you want to do that you will need to do it manually yourself.

  • HT4914 iTunes Matching Songs WITHOUT Local Files

So my music collection is nearly 12,000 songs. I built it for nearly 10 years, and cherish it. Sadly, however, the external hard drive I stored all my music on is dead, and the backup files are corrupted. (This is what happens when you go back to Windows ) So now I'm left with options of expense: A) I can hire a data recovery service (my first quote was $1,200- completely out of my price range), B) Start allllllll over again, or (hopefully) C) sign up for iTunes Match and match all of the music that could at least be found in the iTunes catalogue.
Here's my question: If I sign up for iTunes Match, and drop the (totally reasonable) $25, will iTunes scan my Library as it is, or does it require that I have the local files? If it needs the local files, then the $25 will be for little more than the option of giving me cloud access to the few files I have left. However, if it scans my library (which I'm generally very anal about organizing) and gives me even HALF of my music back, then it's worth its weight in gold.
Too Long, Didn't Read: does iTunes Match scan local files, or does it just look at the library that is still in my iTunes?
    Please help!

Well, the computer was on all day while I was at work, but I don't think anyone would have come in the house and deleted my music files from iTunes. Anyway, I think the best approach would be to add the entire media folder back into iTunes. I tried it with one song and it initially showed a duplicate, but then iTunes match did an update and removed the duplicate song. I'll do that this evening just before I'm done using the Mac and let the process happen overnight.

  • HT4914 How long does it take for Match to install itself? Mine seems to be stuck @ the end of step 1.

How long does it take for Match to install itself? Mine seems to be stuck @ the end of step 1.

Measuring a 1% discharge is likely not very helpful.
Why not see how long your battery lasts on a full charge?

  • HT4914 Itunes match not updating play list?

I've been using itunes match for about a month and noticed something annoying.
When I add a song to a certain play list that play list dissappears from itunes match on my phone.
I restarted my phone...re-synced imatch thru itunes and nothing..
Anybody else have this problem or know how to fix?
    Thanks

    Dear Jim
thank you so much. Thank you for your quick reply, sorry I did not respond sooner, but  I wanted to make sure it worked before replying, hence I had to wait for iTunes Match to do its thing.
You are are a genius Jim, so a big thank you.
So in a nutshell for all, Jim's solution works for those who have gone over their 25,000 limit by mistake, and are unable to update match, you can with Jim's solution, delete stuff in the iTunes Match cloud and in effect have your original iTunes Match library as you want it.
    Thank you Jim

hi i have ipod nano 4g i know that it has nike+ipod but i can't enable it. it doesn't  even appear on screen can U tell me what is the reason?

That sounds like an idea.I've had trouble with Verizon a lot .I I switch ed back to a non andriod phone cause of the expense it took 3 months and at least that many hours of phone calls &store visits to straight in it out...there's been many times things are blocked and a month later its back on the bill,u call and are told they can't do anything ...not there problem, can't b fixed from there end,I asked to talk to a sup. At was told I couldn't then she said I'd b told the same thing I insisted...I was on hold for about 20 minutes I hung up tried to call back they would not answer, I called my daughter had her call they answered when she told them they tried to blow her off too, so she went down to a store and made a complaint.. I don't have a store in our town, the customer should not have Togo through all that trouble some of this is down right criminal... I'm going through more problems again....they won't Evan discuss it with me unless I pay what's owed and the amount has still got the internet fees they've never taken off.
