Is your iPad jail broken? If it is, I really don't know what to tell you to try. If it isn't jail broken, try disabling your firewall and antivirus software and try activating with iTunes again.

I'm not sure what you can do at this point. If I had been in your shoes, I would have kept the pics in the camera's SD cards until my return home.
I'm really reluctant to suggest this but, at this point, you probably can't lose. Do a "Restore." Be forewarned that it could take well over an hour! Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow the on-screen directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod. As before, say "yes." Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time. If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device. Corrective action is simple - choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.

I just took a peek at the TinyUmbrella FAQs. Your device has been jailbroke and that's likely the reason why the problem occurred to begin with. Contact the jailbreaker for assistance. Neither Apple nor anyone on the forum can help you as we do not know the characteristics of your device. -
Ipad 2 unable to restore after io8 Update
Hello apple,
I backed up my ipad2 in itunes and I downloaded the ios 8 software through laptop and I try to update the software in ipad2, it said update failed and it went in to restore mode. so when I try to restore it, it says Ipad could not be recovered and unknown error occured with number 3194, so Now I don't have any software in it. so could you please let me know how should I proceed further, as I dont have any software now. how to revert back or update to ios8.

[SOLVED] Unable to boot after a pacman and etc-update
I updated my machine with pacman following which I started having issues with pacman complaining about unavailable database and stopped working.
Then thinking it to be the problem with new configuration files, I ran etc-update and merged the pacnew files.
Now, on restart, I can't boot into the machine. I keep getting the following lines over and over again.
Starting LXDE Display manager.
Stopping LXDE Display manager.
Stopped LXDE Display manager.
Starting LXDE Display manager.
Stopping LXDE Display manager.
Stopped LXDE Display manager.
Starting LXDE Display manager.
Stopping LXDE Display manager.
Stopped LXDE Display manager.
Any help would be much appreciated.
EDIT: The solution is as below.
PROBLEM: I was using catalyst drivers for my ATI Radeon card. Lately, the repo was not responding and pacman was not upgrading anything from that repo. So, after an upgrade and merging of pacnew files with etc-update, I was unable to boot. Not sure exactly where from the problem started.
SOLUTION:
1. Removed catalyst - Follow all the steps mentioned in the wiki - https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/AM … stallation. I missed a few and well, I was stuck. In my case, I had installed using catalyst-generator and hence, had to remove it using catalyst_build_module remove_all after getting into root.
2. Install open source driver - Installed the Open source drive with all steps mentioned in the wiki - https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/ATI#Installation
3. I had forgotten to follow all the steps correctly while removing catalyst, had not removed "nomodset" from kernel parameters and hence, was not able to boot as well. Don't forget to remove that from grub.

Ipad 2 won't charge after ios 7.0.3 update
After the ios 7.0.3 update, I had to restore my ipad2. Now, it won't charge. I have tried different plugs and outlets. I have also reset it and restored it, again. Nothing worked. Has anyone had this problem and any luck fixing it?
Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W or 12W (5W on Mini) USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (2.5W, most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.
Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.

IPad 2 gets error 1611 after going into recovery when updating to iOS 5
Last week I got a new iPad 2. Everytime I try to update my iPad 2 to 5.0.1, iTunes switches to restoring my iPad at a certain moment. This goes on for quite a while, until it stops and gives me an error 1611. After this my iPad stays unrecoverable in recovery mode, because it keeps giving a 1611 error. In the end I resorted to using Tiny Umbrella to get my iPad out of recovery mode again.
While I can live with using 4.3.5, it is fairly annoying I can't use the most recent iOS version. DOes anybody have a solution for me?
I already checked for iTunes updates, cleared apple out fo the hosts file, shut off my AV and I am using the original cable. Also I am using 64 bits iTunes on Windows 7.Look at http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4097
Also, make sure you have a good USB connection - plug directly into your computer.
Once when I had a restore problem, I downloaded iTunes again & reinstalled.

Ipad mini 2 often crashes after ios 8.1.2 update
my ipad mini2 always shows the apple logo randomly then goes to lock screen - even when i am only browsing facebook. i also always encounter my apps crashing when playing. and my extremeplayerHD always requests update every 5 mins when a movie is playing although there is no app update in appstore. my ipad was fine before the update. kinda annoying that apps always crash or the ipad itself crashes showing apple logo. what can i do? can i downgrade to the old version? pls help

Unable to boot after failed 10.10.2 update
Hey all,
I have an early 2008 24" 2.8GHz iMac with a 120GB Intel 320 SSD and 6GB RAM that I installed myself. I performed a clean install of Yosemite 10.10.0, and with the 10.10.1 update, there were no issues, and the machine ran fine. However, when I attempted to update my Mac to 10.10.2, I ran into a serious problem.
Like many Yosemite users, it was very difficult to download the update from the Mac App Store update tab when it was first released. The download was occurring at a very slow rate taking well over two hours . I wasn't using my iMac for anything else during this time.
At some point during this process a family member accidentally unplugged the router. I went back to the Mac to check on it, and although the update was only halfway downloaded according to the App Store, the computer automatically restarted to apply the update before I could stop it.
I saw the update progress bar and the update seemed to install without any problems. However, when the Mac went to reboot, I was greeted with the prohibitory symbol. I tried restarting several times without success. I also tried to boot into Safe Mode and even single user mode, and neither worked. I also reset the SMC and zapped the PRAM, which didn't help. I also booted into the recovery partition on the drive and ran Disk Utility's repair disk on both the partition as well as the disk itself, and ran a permissions repair. It also didn't work.
I even hooked up my iMac to a friend's MBP via Firewire Target Disk Mode, and installed the 10.10.2 standalone update to the iMac, but it also didn't work. I was going to attempt the 10.10.2 combo update, but I read that it wasn't working for 10.10.1 systems, and only worked for 10.10.0 installs. I have a copy of the Disk Warrior 4.4 CD, and I booted up from that on the iMac and rebuilt the disk directory, but no luck.
Fortunately, I do have a Time Machine backup on an external HDD. I also don't exclude anything from the TM backups, which includes the System folder from OS X, so I attempted a restore from from my backup using the recovery partition. I have backups from well before the install began. I first tried earlier in the day before the install began, and when that didn't fix anything I tried a restore from a backup from a few days ago, but that didn't even work either!
Finally, I was forced to do an in-place reinstall of Yosemite from the recovery partition. The reinstall worked, and I was able to boot successfully into the desktop. Unfortunately, I have some missing files, specifically two months worth of Quicken data entry and part of my documents folder. I do know that I backed everything up via TM, so I'm not sure why those items are missing. Also, my Chameleon SSD Optimizer app won't open, and appears to be corrupted.
I'm trying to understand what exactly happened, and if there was another method I could have taken to get the Mac working again, other than the laundry list of things I tried. Since I had the iMac fully backed up (including system files) with TM before I tried to download and install the botched update, should I have tried to format the OS X partition with my recovery partition, and then run the TM restore so it could have replaced the corrupted system files with the working backup copy, rather than perform an in-place reinstall of Yosemite? Could I still do that now to get my files back?
Another thing I don't understand is why the Mac ran the update after it lost Internet connection in the middle of the update, which wasn't even finished downloading. Shouldn't the system have checked the update to ensure the entire bundle was downloaded before executing the install process?What is your OS? Database version?

If the device is in Recovery Mode, the data is already lost. You will have to restore the device to regain access, and restoring will delete all content. If you have the photos in a backup, you can restore to that backup and it will restore the photos.

Well, I too am now stuck, unable to boot after the 10.4.9 update. My problems are a bit different than others on this forum. When I boot up, I get the dong startup sound. Then it switches to the white screen with the apple logo. The spinner NEVER shows up however. After awhile, the G5 fans start revving up really loud. I have let it run in this mode for up to an hour, and nothing ever happens beyond that.
I have tried to boot up in single user and verbose mode, but I cannot. I press Command-S or Command-V right after the dong startup, but nothing happens except that it goes to the Apple logo screen.
I am able to hold down Shift at startup, but then when I click my disk icon, it hangs at the Apple logo screen again.
I am currently running the Extended Hardware test from my Powermac G5 CD. It looks like everything is going to pass just fine.
I am a huge fan of Apple, but this just absolutely *****. It seems there are a lot of people having these problems. Get your stuff together Apple.

If I had know my iPad would cause such distress after this update I wouldn't have attempted it.
Because of this bloody update a plethora of problems have appeared and I have no clue how to fix it.
Firstly at around 4 this morning the wifi connection was spotty so I had to keep on reconnecting, but that was fixed by getting closer to the router. I thought "problem solved no biggie right?" WRONG! I left my house and came back expecting the wifi to connect again, but that was a fail.
SOOOOO I figured I needed to forget the network and log back in. That didnt work. I should not have done that. I should not have done that.
I got the *Unable to join the network. Dismiss* crap over and over and over again!
So now I figured I'd look up some help! Why not give it a go! So i got that whole (general- reset- reset network) with or without turning on airplane mode bs. Didnt work. Trust me I tried both.Twice.
Since that didnt work I figured a reboot would. No. I turned my iPad off so many times I probably gave the poor thing whiplash
Now this has been going on all day and I finally gave in an hour ago and decided if I restore it to the ios 7.1.1 it'll work again.
Well it must be my freakin birthday cause guess what? You have to turn off your icloud's "find my ipad"to restore and to do that you need a........ wait for it................. internet connection!!!! Brilliant. Just. Brilliant. -_-

AmnestySome things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.
Some Wi-Fi losses may stem from a problematic interaction between Wi-Fi and cellular data connections. Numerous users have found that turning off Cellular Data in Settings gets their Wi-Fi working again.
You may have many apps open which can possibly cause the slowdown and possibly the loss of wifi. In iOS 4-6 double tap your Home button & at the bottom of the screen you will see the icons of all open apps. Close those you are not using by pressing on an icon until all icons wiggle - then tap the minus sign. For iOS 7 users, there’s an easy way to see which apps are open in order to close them. By double-tapping the home button on your iPhone or iPad, the new multitasking feature in iOS 7 shows full page previews of all your open apps. Simply scroll horizontally to see all your apps, and close the apps with a simple flick towards the top of the screen.

What to do now when my iPad won't turn on after I turn it off. It shows only the apple logo. I am sure it has above 70% charge as when I sync my iPad it shows necessary detail in iTunes. I have tried, HOME & POWER button, but did not work.
First try a Reset ( No Data will be Lost )
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least Ten seconds... (But can take Longer)... until the Apple logo appears. Release the Buttons
If no joy... Try a Restore...
1: Connect the device to Your computer and open iTunes.
2: If the device appears in iTunes, select and click Restore on the Summary pane.
