my i phone 1 wont download alot of apps it keeps saying that i need a better ios system.. when i plug it in to itunes it says i have the latest version how do i intall a later version so i can use all the apps in the app store?
It can't be updated past 3.1.3. If you need a newer iOS version, you need to sell it and put the money towards a newer device.

ThanksWindows 7 will download video just fine via the USB cable and your Import utility on the computer. Connect the device to the computer and it should open Auto Play and provide you a selection to import photos and video. The video would be saved in whatever location you have set up in Auto Play. Generally the default is the Video Library.

My son has a Iphone5C and I have an Iphone 5. We both share the same apple store login for purchasing music and apps. I have some songs I have acquired over the years with various CDs of my own. I have those songs on my iphone as well as my itunes music. Now that my son got this new iphone 5C itunes will not allow him to add my songs to his iphone. Yet, it did before on his ipod. How can I put these songs on his iphone as well? It seems ridiculous that he should have to rebuy the songs that I already rightfully own (non itunes songs). Thanks so much!
All of your music should be in your iTunes library on your computer. You can sync your music to any Apple device through iTunes.

We have 2 iPhones. How can I get my contacts from showing up on my wifes?
My wife just bought an iPhone after admiring mine for a year. After I synced hers to our computer my contacts show up on her phone (hers don't show up on mine).
In iTunes I clicked on my wife's phone profile and then the info tab. While there is a section for "contacts" I see no place to select a specific set of contacts (the window that seems to display different contacts is blank) .

To create a new library:
First create a new folder in the iTunes/music folder called Wife iPhone, so that it is easy to determine that this is where your wife's iPhone library etc are stored.
1: Double click on the iTunes icon and straight away after doing this hold down the SHIFT key.
2: You should now see a little window appear, click on create library and choose the location where you are wanting it saved to, its advisable to save it in the folder called wife iPhone. You will now have created a totally separate library for that iPhone.
3: When you are wanting to connect/sync with the desired iPhone to iTunes and access the library that, that one uses. You need to load up iTunes again and hold the SHIFT key, but this time you need to click on choose library and locate the library file from the folder you created earlier (wife iPhone). The library file will have .itl on the end of its name. -

If you have synced your phone with a computer connect to that computer and you can back it up without the passcode. If you have not synced to a computer there is no way to recover data without the passcode.

I updated my 3GS to os5 and set up icloud and it backed it up, although, the backup says incomplete. I turned off the contacts under icloud and they are now all gone off the iphone. How do I get them back? I feel like they are in icloud, because the contacts went to another iphone i have.
