I think you have a 1G (original) iPod touch. These do not have BT.

An iPhone 4S can only be updated directly to iOS 8.1.2. You need to resolve the issue which prevents you from updating to it instead of attempting to install an intermediate version.

Between Ipads and Iphones None of these people ever connected to Iunes on their systems I O S devices that could be upgraded had to be done through Itunes before Devices that that I O S 6 had the option of updateing trough the device. If you see a message that an app requires a later version of iOS, it is referring to the MINIMUM iOS version required. For example, if it says it requires iOS 7.0, then it will work on iOS 7 or any version after it. Just update to iOS 8.3.
