Yes you can upgrade from 4.3.3 to 6.0.
Your media - apps, games, music, photos, and so are not included in the backup. Your app data, settings, and many other things are included in the backup. After you update the iPad, you should sync with iTunes in order to put all of that content back into the iPad. This is what I recommend doing - I do it myself every time I update my iPads, or iPod Touch.
What you should do anytime that you update the device is to transfer purchases from the iPad into iTunes - File>Transfer Purchases - and you should backup the iPad as well. When you update the update the device, if something goes wrong, you can restore from the backup.
If you have any other important files, you may want to transfer them to your computer as well, prior to the update.

Iphone 4 will not back up songs, apps etc.

My iphone 4 (with latest software) will appear in iTune (all music and photos are visible) but it will not do a complete backup. I will go through the process, creating a new file in seconds but will not save music, photos or apps. I've tried to backup on other computer (one . a new Mac Notebook) with the same result . A file will be saved but with nothing in it.

The iPhone's backup does not include any iTunes content - no music, movies, tv shows, podcasts, tones, audio and print books, or apps.
If you have Sync Music selected under the Music tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes, after downloading a song direct with your iPhone the song will be copied to your iTunes library automatically the first time you sync your iPhone with iTunes after doing so.
The same applies to Apps when having Sync Apps selected under the Apps tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes.
iTunes also includes an option to automatically download music, books, and apps purchased/downloaded direct with an iOS device, and the same with an iOS device for music, books, and apps purchased/downloaded with iTunes on your computer or with another iOS device.

Have a 3350 and would like to add it to my network. Do I need to make IOS changes?

In my home network I have a number of netgear gigabit unmanaged switches. My Firewall/Router acts as DHCP and DNS.
I would like to add a Cisco 3550 to segment the network and put all of my Tivo IPTV equipment on for fastest throughput. Not Vlan, just a physical where all the Tivo traffic from the DVR to all of the streaming devices will be on this switch and will not need to traverse the other network switches
As a test I plugged the 3550 into the network and then threw a workstation into the switch as well. I wasn't sure if the switch would do auto x over but it did and it appeard to work. I was able to get to the internet from the PC connected to the switch. When I tried to access my NAS from the computer it did not work.
I'm wondeing if I have to make any configuration changes to the switch in order to do what I'd like? Since everythig I use is unmanaged I don't have a lot of experienece with managed devices and it's been years and years since I've done any IOS (is it even still called that?) configuration.
I'm sure there are firmware updates for this switch it's been in a box for many years. Can I obtain firmware for this switch without any sort of subscription? If so, can you point me in the right direction.
Also, how do I get into this switch once it's on my network? Is there a web interface? SSH? or do I have to use the console port? It doesn't show up on my network as an IP address like some of my other gear does.
Would this work plug and play?

I don't think iTunes can do that. Your best source for finding out how is to search on Facebook. It will probably involve some sort of formatting for audio files you upload.
I presume when you say "my music" you really mean it is your music -- you singing and playing the guitar or something. Web sites are getting very wary of posting of copyright media.

Go to iTunes>Preferences>Devices and highlight the backup you want to delete and click on Delete Backup

You can't use family sharing or multiple Apple IDs with iTunes match.
ITunes match is only attached to Apple id that you used to subscribe.

Normally an Elements purchase is good for both platforms. You should only need to download and install the Mac versions of the programs and install and activate them using the serial number you have from the opriginal purchase.

I am very disappointed (yet I somewhat understand) Apple and how they completely have no interest in helping return lost items. I don't believe the person who traded me this was from around here so I don't even know where to begin. I seen on ebay you can sell them for parts but I don't really believe in doing that and would like to at least try my best to get it back to whom it belongs to. I will be contacting my local police department regarding this but I don't think they will be able to do much if it was stolen from somewhere else. Your old ID connects to an icloud account containing all your data (email, contacts, etc.) If you then use a different ID, you will connect to a different account, which results in losing all your "apple" data, like emails, contacts, calendars, etc.
However, Apple IDs are also used to connect to an itunes store account, with is different. You can keep using the old itunes store ID to keep all your purchases (but if you change to a different ID, you will lose all purchased items) and use the new ID for icloud (but losing emails, contacts, etc. from the old account).
