HT4914 Once subscribed to Match, does this open up storage availability on my devices?  My music currently takes up about 20gigs on my IOS devices.

If I subscribe to itunes Match, will this open up the 20gigs of music currently taking up storage space on my IOS devices?

Hi
Thanks for your response.
Buying a bigger iphone was just too obvious an answer.
We already have the backup to mac in place it just means that to view pics that you need to turn on the big machine.
I would rather have them available to view via a cloud service of some kind.
Anyone have any experiences to add?
Regards
Chris

  • HT4914 once subscribed, does the main computer with library always need to be on in order for other devices to work?

I am trying to figure out if iMatch is right for my family.  We have 2 iPhones, 2 iPads, an iPod Touch, and a few PCs.  One PC has our music library on it in iTunes.  We want to all share from the library with our own separate devices.  If we subscribe to iMatch, does everyone need to use the same ID to access the library? Does the main PC with library need to remain on constantly for other devices to gain access? And my daughter has the iPod and we would like to control the content she is able to access, is this possible with iMatch?  Thanks

You will all need to use the same id that you subscribe to iTunes Match with (that will need to be the account that is signed into on the devices/computers that you want to access the music from), but your computer doesn't need to remain on - when you subscribe your library is uploaded from that computer to the cloud, so it only needs to be 'on' then, when it's finished uploading it will be accessible from the cloud on your devices/computers via your internet connection.

  • Why does this message appear: The item you've requested is not currently available in the U.S. store. When I open iTunes?

For no discernible reason when I opened iTunes and selected the iTunes Store, this message appeared:
The item you've requested is not currently available in the U.S. store.
rebooted computer. Flushed iTunes cache. I see lots of references to this in older posts (2012 and earlier) but nothing recent.

There are several posts about this in the last 15 minutes
    Look around.
Be patient, itunes will correct their issue.

  • What does this open directory error mean?

I am seeing this error in my opendirectory log file and was wondering what it means since I don't use a network to get user information. I am the only one using this mac so I am curious about this and how do I fix it?
Module: SystemCache - Misconfiguration detected - Failed to insert key '<T>CN=Apple Root CA,OU=Apple Certification Authority,O=Apple Inc.,C=US<S>CN=com.apple.idms.appleid.prd.{really long number here}' for entry '0x7fd18ba00e60' into hash 'X.509DN' as 'non-authoritative'.
I know that the number that was listed was the certificate number for my gmail account. I have not had any trouble getting my emails or anything.
    Thanks

The message you quote is part of the "template walkback" in the compiler message. A program might create many instances of a template, including creating them indirectly as part of creating an instance of some other template. An error or warning message about a template is hard to understand unless you know how it came about. So when a compiler emits a warning or error message related to a template instance, it follows the message with "Where" messages showing the sequence of template instances that led to the error. The "Where" line by itself doesn't tell you anything. You need to relate it to the warning or error message that comes before.
The C++ User's Guide that comes with the compiler has chapters on templates that explains this topic in more detail. Assuming the compiler is installed in /opt/SUNWspro, point your web browser to file:/opt/SUNWspro/docs/index.html and look for the link to the C++ User's Guide.

  • Does this solve 'no row available for editting' problem ?

It's from the HELP of Jdeveloper 9i DS release 2 .....
    The submit JSP page contains:
1.BC4J data tags that specify the same application module connection and view object datasource as the insert JSP page.
2.A BC4J ApplicationModule data tag with the releasemode attribute set to stateless to release the state of the application module once the data is committed.
3.If you decide to create the row before the user submits the data, then your page contains a BC4J Row data tag with the Update action. This action allows the Row data tag to match the datasource row and attributes to update with the HTTP request parameters submitted by the insert JSP page.
    OR
If you decide to create the row after the user submits the data, then your page contains a BC4J Row data tag with the Create action. This action merely creates a new row in the datasource. You then need to add a BC4J SetAttribute data tag to match the datasource row and attributes to update with the HTTP request parameters posted by the insert JSP page.
Assuming that we use the 2ND METHOD of #3, then will we able to get rid of the problem of 'now row available for editting' since the row is created after the user submits the data??

    Thank
    Joan Soon Koh
We have try according to your method.
    Unformately, we failed.
Firstly, in a JSP file the same application module only be defined once.
Secondly, by HTTP request parameters we should make two jsp files,
insert.jsp and edit.jsp transact two requestment respectively and can not use DataTable tag. and we are not sure whether it work well.
Thirdly, because submit.jsp get parameter from submitting.jsp, so when we
run submit.jsp(browse.jsp) firstly, NullPointException Error occurs because submit.jsp can not get Parameter.
If possible please try it, and we greatly appreciate your timely help.

  • Is it necessary to back up music on iCloud, or does it just use storage? I still want my music to sync but does iCloud have to be on to do so...

    Thoughts?

You can't use iCloud back up to back up your music, iCloud isn't involved when you sync your music.

  • I have a restriction passcode that I have no idea what the passcode could be. I know that I need to reset the phone to factory settings but how do go about doing this without losing all of my contacts and other info, etc? (mainly contacts)

At some point, I don't even remember doing this it must have been so long ago, I set a restrictions passcode on my phone. This has become a problem now because I have so many apps that I do not ever use that take up so much space I can no longer take pictures or put more music on the device. I have read that I need to restore to factory settings but that once I do that I cannot restore to a backup because restrictions passcodes are saved in backups. Is there any way for me to restore my phone to factory settings and then get all of my contacts and perhaps as much other data back as I can? I have tried every passcode I can think of for the restrictions passcode (24 times! to the point that ever time I try and fail I cannot try again for an hour. To say the least, this is quite frustrating as is limits what i can do with my phone on a daily basis, whether it be music or taking pictures and videos etc. Can someone please help me solve this problem without losing minimal data? I have already backed the phone up to my computer as well as iCloud. Even the woman at the apple store told me I had to restore it to factory but was too busy to get further into it and I didn't have a genius bar appointment. If all else fails I can make an appointment and go in there. I just thought I may as well ask on here first to see if there was a way I could do it myself. Thanks for reading and hope you can help me!
    -Mike

You can't. Restoring new means everything is erased. If you have a backup made before creating a restriction code, then you can restore that backup, but none later.
Placing your device into recovery (DFU-Device Firmware Upgrade) mode:
Follow these steps to place your iOS device into recovery mode. If your iOS device is already in recovery mode, you can proceed immediately to step 6.
       1. Disconnect the USB cable from the iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, but leave the
other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
       2. Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds
until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.
                  * If you cannot turn off the device using the slider, press and hold the
Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at the same time. When the device turns off,
release the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons.
      3. While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the
device. The device should turn on. Note: If you see the battery charge warning,
let the device charge for at least ten minutes to ensure that the battery has some
charge, and then start with step 2 again.
      4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen.
When this screen appears you can release the Home button:
      5. If necessary, open iTunes. You should see the following "recovery mode" alert:
      6. Use iTunes to restore the device.
If you don't see the "Connect to iTunes" screen, try these steps again. If you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen but the device does not appear in iTunes, see this article and its related links.
    Additional Information:
If you have a problem getting into recovery mode then try: RecBoot: Easy Way to Put iPhone into Recovery Mode.
Note: When using recovery mode, you can only restore the device. All user content on the device will be erased, but if you had previously synced with iTunes on this computer, you can restore from a previous backup. See this article for more information.

  • Compiled executable does not open in maximized window

I have attached a JPG showing the VI Properties that pertain to Window size.  Despite the fact that I have indicated in Run-Time Position - Position:  Maximized.  The compiled executable does not open in a maximized window.
Even stranger, if I take the shortcut for the program and change it's properties (on the target machine) to Open Maximized, it still doesn't open maximized.
I have had this behavior with every compiled executable for a couple of years using versions of LabVIEW 8, 2010, 2011 and currently 2011 SP1.  Both the compiling machine and the target machine are Windows XP.
Is there any explanation for this behavior?  Any way to correct it?

I think Ravens Fan is correct. The aspect ratio appears to take precedence over the window position.
You can set a property manually in your code to maximize the window.

Suddenly my I pad won't charge. A box appears saying 'this accessory is not supported'. What accessory? What does this mean? Why has it suddenly happened? What do I do?

    Hi Eileen,
With iOS 7, the devices have become more sensitive to the type of cable that is being used to charge the device. I have found that with my iPhone 4, once I upgraded to iOS 7, it became a little more sensitive to even my iPad charger. It doesn't always recognize it if I just plug it in, but if I slide it in slowly until I hear the charging tone, then I can push it the rest of the way in, and everything works as it should.
Any chance the cable is bent or frayed? How long have you had the device and cable? If it is under a year old, take it into the Apple Store (device and cable) so you can show them what is happening. They should replace your cable.
    Cheers,
