  • How can I sync my current iPod touch to a new computer?

I am in need of some assistance. I had my iPod Touch synced with my computer, but my computer died and I cannot fix it. I bought a new computer and put iTunes on it, but it tells me that if I want to sync my iPod with it, it will have to erase everything I have put on my iPod. I have been adding things for the past 3 years and I do not wish to lose everything and put nothing on it like iTunes is suggesting. Does anyone know of a way to put what I have on my iPod onto my new pc? Please help!

    Huh?
You can sync to any computer you like.  You can sycn to your new computer.  You have simply failed to keep your content safe.
Apple assumes that you will do the very basics of owning a computer and maintain a backup copy of your computer.
The only issue here is that you failed to do the basics.
    Very sorry.
Transfer your itunes purchases as I described earler.

  • Can't connect to iTunes from my iPod Touch or from my Computer!!

Since yesterday, I have been having trouble connecting to the iTunes store from my iPod and computer. I can search for apps and whatever on both devices, but when it comes time to download them, on the iPod it just says "Waiting.." for a while, then it says "cannot connect to the iTunes store"
If I try to download an app from iTunes on the computer(Windows Vista, HP), it'll go to the iTunes store, I can search for things all fine and dandy and when I get an app I want to download and click it and type in my password to download it, it'll say, "Accessing iTunes store..." then it says "We could not complete your iTunes store request. The internet connection has timed out"
My internet connection is perfectly fine, working just great. I've tried everything it suggests on the Apple site, from changing the hosts abd firewall settings. NOTHING IS WORKING!
I'd really appreciate some help. This is very frustrating. Holidays are supposed to be happy times, right? :'(
Thanks in advance for any help!!

  • Why can't I download Free iPod Touch Apps from Apps Store w/Shopping Cart?

I have an 8GB iPod Touch (original model) with the current 2.1 software. I also have iTunes v. 8.0. The behavior I am seeing started about 3 weeks ago and continues with these updates - it was not like this when I first downloaded the 2.0 software and began installing Apps.
I prefer to manage my iPod Touch applications in iTunes. I have my iTunes account set up for a Shopping Cart, not 1-Click Buy. This is because for Music, I prefer to add songs I will want to my shopping cart, then buy them when I want to.
When iTunes 7.7 first came out with v2.0 software, even though I have a Shopping Cart for my iTunes, I could "buy" a Free App just by clicking on it, and it would be automatically downloaded and added to my Applications folder on iTunes. Then, when I synced with my iPod Touch, it would install the app on my iPod Touch. This was true for either new Apps or upgrades to existing Apps.
For the last few weeks, every time I try to update even an existing App for my iPod Touch, if I do it through the iTunes store, I get the following message:
"Applications cannot be purchased with Shopping Cart.
Your preferences are currently set to buy using Shopping Cart. Application purchases cannot be placed in Shopping Cart: they must be purchase by 1-Click. Select Buy if you'd like to purchase [NAME OF APPLICATION} by using 1-Click and your credit card will be charged immediately."
The [NAME OF APPLICATION] is filled in with whatever application I am dealing with at that time.
Why is it that even with a Free application, and an update for it at that, it will not let me obtain it with iTunes if I have a Shopping Cart? So far, I have solved the problem by doing all of my Applications management on my iPod Touch. I use the iTunes Store on my iPod Touch to search for and download the application. Then, when I sync, it places it in my Applications folder on iTunes on my PC.
This is very strange behavior for iTunes. Why would it want to charge my credit card for a Free Application?
    Many thanks.
    Joe

    Hi Steve,
Thanks for your reply. I do have a valid Credit Card on the account. In addition, I also have about a $5 credit from an iTunes gift card in my iTunes account.
In any event, I'm actually NOT purchasing anything. All I'm trying to do is download a FREE App for my iPod Touch. It simply won't let me do it.
    This is extremely frustrating.
    Best regards.
    Joe

  • Why can't I sync my iPod touch with a new computer without deleting everything?

I recently got a new laptop, but now when I try to sync my iPod touch, it says "The iPod "Jessica's iPod" could not be synced because this computer is no longer authorized for purchased items that are on this iPod". I have authorized my computer, and when I try to authorize it again it says "This computer is already authorized".

  • Transferring Ipod Touch info onto 2nd computer

I have just bought myself a laptop ive downloaded itunes onto it and plugged in my touch. I want to be able to transfere the music, pics & videos from my touch ont my new laptop. The info on the touch only shows a rented video and application but nothing else. All my original pics and such are on another computer. I though as soon as I plugged in my Touch to my new computer the info would be transfered. (I've synced about 4 times)
Memeory left show that there is other info on the touch but nothing is showing on my laptop.
Hope this make sense and someone can help.
    Thanks

You can download a free program called senuti. It will allow you to transfer items from your iPod onto your computer. It must be a mac though. I'm not sure if there is anything for windows. I think there are a few but not as easy to use. iTunes will move purchased items but beyond that you're on your own. Can you not get the files from your original computer?

  • I am using i phone 4 s how can i see receved sms on my phone from my computer

Dear all i am using i phone 4 s how can i access reseved text sms on my phone from my computer. i meen after receved sms on phone can i access it from my windows computer

I can't tell you why your iCloud account isn't working unless you explain what isn't working about it.
To delete the iCloud account without losing the data, start by saving your photo stream photos to the camera roll.  Next, if you're syncing notes with iCloud, open each note and email it to yourself.  You will have to copy and paste the text from the email into new notes.  Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password (if using iOS 7) and choose Keep on My iPhone when prompted.  This will keep the iCloud data on your phone, with the exception of photo stream photos (which you saved to your camera roll) and notes (which you emailed to yourself).

  • Can not add games to iPod touch 4g...

Can not add games to iPod touch 4g from ITunes (PC) it worked befour new update but why not now..

I can now transfer apps including games to my ipod from windows pc in Itunes. I click on ipod tab on the left hand side then click on the apps tab then tick the box at the top to sync and now i can drag and drop apps. No apps or music was lost, still all on my ipod touch, but it did mix my apps up so i had to sort them out. • Rollback iPod Touch 2G from leatest v4 to v3.1.2

How can I roll back my ipod touch 2Gen back to v3.1.2 from the newest version 4?
I am fed up with version 4. Its has so many bugs and my ipod is now not useable. Crashes when playing music, battery drains quickly if WiFi is on, crashes for no reason when booting up, never powers off and just hangs on the loading screen... The list is endless.
I have tried restoring my ipod back to version 3.1.3 but doing the instructions I will describe below but I get an error after the firmware is extracted and it is "verifying the ipod restore with apple". The FAQ says to check itunes can communicate with apples servers. However I suspect that the problem is that apple are rejecting my request to downgrade my ipod.
Any help would be great or information if apple can send it back to me fixed. I doubt it is in warranty and I don't see why I should have to pay for it to be fixed because of a software upgrade from apple.
    Thanks in advanced
How I am trying to put the old version is as follows:
set up your device in recovery mode by simply turn off and unplug your device from your computer >> press and hold the Home button while reconnecting the USB cable to your iPhone >> after iPhone is connected it should power on the device >> continue holding the Home button, and you will see the iTunes logo appear and then finally a “Connect to iTunes” will be displayed >> release the Home button now.
    - Now open iTunes and do a normal reset by holding down the SHIFT key (Windows) or Alt key (Mac) and clicking restore in iTunes >> now select the original 3.1.3 firmware and wait for the completion

  • How can I see or transfer my old photos from my iOS 6 iPod Touch to the 'Years, Collections, Moments' in my iOS 8 iPhone 5S?

How can I see or transfer my old photos from my iOS 6 iPod Touch to the 'Years, Collections, Moments' in my iOS 8 iPhone 5S?
For example, my mom's 'Years, Collections, Moments' in her iPhone 6 has pictures from her old iPhones, even her 3GS

    Greetings Yushk,
It seems you would like to transfer photos from your previous device to your iPhone 5S. I have linked to an article which may help you. You can transfer those photos to a Mac or PC, then sync them to your new device:
Import photos and videos from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to your Mac or Windows PC - Apple Support
After you import your photos from your iOS device or Saved Photos, you can use iTunes to sync them back to your device.
Thank you for contributing to Apple Support Communities.

    No.
    - If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod on the iPod in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up.
    iCloud: Find My iPhone
    - You can also wipe/erase the iPod and have the iPod play a sound via iCloud.
    - If not shown, then you will have to use the old fashioned way, like if you lost a wallet or purse.
    - Change the passwords for all accounts used on the iPod and report to police
    - There is no way to prevent someone from restoring the iPod (it erases it) using it unless you had iOS 7 on the device. With iOS 7, one has to enter the Apple ID and password to restore the device.

  • Why can't I update my ipod touch to the iOS 4.3?

Why can't I update my ipod touch to the iOS 4.3?
I try to update my ipod touch 4th gen. to the new iOS 4.3 software and the thing loads and after the 7-8 minutes or so, when it says "processing file" a pop up says that the network connection has timed out, and to check my network settings. I've tried several different times and get the same result. My wi-fi is working with all three bars and my computer is also connected to the internet. I've tried restoring it but it says I have to get the new software and then I get the same result( this time ipod not restored).... What's going on with my ipod? Anyone help?

    Hi,
Have you tried to see if you have the newest version of iTunes? Also, it may help if you try the following steps.
Download iOS from a third-party website (i reccomend http://whited00r.com/) (as this is a full operating system, it is a big download and may take time on a slow internet connection)
    Unzip the file.
After unzipping, you should now have a .ipsw file.
    Open iTunes
Connect your device and make sure you take a back-up of it first (if you don't all your data will be erased)
Now, while pressing the Restore button, hold down the Alt key (for Mac) or the Shift key (for Windows).
You should now have a window open asking you to choose a file.
Choose the file you just downloaded from whited00r.com
    Press OK
It should start replacing your current OS to the new one.
When this finishes, your device will restart
Click restore from (whatever your old device was called)
It will put back all your apps and information

  • Recently Apple have blocked my account for no particular reason so i had made another account because I couldn't access it i backed my ipod touch 4g to my new account and transferred my games and found out i couldnt update them because i dont own them

Recently Apple have blocked my account for no particular reason so i had made another account because I couldn't access it i backed my ipod touch 4g to my new account and transferred my games and found out i couldnt update them because i dont own the full version of this game can anyone help please get back to me !

    - Apps are locked to the account that purchased them.
    - To update apps you have to sign into the account that purchased the apps. If you have apps that need updating purchased from more than one account you have to update them one at a time until the remaining apps were purchased from one account.
You need to reactivate your first account.
Why do I see the message "This Apple ID has been disabled for security reasons” when I enter my password?
This message means that someone was unable to sign in to this account multiple times. The Apple ID system will disable the account to prevent unauthorized people from gaining access to your information. You'll need to follow the instructions on My Apple ID to reset your password.
