After updating my iPhone 4S with ios6, it seems I have lost over half the Applications from the Home Screen, including Settings, Safari, Camera, Photos and more plus all the original downloaded Applications. Can anyone help please?

The built in apps can't be deleted. If you want them reset back to their original arrangement on your screen, go to Settings>General>Reset>Reset Home Screen Layout. If your purchased apps are missing, either sync them back to your phone with iTunes or redownload them for free (see http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519).

My grandson played with my 4th generation iPod touch and the phone icon and contacts icon are gone. I have gone to settings and done the "reset all settings" and "reset home screen layout" with no success. I also did a hard reset. No luck. Help?

Try doing a Spotlight search for the Contacts app.

I am using windows Vista and having this problem also (not exactly, but iTunes gives pop-up that "files are in use"). Acting a suggestion from another answer in this thread, I clicked on Computer and selected eject...windows did warn me that the device was in use, but also gave me a CONTINUE button, which I clicked and it was ejected...had to go back to iTunes and eject the iPod there also, but it did eject

I see another new 7.8 version has been released, but still some old bugs remain:
Home Screen fonts are broken, at least in Polish verison you seem to use some font that does not contain our accented letters
Home Screen status boxes 2 columns and 1 column layout is fixed to pre-defined 2 widths only. Come on, you can make it adapt to any size? Leaving some white areas, or making whole screen scrollable is really ugly, and even for regular website this would not be acceptable.
The same happends on some other screens, like user profile.

How do you reset your home screen layout on a mac?

I reset my homescreen layout once on my iPhone, and iPad before I returned it to get a 3g model. Can you do that on a Macbook Pro? I just want to stay in the default range.

Open Facetime, go to the Facetime menu, then Preferences.
If you want to use a different AppleID, click the current ID and click Sign Out, then sign in with new one.
If you want to keep the same AppleID but link it to a different email address, click Add Another Email, follow the prompts, then click the old email address and click Remove Email.

The icons al all mess for example I have yahoo messenger and is on the other app like i have to hit my espn icon to go to yahoo and yahoo to go to espn also the battery life not good at all my 3G was 50% more better I regret

The steps below detail how to go about setting a wallpaper on your iPhone.
Wallpaper
You can set a photo as wallpaper for the Lock screen or for the Home screen.
Set a photo as wallpaper:
1 Choose any photo and tap , then tap Use As Wallpaper.
2 Drag the photo to position it and pinch to zoom in or out, until it looks the way
you want.
3 Tap Set, then choose whether you want to use the photo as wallpaper for your Lock
Screen, Home screen, or both.
You can also choose from several wallpaper pictures included with iPhone by choosing

What is the default screen brightness setting?

Could someone please tell me what the default screen brightness setting on a Retina Macbook Pro 15" is? Is it 50% when charging and one point less when on battery?

That isn't really a default setting. It is arbitrary, one system might be different than another at first turn on.
Simple way to tell is wipe your hard drive and reinstall OS X. Whatever the screen brightness is at the completion of the OS X install is the default. Make a record of it.

How do i transfer a apple home screen to a kindle fire HDX?

Ok so I have always loved the Apple home screen layout but instead of getting me a apple device for my birthday I got a kindle fire HDX. How do I transfer home screens? PLEASE I know for sure there is a way to do it.

That does not make sense. Home Screens are part of the software. The Kindle Fire has its own homescreen designed by its developers the way it is.
Also what does this have to do with remote desktop?
Apple Remote desktop lets you access an Apple computer remotely from another Apple computer.
Even if it was possible to somehow emulate an Apple Desktop on a kindle fire, that would be a question to ask in the Kindle fire forums not here.

Default iOS8 home screens for iPhone 6

Hi there,
Does anyone know where I can find the default home screens of iOS 8?
I was able to match the first page by looking on the Apple website but can't see what's on the second screen/page 2.
My recent restore has the newer iOS 8 apps all over the place.

When downloading an app, it goes to 'Open' but no icon appears on home screen. In storage it's name is showing "null". I have lots of memory available.

Any ideas on what the problem is and how can I fix?

Which app icon is missing?
Are you sure it wasn't moved?
Have you checked on another page or in folders?
Does it show in spotlight search? (Swipe down from the center if the screen)
Check your restrictions:
Settings > General > Restrictions
You can also try resetting your Home Screen Layout:
Settings > General > Reset > Reset Home Screen Layout
Delete it:
Settings > General > Usage > select the app > Delete
and redownload:
Open the App Store > Updates > Purchased
