Disabled
Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.
iOS: Wrong passcode results in red disabled screen
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

For how to restore:
iTunes: Restoring iOS software
To restore from backup see:
iOS: How to back up
If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.
You can redownload most iTunes purchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store -
my iPod nano screen is frozen and will not respond. It shows the song which was playing is paused, but will not resume playing. I have held down all controls, and changed the slide switch, but nothing happens
Hi Goofy Goat,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
It sounds like you have done some great troubleshooting for your iPod nano that is not responding. In this situation, if resetting it did not resolve, I would suggest restoring the iPod back to its factory settings and then sync your content back onto it from iTunes. Please use the following article as a resource for restoring.

Ive downloaded "find my phone " to my iphone and visually see where it is...on screen. Ive icloud and itunes downloaded onto my pc and downloaded FMPhone there as well. When I click onto the icon in itunes on my pc nothing happens other than it giving a description of what it is...but nothing like the screen I get on the phone.
thats where the problem starts.....when I get to login to icloud.com up pops a grey screen and a search engine unit in the middle of the screen that doesnt ever find anything...

A2 during boot reset CMOS goes to run set up F1 but nothing happens???
I am really confused with this computer. I booted it the first time got into the bios no problem. Was not ready to do it. So shut the computer back off. Later I am ready to sit down and do it and I get the a A2 message on the bottom of the screen. I pulled the battery cleared the CMOS put it back together and I get the F1 key to go to set up. It goes to set up in the bios is already in the advanced screen stuck on PCI. No way I can get to the main menu. It shows the RAM fine and the CPU fine on the top, but there is no way I can get back to the main menu in the bios. I unplugged all my SATA cables and it does the same thing but it just hangs at the F1 run set up. I hit F1 and nothing happens. I tried to shut off the numeric lock key and nothing happens. It's like the keyboards locked. The only device I still have looked up is the DVD and the msata hard drive. Of coarse I am going to pull that out next. I have built a lot of computers never with one of the new bios, which is a whole different breed of animal. I searched the Internet and this forum and found the A2 was the hard drives, but that was it.
System:
Z 87 – 45 motherboard
4670 K CPU
, RAM GSKILL RIPSHAX X 1866 24MB
MSATA 128 GB crucial SSD drive.
2 SSD crucial 128 GB drives, wanting to run in raid.
1. SATA Western Digital 500 GB raptor.
Any ideas?? I'm STUCK
CHUCKM500 VTX450-25SAT3-128G Indilinx controller on sata 1 2
M500 CT120M500SSD3 0 128G Marvell controller on MSATA
I still running to the same problem with these unplugged. When I take up the battery cleared the CMOS I can get into the bios but it's not right. I am already in the advanced section of the bios and they can get back to the system status screen.
Thanks so much for your help.

i can not chat or private message, i can post to others. what do i do
Your UserAgent string in Firefox is probably messed up by another program that you installed.
type '''about:config''' in the URL bar and hit Enter
''If you see the warning, you can confirm that you want to access that page.''
Filter = '''general.useragent.'''
Right-click the preferences that are '''bold''', one line at a time, and select '''''Reset'''''.
Then restart Firefox
Once that is fixed, see if chat and private messaging are still giving you a problem. -
Se picture from screen.
This is an old thread. Here is the answer. Open iTunes on computer. Then connect iPhone to computer. Then hold both Home and Power buttons until iTunes recognizes iPhone in Recovery Mode. This usually takes about 20 seconds of holding both buttons. Restore the iPhone Firmware.

Still crash, although it last a bit longer before crashing than before.
Have you tried a full tear down and reinstall as shown in the second box of Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates?

I see the "Connect to iTunes" screen and the device appears in iTunes. Every time I connect to iTunes, iTunes says my device is in recovery mode and has to be recovered so I do so. The same recovery message shows in iTunes after iTunes is complete. I have a iPod touch 64gb. I have no idea what OS is on it now that iTunes has tried to recover it and erased all info.
Restore loop (being prompted to restore again after a restore successfully completes)
Troubleshoot your USB connection. If the issue persists, out-of-date or incorrectly configured third-party security software may be causing this issue. Please follow Troubleshooting security software issues. .

I just got it back from the apple store and they reset it (becuase it kept shutting down and not turning back on).
I put in a new password because i needed to start over from factory settings, but now it doesnt let me log in anymore. (I don't know if this is because it doesnt accpet my password, or I forgot my password in less than 5 minutes, or because when i typed in my new password, i typed it in wrong twice)
Command R doesnt work, all i hear is a sound, but nothing happens. What I don't understand is why it is rejecting a password I am creating.
Perhaps the password you are creating is too short, or has characters that are not allowed, or is not secure enough because it is a word in a dictionary.
FileVault may have standards for what it considers an acceptable password. If the password is part of the 128-bit encryption scheme, it might have to be 16 characters, for example. (Don't know if that is true, but it's a possibility.) Check your documentation for password requirements. -

I tried to reset and the light blinks but nothing happens after that. It won't allow me to move the cursor on the home screen. Any suggestions?
Unplug the device from power and plug it back in.
If it still fails to respond properly, connect it to a computer via microUSB and restore via iTunes. -
