Hi I got an Iphone 3GS on Vodaphone and got it unlocked so I can use it on Orange. My phone is currently on ios version 4.2.1 however when i plug it into my laptop it says you have the current softwear even though the newest is ios 6. I have updated my itunes but it still dosent work. Please can i have some help BTW. My wife has just got an iphone 5 and we both use the same itunes so it is definitly not itunes. recovery mode
open itunes on computer
plug cable into computer not iOS device
turn device off
hold home button and plug cable into IOS device. do not release home button until an itunes graphic appears on IOS device.
look to computer should have message about recovery mode click ok and restore

Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
