Tap Settings App > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. See if better. If still problem, Restore your iPhone with current iTunes on your computer. See if better. If still problem, and if there is Warranty or Applecare make Genius reservation or set up Service and take or send to Apple for resolution.

Iam unable to switch using the stop button in IPOD

whenever a song/video is played iam unable to switch off the IPDOD but if press the menu button for some 6 seconds and then press the hold button iam able to switch off.If the song/video is not played then if i press the hold button iam able to switch off without any problem.

When a song is NOT playing, press and hold the Play/Pause button. THis is how you shut off the iPod. Then, you can engage the Hold switch to ensure you don't accidentally turn it back on.

Had a similar problem a number of years ago with a laptop my daughter had. The probelm turned out to be the router. What kind of router do you have? Have you checked for firmware updates, or at least tried re-booting it?

Satellite R840-12C: cannot switch off the WiFi function manually

I have recently purchased a brand new Toshiba Satellite R840-12C Notebook.
The Wifi LED remains "on" and the function key does not work, in other words cannot switch off the WiFi function manually.
Although the WiFi function remains 'on" I cannot connect to a wireless modem.
When I go to device manager I find conflicts in "other devices" for
1. Network Controller
2. PCI Simple Communications Controller
3. Unknown Device
Tried updating drivers by connecting through ethernet cable to the modem but to no avail.

Did you install the WLan driver?
The notebook seems to be equipped with the Atheros AR9285 Wlan card and in most cases the Fn + F8 button does not work because the Wlan driver is not installed or does not work properly.
Recommend firstly deleting the WLan card from the device manager and then to reboot the notebook. After the new reboot install the new downloaded Atheros Wlan driver for this wlan card.

Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
    •    Launch Settings app
    •    Tap on Wi-Fi
    •    Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
    •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

EUREKA, I found the solution to my problem in a Discussion initiated by gingertodd on July 27, 2011 entitled "Safari in Lion hijacked by malware." The solution was provided by Badunit who recommended force quitting Safari and then reopening it while holding down the Shift key. It worked instantly, and I subsequently was able to open Safari normally by just clicking on its icon in the Dock. THANK YOU BADUNIT!

It probably had moisture inside, and as you used it you caused the moisture to short out critical components. You can take your iPhone to an Apple Store for diagnostics, but if the moisture indicators are tripped (and they probably are) it would need to be an out of warranty repair, or if you have it, one for the $79 Apple Care+ "incidents". If you have to pay the full price for an out of warranty repair, that will run you much closer to $269 USD.

You can try a hard reset by pressing the sleep/wake button and home button together for about 10 seconds and see if it reboots
Edited to add: I would also recommend using iTunes to perform the update since it gives you the option to backup your data files prior to updating.
