  • How to choose a picture from photo library on iPhone ?

    Hi guys,
    I am trying to upload a picture in "Photos"(I mean phone photos library) from the app. Actually I don't know how to code it.
    Can you suggest me for this issue ?
    Thanks in advance.

    Well this is a 3-part project:
    1) To allow the user to select a photo from the iPhone library, create an instance of [UIImagePickerController|http://developer.apple.com/library/ios/#documentation/ UIKit/Reference/UIImagePickerControllerClass/UIImagePickerController/UIImagePickerController.html%23//appleref/doc/uid/TP40007070]:
    UIImagePickerController *picker = [[UIImagePickerController alloc] init];
    picker.delegate = self;
    picker.sourceType = UIImagePickerControllerSourceTypePhotoLibrary;
    [self presentModalViewController:picker animated:YES];
    [picker release];
    2) To get the data from the selected photo, implement [imagePickerController:didFinishPickingMediaWithInfo:|http://developer.apple.co m/library/ios/documentation/UIKit/Reference/UIImagePickerControllerDelegateProtocol/UIImagePickerControllerDelegate/UIImagePickerControllerDelegate.html#// appleref/doc/uid/TP40007069-CH3-SW8] in the picker controller's delegate:
    - (void)imagePickerController:(UIImagePickerController *)picker
    didFinishPickingMediaWithInfo:(NSDictionary *)info {
    UIImage* image = [info objectForKey:UIImagePickerControllerOriginalImage];
    NSData *jpegData = UIImageJPEGRepresentation (image, 1.0);
    // dismiss controller and start upload here
    3) Upload the jpeg data. Of course the details will depend on the site (E.g. see [ObjC - Post a UIImage by using NSData and NSURLRequest?|http://stackoverflow.com/questions/743903/objc-post-a-uiimage-by- using-nsdata-and-nsurlrequest]).
    If you've never uploaded image data or an image file to a web site, step 3 is going to be the hardest, and in that case I would rcommend another thread with a title like "How to upload image to URL". Hopefully that will get the attention of programmers who have more experience with that topic than I do. Anyway it's an entirely different subject than you've described in the title of this thread.
    Even if you have experience uploading data, I would recommend working on steps 1 and 2 first. You could check your work by adding these lines to the delegate example above:
    BOOL result = [jpegData writeToFile:@"/Users/Raiden/Picture.jpeg" atomically:NO];
    NSLog(@"jpegData=%@ result=%d", jpegData, result);
    Once you get the desired picture into your test file, you can work on the upload, confident that your source data is correct.

  • How can I delete pics from photos in order to free up space on my iPod 5 with iOS 8?

    In iOS 8, how can I delete pictures from photos app because I have run out of space, I need to delete at least 6 GB of pics.  I deleted many purchased apps but it did not restore space.  When I connect to iTunes it shows about 4 GB's allocated to documents & Data.  I do not have any documents or data , also it shows a couple of GB's allocated to "other"  I checked everything on the iPod and the only thing I can see using all my space is the pictures.  Almost 12 GB's of space.  I have all the videos and pics backed to iPhoto library on my iMac.  The trash can is disabled on iPod, but enabled on iPhone and iPad.  Why is the delete/trash can feature disable on my iopd?  I need to delete the videos and a lot of pics.

    Were the photos synced to the iPod?
    If so you have to unsync them or use a third-party computer program like TouchCopy or PhoneView
    An "other" larger than about 1 1/2 GB indicates corrupted files.
    What is the Other on my iPhone and How to Remove It
    What is "Other" and What Can I Do About It?
    Next, usually restoring from backup eliminated the corrupted files. However, sometimes restoring to factory settings/new iPod is required.
    To restore from backup see:

    To restore to factory settings/new iPod see:

    How to delete duplicate pictures from Photo Library in iPhone 3G 16 giga?

    The only way to delete photos from the photo library is by the same way the photos were transferred to your iPhone - via the iTunes sync process.
    Are you saying a photo or all photos transferred to your iPhone via the iTunes sync process are duplicated in your iPhone's Photo Library without being duplicated in the folder on your computer where these photos are stored?

    if you have iphoto 9.2.3 or later, and photostream is on the left hand side, just drag the images into the trash.
    the only other option is to nuke all of them at once by signing into icloud.com clicking on your name in the top right, then going to advanced. and pressing the Reset Photostream button.
    or alternatively, a quick google search will show you http://howto.cnet.com/8301-11310_39-20121486-285/how-to-delete-photos-from-photo -stream/   which says exactly what i just said

  • How can I  delete pictures from my moments off the new IOS8

    How can I delete pictures from my moments off the new IOS8 when it doesnt give me the option to delete the photo itself? The icon of the trash doesnt appear what so ever. This is the only thing im dissapointed in the IOS8 update. Theres not even a camera roll where you can delete the photo like the IOS7

    Try this:
    1. Start from the homescreen of your Iphone/pod (for dummies: where all of your "apps" are).
    2. Look for an app on your homescreen titled "Photos", when you find it - Click it.
    3. When the app opens, go ahead and look towards the bottom of your phonescreen.
         You should see a navigation with three different options;
           "Photos", "Shared" & "Albums"; Why don't you just go ahead and click on "Albums", there we go - Very nice!
    4. On the next screen that appears, it should display your different albums.
         Look for "Recently Deleted", and when you find it - Click on it.
           It should be on that list somewhere (or there's a problem!).
    5. Now you should see a screen displaying all of the recent photos you've deleted.
         The term we know as "recent" to iOS is thirty days (that's 720 hours in people-time!).
           You will have to click to each individual photo, however at the bottom left-hand cornor of every photo take notice of the 'Delete' option.
    You're welcome.
