You can see the current version in Settings > General > About > Version. If it shows iOS 5+ then you should have a Settings > General > Software Update for direct update on the iPad, if it's iOS 4 then you can only update via your computer's iTunes.
To update via your computer, connect the iPad to your computer's iTunes and copy any purchases off it to your computer via File > Transfer Purchases (File > Devices > Transfer Purchases on iTunes 11). You may also want to copy photos and any important documents off the iPad as well e.g. via the file sharing section at the bottom of the device's apps tab when connected to iTunes, via wifi, email, dropbox etc - they should be included in the backup, but it's best to have a copy of them outside of the backup just in case. You can then force a backup of the iPad by right-clicking the iPad 'Device' on the left-hand side of iTunes and selecting 'Backup'.
Then start the update by selecting the iPad on the left-hand side of iTunes (on iTunes 11 you can enable the left-hand sidebar via option-command-S on a Mac, control-S on a PC), and on the Summary tab on the right-hand side clicking the Check For Updates button

An iPad 2 will be updated to iOS 6.1.3, that is the only version that is 'signed' by signed for it

What format are those music scores (I'm not familiar with cubase documents). But, it may be that Adobe PDF Pack doesn't support that format. In that case, Acrobat is the way to go. You can then print your files to PDF as you'd like. You're welcome to try Acrobat for free for 30 days to see whether it's going to work for you. If you decide it is, and you'd like to use it going forward, you could convert your PDF Pack subscription into an Acrobat subscription.

You are getting this message because you are trying to create an iCloud account on a PC. You can only create iCloud account on an iOS device (iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch) running iOS 5 or higher, or on a Mac running OS X Lion (10.7.5) or higher. After creating your account on one of these devices you will then be able to sign into the account using this ID on your PC.

As Terence Devlin said, the upgrade to Mavericks is free at the AppStore. Open the first tab at the AppStore (Featured) and you can buy it for free, if your Mac can be upgraded to Mavericks.
But before you do that, check the applications you need to use for compatibility with Mavericks, for example at Roaring Apps: http://roaringapps.com/apps?index=a
PowerPC applications can no longer run on Mavericks, some device drivers may not be available as Mavericks compatible versions.
To prepare for the update take these precautions:
Make a full backup of your mac, including the applications libraries. In addition to the TimeMachine backup a bootable clone is very useful, since it enables you to revert easily to the old system.
Update all applications to there latest version, thatare available on Snowleopard.
If you find, that the Mavericks upgrade would make too many applications redundant, consider Terence Devlin's second option to buy the boxed iLife version.

if you have backed up your iPhone, photos that were taken on the iPhone will be in the back up file. Any photos synced to your iPhone from a computer will need to be synced again. To restore your iPhone from a back up right click on the name of your iPhone in iTunes and select restore from back up.

I had an iPod about 5 months ago, it was all fine but eventually I returned it. I took off iTunes and all of the software, yesterday I got a new iPod and tried to install it and it all went well, it seemed. Except it won't let me open iTunes!! When I tried to re-install it said Installshield was being prevented and could not install. What do I do?? Can you Help me!!?

Use Windows to locate the folder(s) in which the song files reside. It might be "My Music."
In iTunes, use the command File > Add Folder to LIbrary. When the dialog comes up, point it to the folder that has the music.

You can also do a clean reinstall and download a fresh Firefox copy from http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all.html and save the file to the desktop.
Uninstall your current Firefox version and remove the Firefox program folder before installing that copy of the Firefox installer.
It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
You can initially skip the step to create a new profile, that may not necessary for this issue.

Here are some things I need answers to before I decide to buy a Nano.
1. Can this be used as a storage device for documents? I would like to transfer data between work and home computers easily.
2. If I'm listening to a podcast and need to stop, is it easy to setup a bookmark so I can resume later? I know that it remembers where you are when you turn it off, but what if I want to stop a podcast and go listen to a song? How can I easily resume the podcast?
3. Many of my podcasts are just a few minutes long and I need an easy way to delete them when I'm done as I drive down the freeway at 70+ MPH. Is it easy to delete a podcast or song while driving?
4. I see that it syncs the "To Do" list that I have on iCal. Can I add a "to do" with my Nano? Or do I need to wait until I am home on my computer to do this and sync it over?

1).Someone already mentioned this but your number one is incorrect. Your nano can be used as an external disk up to the available capacity on it as long as you have it set in disk mode. You won't be able to view items on it directly that you store in such manner but you will be able to use it to store and move data.
2). You're correct about the video podcasts but the original poster mentioned nothing about video podcasts so that was an irrelevant note.
3). This is only part true....if you use your iPod in autosync mode. If you are a manual mode user you do not have to delete things off of your iTunes in order to delete it from your iPod. You can delete whatever you want from your iPod and have it remain in your iTunes untouched. You do have to do so with it connected to iTunes of course, but other than that your iTunes can keep everything in it that you put without affecting what you take off of your iPod.
And your sidenote...ABSOLUTELY CORRECT! Just the mention of 70mph and messing with the iPod disturbed me lol.

This came from another thread, but worked for me. Problem is with newest iTunes 4.62. Unistall iTunes, as well as its helper programs (Apple Application Support, Apple Mobile Device Support, and Apple Software Update). Reboot, and reinstall iTunes. It will reinstall all the other ones and you should be able to connect your nano. Good luck.
