HT4918 can i move my gallery from mobileme to icloud ?

is it possible to move my mobileme gallery to my new icloud ?

No. iCloud provides a very basic gallery in Photo Journal, but it is populated only from iPhoto for iOS. If you have any photos on your MobileMe Gallery which are not also on your Mac you need to be downloading them now, or you will lose them.
If you want to have an online Gallery you will need to find a third-party alternative. This page examines som options:

  • How can I move my photos from Mac to iCloud?

I want use my iCloud account but I don't know how can I leave my files in iCloud. I use a MacBook pro and I need leave some pictures just in iCloud...and take off from my Mac.

iCloud is not a photo storage service and Photo Stream is a tool to share photos rather than to back them up. For the most part iCloud is about sharing your data between devices. It does have some back up features such as storing your iOS devices back up but most media should be propperly backed up using your computer's back up routines.
In iPhoto you can send a copy of a photo to your Photo Stream by selecting it and clicking the "Share" button. Photo Stream has a 1000 photo limit and will only store them for 30 days. I have not come close to the 1000 photo limit nor have any of my photos been deleted after 30 days, but I still wouldn't use it for a back up.

  • HT4918 Can I move my Gallery to icloud

I am stumped.... Is it possible to move my "Iphoto" and most of all my "gallery" to icloud?  If so, how?
    Thank you.

Firstly, your profile states that you are using OS X 10.6.8, whereas iCloud requires OS X 10.7.2 or better. Unless you upgrade your operating system you will not be able to use iCloud.
Furthermore, iCloud does not offer equivalents to Mobile Me’s iDisk, Gallery or Web Hosting services. You will need to find a third party solution to replace these services. You might consider DropBox, SugarSync, MediaFire or any other service that offers online storage. (not all these alternatives offer all the services previously provided by iDisk)

  • HT2968 From Mobileme to Icloud

How do i move my data from mobileme to Icloud?
As it is now I can access via my old mobileme, and my new icloud account is empty.

Have you tried going to Settings>iCloud and signing into your iCloud account, then turning Contacts, Calendars, Mail, etc. to On, and if prompted, choosing Merge?

  • Can  you move your notes from one iphone to another and how?

Can you move your notes from one iphone to another and how?

You can do this a couple ways.  If you are using MobileMe, notes is one of the options for synchronization and that would be automatic.  Another way is to backup your iphone to iTunes, this backs up essentially all the information on your phone (except for music) and if you restore the other iphone to the image of the original your notes will be transfered.

  • How can I move a calendar from my mac to the i Cloud

how can I move a calendar from my mac to the i Cloud.  It is an existing calendar that I publish for others to view.  It does not update through the cloud since it is not curently on the cloud.  I cannot figure out how to move it on to the cloud.

Your signature says you have Leopard 10.5.8 - is this correct? (If it isn't please amend it). Leopard cannot access iCloud: Lion 10.7.2 is required. Have you actually opened an iCloud account (or migrated from MobileMe)?
if you do have Lion and have joined iCloud then your calendars should have been migrated to iCloud automatically. If this hasn't happened then the method for moving them is described in the first set of numbered instructions on this page - I emphasize that this is only possible on Lion.

I'm trying to migrate from mobileMe to iCloud but I have Snow Leopard (the latest version). It looks like Lion is no longer available because Mountain Lion comes out next month (July). The problem is mobileMe ends on June 30th. How can I migrate?
My iphone and my ipad are compatible but when I try to go to icloud on my phone it says to do it on my computer.
I would like to have my calendar, contacts, etc.. all sync like they do now. Is there a way to upgrade before June 30th? If not, will the gap be an issue or will I just be able to buy mountain lion and sync everything?
    Any suggestions?
    Thank you!

You can buy Lion in the App Store now, but move to iCloud now. If you wait to Mountain Lion, you will only have Mail in Snow Leopard, so you will lose syncing unless you use Lion or Mountain Lion. It's up to you

  • Switching from MobileMe to iCloud, but I can't upgrade to Lion

My iMac is too old to upgrade to Lion, so when I switch from MobileMe to iCloud, I understand that I will no longer be able to use my desktop mail app to retrieve mail, and my calendars and contacts will no longer be in sync with my iPad and iPhone.  So when I switch over to iCoud, is there any work-around for this so that I can continue to use the desktop mail app on my iMac or otherwise get mail on my desktop, and keep my mail, calendars and contacts synced between my iMac, iPad and iPhone?

Unfortunately you simply need Lion or Mountain Lion to access these features on your desktop "mac applications".
However! Mail, contacts, calender & reminders, notes, find my iPhone and iWork documents synced with iCloud from an iOS device can currently (and presumably in the future too) be accesed at icloud.com from any browser with scripting enabled.
I do not have an @me or mobile me account myself. So you'll have to login and see if its already set up for you automatically, I assume there is no reason why it wouldn't be, as the mail server is already with Apple.
Other iOS devices that are associated with your Apple ID by activating "Automatic Downloads" which in laymens terms is Apples' iTunes in the Cloud service can have up to 10 devices (max of 5 computers) that will automatically synce iTunes Purchases including Music, Apps and iBooks to all those devices straight from an internet connection without the need for an iTunes sync. But iTunes in the Cloud will not automatically push TV Shows, Movies or Music Videos.
iCloud will also sync everything mentioned before about icloud.com, including Bookmarks and Photo Stream if selected, to any iOS devices setup with iCloud.
I hope that makes sense, for more information on how to setup a device with iCloud read this
Any more questions dont hesitate to ask :]

  • TS4002 After moving from mobileme to icloud, how do I move my address book?

After moving from mobileme to icloud, how do I move my address book?

    Welcome to the Apple community.
Your address book should have migrated along with your move. If it hasn't go to groups, in "on my mac" group select all the contacts that appear on the right-hand side and drag them to your "iCloud" group.
Once you have done this you can then delete the contacts from your "on my mac" group.

  • Can I move/copy songs from one itunes account to another itunes account on the same iMac?

Can I move/copy songs from one itunes account to another itunes account on the same iMac?

You move the song files to /Users/Shared/ and then into iTunes from the other Mac OS X user account.
If you want to change the iTunes Store account associated with them, you need to redownload them from that account.

You can't. The apps must be purchased separately.

How can I move an iBook from one device to another

Now when I drag and drop the photo no red # shows up and the photo stays in project 1 and also shows up in project 2 apparently creating a duplicate.
The projects are the basic containers.  Each image and all its versions are in exactly one project.
You can use an image in many albums, without duplicating it, also in many products like books, screensaver, slideshows.  But the projects are the basic structure of the library and you cannot have the same image in two different project, without duplicating it by storing the same original image files twice. Use albums to organize your library thematically.
Sorry, I misread your question.   Dragging an image file between projects should move the image and all its versions to the other project.  Aperture should only duplicate the image, if you hold down the alt/options key while dragging and move the image otherwise.
Which Aperture version are you using? And which MacOS X version?  Is your profile signature "MacBook Pro with Retina display, Mac OS 9.2.x, Aperture 3.5.1" still valid?
In Aperture 3.6 on MacOS X 10.10.1 dragging between projects is still working as expected:
