HT4970 Has Apple documented that it has removed the ability to share Reminders in IOS 6?

I have upgraded to IOS 6 and can no longer find out how to Share my Reminder lists. Based on what I can see - it appears that the functionality has been removed - but I can not find any thing directly from Apple that confirms this. I am relatively new to the Apple world and I am astounded that they would remove functionality in an upgrade. Is this common?

Hi, I have a similar problem. I live in the UK in an area where the 3G signal is weak. Ever since I have used iphone (since iphone 3G) - I have used it with 3G switched off when at home. That way it was forced to use the GPRS (or 2G) mobile signal from o2.
This worked fine, and I had 4 or 5 bars of signal always. If I enabled 3G at home that would drop to between 1 bar and NO SERVICE. This made using the iphone as a telephone virtually impossible as call quality was rubbish and often dropped out.
I used wifi for internet so it was never an issue, and I switched on 3G when out if I needed it.
Since the ios8 upgrade APPLE have taken away the ability to switch between 2G and 3G. Instead the button now switches between 4G and either 2G or 3G, this either is decided by the iphone itself depending on the strength of the 2G and 3G signals.
I have spoken to APPLE twice about this. The first time yeaterday they flatly blamed o2 and said it was nothing to do with them. So I called o2 and guess what; yes you got it, they blamed Apple. IT reminded me of when Steve Jobs got up on that stage and denied there was ever a problem with the iPhone 4 antenna a few years back.
So I called Apple back, and today the guy I spoke to did seem to understand my problem and sympathise with it. He said I was not alone and that hopefully it would be fixed by an update.
Luckily for me I am only 3 months away from an upgrade, so if they dont fix it by then I am going to take the leap and jump to Android.
The short term solution - and you need to be quick if you have already upgraded to ios8, is to downgrade to ios7.1.2
This is not officially supported by Apple, but it you google it, it is quite easy, you have to download an ipsw file and then do a restore in itunes, but you will lose everything on the phone, and you cannot back up from a backup made with ios8.
I hope they sort this out, it has driven me mad over the past 2 days.
We need the Toggle between 2G and 3G to be re-instated.

ATV cannot play movies from the TC, even if it is on your home network.. ATV is a streamer.. it is not a media player.. and the TC is a dumb as a board hard disk in a router.. so it has nothing in it either.
You cannot play movies from ATV without itunes, which streams to the ATV.
If the iMac is running 24/7 then you should be able to connect to the iMac remotely and run from iTunes on that, which could then play movies stored on the TC.. with the following issues.. if you use wireless on the iMac forget it. The iMac has to be ethernet connected as it has to pick up the movie on the library and play it back to the TC to network to your home.
The next issues is speed of slowest connection.
Your download to your home maybe great.. what is the upload speed from your office like??
If you pay for uploads and downloads you will pay for the movie 3x.. first to download it.. second to upload it.. office to net.. and third to download it again.. net to home.. Sorry but it is better to play the movie directly from online itunes store.
If you plan to try and play non-itunes movies over the connection, it won't work.. ATV as stated is linked to itunes and cannot play movie files.
Overall this sounds like you need to think it out a bit more.

As shown in "http://www.google.com/support/mobile/bin/answer.py?answer=138740&topic=14252" ( and as used in my old iPhones running 3.x.x ) under "Settings=>Mail,Contacts,Calendars=>Gmail" you could select to sync "Mail, Contacts, Calendars". I have used this feature for the past year or so and it's been great.
Now, under iOS 4.0.x you can only choose to sync Mail, Calendars, Notes. The choice to sync "Contacts" has been removed by Apple.
Here is where it gets interesting: My wife ran a backup and restore to move from her iPhone3GS to iPhone4. Whereas I did a complete fresh install.
Her phone continues to sync contacts, mine does not.
When I drill into "Settings=>Mail,Contacts,Calendars=>Gmail" on her iPhone4 there are two now two accounts with identical names and all other details the same. One which syncs Mail and Notes
The second syncs Contacts and Calendars
For some reason they can exist concurrently. This is not the case on my iPhone4 ( fresh install ) which only allows one account and will not give the option of push syncing contacts
To be honest I've found it incredibly irritating that this feature has been removed in 4.0.x ! Syncing google contacts instantly, transparently and automatically over WiFi/3G has been incredibly useful and I'm pretty gutted that it has suddenly just been taken away !

Is this when creating and accessing the account as an Exchange account, or when creating the account using the Gmail account preset which creates the account as an IMAP account?

well the topic says it. Powermanager 1.60 has removed the abilty to show the current power consumption in the tray.
I realy frustrated right now, why the heck did they remove this nice feature?
And this new energy slider is just trash. If i change back to advanced mode, i cant see my current power consumption. Nor in the main battery tab. The field "Current Power" is just blank. And the option in the tray vanished.
What the **bleep** are these guys doing. There was a time i fought this powermanger is the best software ibm/lenovo ever produced, but since the change of the ui, and removing important features. Its unbeliveable.
Especialy if you are on windows xp, this looks like **bleep**, and this "new" gauge desgin, flickers and stops my mouse on hower over the new "Design".

microsoft has removed the jvm 1.1 download from their website.
However, I need to find it to install it on my computer in order to get my signed applets to work.
Does someone have access to the executable?
I should have downloaded it and kept it on my PC.

is there a way to determine what version of the jvm i'm running , be it 1.0 or 1.1 ?
I realize there may be charts associating browser versions with jvm versions but i was wondering if there was a way for me to explicitly test this.

When you get a call it has some small icons of reminding and message and one white ugly "slide to answer" bar.*** seriously?
People complained about the green bar in IOS 7.0.3. You can't please everyone with everything. Deal with it and move on. Or you can just get a Droid phone and suffer through the bizarre interface changes.
A lot of people would really appreciate a release with the old interface back.
People complained about every interface change that Apple has tried. As I said earlier, you can't please everyone with everything. The interface is what it is, learn it, deal with it, or move on to something more to your liking. I think they still make flip phones.

HT2492 ML Dashboard Calendar widget has lost the ability to change the date.

In ML the Dashboard calendar widget has lost the ability to change the day to other days. You can still navigate to different months with the arrow keys, but clicking on any day has no effect. I have not found a keystroke/mouse combination that allows the date to be changed from today's date.
This is a useful function for me, to quickly be able to see what I have scheduled on any day. Now I have to open iCal, which is annoying.

You are correct that there is no way to sort jobs in the print queue window in Snow Leopard. This is to be considered expected behavior. In other words, that's the way the software engineers intend it to work in Snow Leopard. You should provide Apple with feedback as to what you want. I can't see the columns A & B but if I cut and paste the table to a new sheet, the columns I am missing will travel to the new sheet. I have charts and other stuff related the the original table so I need to figure out why I can only see from column C forward. I tried to "UNHIDE" the columns but the function doesn't seem to recognise that there are columns missing. Has this happened to others and how did you fix it?

I've seen it happen before, or at least it sounds something like what I've seen before. The table somehow gets into the margins of the page and the app doesn't know how to deal with it. Go into Print View and try moving the table away from the left side ofthe page. You might have to change content size or resize the table to get it to correct (then put you can put them back the way you like).

Hi I also have this problem. Sound was only working on the headphones and also on the volume slider in the settings app. Everywhere else I get no sound and no volume slider. Now the headphones don't work either.

And NO it's not muted. I've reset all settings and restarted the iPad. Been searching forums for a couple days. Some say its a dirty docking port problem, others suggest a Skype or other app update that could be the problem.

Try restarting your WiFi router by removing power to it for 30 seconds.

If you don't want to export files and consider the Microsoft formats to be your basic working format, then you need to consider either using MsOffice for Mac or LibreOffice instead of the iWork suite.
You could always run a virtualised OSX on the Toshiba, but I don't think Apple will appreciate me telling you how to do that.
