I am stumped.... Is it possible to move my "Iphoto" and most of all my "gallery" to icloud? If so, how?

Firstly, your profile states that you are using OS X 10.6.8, whereas iCloud requires OS X 10.7.2 or better. Unless you upgrade your operating system you will not be able to use iCloud.
Furthermore, iCloud does not offer equivalents to Mobile Me’s iDisk, Gallery or Web Hosting services. You will need to find a third party solution to replace these services. You might consider DropBox, SugarSync, MediaFire or any other service that offers online storage. (not all these alternatives offer all the services previously provided by iDisk)

No. iCloud provides a very basic gallery in Photo Journal, but it is populated only from iPhoto for iOS. If you have any photos on your MobileMe Gallery which are not also on your Mac you need to be downloading them now, or you will lose them.

You can migrate most of it. You can't move the email account or photo stream photos, and you have to recreate any synced notes in the new account.
To migrate a device to another account, start by saving any photo stream photos that you want to keep on the device to the camera roll (by opening the my photo stream album, tapping Edit, tap the photos, tap Share, tap Save to Camera Roll). Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Keep on My iDevice when prompted. (This will only delete the account from this device. Other devices keeping the account will not be effected by this.) Then go to Setting>iCloud and sign in with a separate Apple ID to create the new account. (Note: you can continue to share the same ID for iTunes if you want; it does not need to be the same as the ID used for iCloud.) Turn on your iCloud syncing options and choose Merge to upload the data to the new account. When you turn on Mail, you will be asked to choose your new @icloud.com email address.
If you want to recreate any synced notes in the new account, open them one at a time on your iPhone and email them to the new @icloud address. These emails can be opened on the other device and used to recreate notes in the new account.
If you are migrating other devices to this new account, you will only need to save the photo stream photos to the camera roll, then delete the existing iCloud account, choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (since the data is already in the new account), then sign into the new account ID and turn on your iCloud syncing to sync the data to this device.
When you're done, you can go to icloud.com from your computer, log into each account separately and delete any data that you no longer want from each account.

Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account (which only deletes it from this device, not from iCloud), provide the password to turn off Find My iPhone and choose Keep on My iDevice when prompted. Then sign back in with a different Apple ID to create your new account and choose Merge to upload your data.
Once you are on separate accounts, you can each go to iCloud.com and delete the other person's data from your account.

HT204053 Can't move from MobileMe to iCloud

When I select iCloud in System Preferences, the only option I am given is to move to iCloud. When I select that option, it takes me to a webpage saying mobile me is closed with a link to iCloud.com. When I go there and log in with my MobileMe account, it says your Apple ID must be used to set up iCloud on an iOS or OS X device before you can use iCloud.com. I click on the learn more button and it bring me to the apple webpage about setting up iCloud which brings me full circle to selecting iCloud in System Preferences. Additionally, when I go to the apple ID webpage to manage my account, my .me apple ID is there with all my information still intact. Any suggestions.

After posting this I came up with a possible solution but I am waiting for some additional input before I try this. There is probably a preference file somewhere I can delete and then the iCloud system preference will no longer direct me to move from Mobile Me to iCloud. Then I will get the same screen that is shown on the apple website instructions, which will ask me to log in, or create an Apple ID. Presumably, that will allow me to enter the old Mobile Me information and it will be reactivated as an iCloud account.

Your Mac must be running OS X Lion (10.7.2) and you must have iPhoto 9.2 or higher or Aperture 3.2 or higher in order to receive photo stream photos on your Mac. If you do, go to System Preferences>iCloud, sign into your account and check Photo Stream.
If your Mac doesn't have these, save the photos to your camera roll on your iOS device (unless they are already there) by opening the My Photo Stream album, tapping Edit, tap the photos, tap Share, then tap Save to Camera Roll. Once they are in your camera roll, then can be imported to iPhoto using your USB cable as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083.
Another option is use an app like PhotoSync to transfer them to your Mac using your wifi. The app will also keep track of which photos have already been transferred making it easy to transfer new photos to your Mac at a later point in time.
Also, whenever possible transfer the photos while they are still in your camera roll. The originals in the camera roll will be a higher resolution than the photo stream versions.

After you move the library, you should seriously consider getting a drive to back up your library. All hard drives fail sooner or later and you do not want to lose 20,000 photos....

Yes - to a point. iCloud provides a simple gallery in the form of 'Photo Journal' - uploading of photos from iPhoto to web pages hosted on iCloud, but only from iOS devices and not so far from Macs; and the photos are compressed to a size adequate for online viewing but are not available in full resolution as with Gallery. Apple have provided a sample album here.

If you remeber the password to that Apple ID then follow these steps
1 - Make sure you have an email address that is NOT an Apple ID
2 - Go to AppleID.Apple.com
3 - Where it reads Manage Apple ID - Sign in
Once you are signed in want to make sure the email address you are wanting to use is NOT set up as a "Recovery/Rescue" email for this account.
[To check this - Main page where you see Primary ID - below do you see the email address you want to use listed towards the bottom? Yes - Delete / No - Good ./. If made any adjustments "Save" Next on the left select "Password & Security" - Answer your security questions you set up "if you have any" then scroll towards the bottom and check to see if you see the email address you want to use. Yes - Delete / No - Good] <-> Also you can change your password on this page as well. Any adjustments made "Save"
Once this is done go back to the main page where you should read "Primary ID" and change the email address that is showing to the new email address youo want. "Save" Done
