HT4972 Update to 6.1.1 causing problems on iPhone 4s

I updated to 6.1.1 on my iPhone 4s and I am no longer able to connect to the iTunes, store, access my email, connect to anything in Safari or anything that needs wifi in any way. I've tried resstoring, resetting but nothing is working. What is the fix for this update or how can I downgrade to a previous version?

I have similar problem after update to 6.1.1. now can't connet to WLAN as well as my friend.it causes a lot of inconvenience.

  • Latest update causes problems on iPhone 3

The most recent update for iPhone causes serious problems on my iPhone 3. The screen size is no longer accurate; top or bottom text dissapears. Some apps are no longer useable. The speed of the iPhone dropped down to ridiculous slowness. Has anyone else experienced similar issues, and more importantly, has anyone found a solution? We just got a new Macbook Pro, the iPhone is not connecting, so we cannot remove the latest update. Kind of catch 22...

The screen size is no longer accurate; top or bottom text dissapears.
Did you happens to have Zoom: ON
    in Settings > General > Accessibility >
         Zoom: ON?
         Large Text: ON?
    If so, switch it OFF.
so we cannot remove the latest update
    No, downgrading is never supported

  • Latest FireFox update 3.6.11 has caused problems with JavaScript on Last.fm

Some of the links in my Last.fm program either have disappeared or are not working. When I click on the mouse over grey button to add a song to a playlist it jumps to another window. Also lost the X to the right of my messages in my in box and sent messages to delete a message.
Used to have an 'auto-complete' in the box when adding a username but that has disappeared too. Any help?
the link I have provided below, it is the grey box (save) with the drop down arrow on the right. Has a photo of a gear in it.
It appears that since FireFox's update it is taking 20 to 30 seconds for pages to refresh.........but once they have the above problems are gone.
I have fixed this problem. Needed to add FireFox AdBlock and then entered the bad script that was timing out on all pages on LFM.
    Everything back to normal.

Thanks guys, that did the trick. I just removed a few extensions that were marked as invalid. Now I see my Compose/Preview tabs again.
    Thanks!

  • Recents updates on my windows is causing problems for Bonjour

Bonjour print service stopped working after last windows update.  My time capsule not showing up as a data location other than backup.

Got the same problem – even after the upgrade to OSX 10.10.1. A restart usally helps. Even though the calls sometimes drop I got no crackling noise problem on iOS, though.

  • I can't download updates for Firefox (which is causing problems,) because Bitdefender 2011 says it's toolbar is incompatible or something. :( Any suggestions?

I'm having trouble with internet speed/crashing/"timing out"/etc., and keep getting reminders to update Firefox, but every time I try to update it, it goes through the motions, and then Bitdefender 2011 gives me a message saying that Firefox's toolbar is incompatible or something, and so it wasn't installed. :(
Is anyone else having this problem, and, if so, is there a way to update Firefox WITHOUT taking virus protection off of my computer, or having to change to Explorer or Safari?
My ISP told me that I should update my DSL box and router to THEIR newest version (at CenturyLink,) and use Explorer, and that would take care of the problem. :(
I'm not sure about the DSL box and Netgear WIFI's connection to Explorer vs. Firefox, but I have always heard that Explorer had a higher virus rate than Firefox or Safari, so...really don't WANT to switch if I can possibly FIX the constant problems. :(
ANY help would be GREATLY appreciated!
    Thank you!

I am connected to the internet via a wireless network set up in my home. There are two other PCs connected to the network, one a desktop and the other a laptop. Neither have had any problems using or connecting to the internet. I have a DSL connection. I have tried to directly connect with the router with an ethernet cable, but the same thing happens.

  • 7.5.2 will cause problems with Iphones

    Hi All
I have found that once you have upgraded to the last Iphone IOS and Time Capsule OS 7.5.2 you won't be able to connect wirelessly anymore.
This does not seem to affect my Macbook Pro connection.
As soon as I downgraded the firmware on the Time Capsule to 7.4.2 both my wife's Iphone 3G and my Iphone 3GS connected with no problem.

I share your frustration with the speed of the fix, undoubtedly.
However, it is not unusual for Apple (compared with other companies) to not officially monitor these fora. In my personal experience, Apple does have lots of ways to sense problems. They are very open in the terms of service here that they do not monitor this forum officially. They give us this forum so we can help each other.
    But:
--They do monitor very carefully anything sent to their official feedback page (although they do not respond).
--They do look at these fora UNofficially; their engineers are not kept from reading our chats. They just don't guarantee they will.
--Geniuses at all Apple stores, and Apple's phone technical support people, have always been required to provide writeups of customer complaints, and this is often one of the first ways Apple hears about problems.
I agree fixes aren't rolled out as quickly as we might like sometimes, but Apple has always been very quick to grab equipment from me and provide me with a fully functioning replacement so they can send the hardware back to engineering to fully troubleshoot. For software, obviously they don't pull the software, but they definitely work on the problems.
Every time I speak with a genius, they check the engineering database -- which is very up to date -- to see if there's been previous reports of the problem, and if not, they create a new report. These reports go straight to the engineers pretty much immediately.

Java 6 you can't as Apple maintains it, and Java 7 you could if you uninstall it and Oracle provides the earlier version which they likely won't his last update fixed 37 remote exploits.
Java broken some software here and there, all you'll have to do is wait for a update from the other parties.

  • I deleted the 4oD app from my iPad but it still appears in the list in Settings. How do I get rid of that? It is causing problems when they issue updates as it apparently thinks I still have it when I don't.

Can any one help me get rid of a deleted app 4oD that still appears in the Settings list. I deleted it from the home screen and Spotlight search confirms it has gone. It is causing problems because I get notified of updates and I cannot get rid of them either. I have tried re-downloading via my MacBook because there isn't a download option from the iPad (App Store clearly think I still have it when I don't) then deleting again but the listing in Settings remains.
    It is really irritating me.
    Thanks.

Have you tried deleting the App within the Settings menu (rather than from the Home Screen)?
    Settings>General>Usage>
From the Apps list, find the App (press "Show all Apps" if the app is not in the immediately shown list), tap on the app you wish to delete, then tap "Delete App"

  • If I install the update to Adobe Reader 10, will that cause problems with Acrobat Pro 9?

Firefox (version 15.0.1) is telling me I need to install an update to Adobe Acrobat 9.4 in order to view pdf files in my browser. I use Acrobat Pro 9. The update is actually Adobe Reader 10, and I am wondering if I install this, will it cause problems with my version of Acrobat Pro?
Because I am not sure if this is so, I have temporarily disabled the plug-in and now pdf files download automatically rather than display in my browser. I would prefer they open in my browser but do not want to upgrade to Acrobat X.
My OS is Windows Vista. I did not include the "troubleshooting information" file because I'm not sure what specific info is being requested.
    Thanks for any help.

  • Devtools update causes problems with sudo when used in a script?

I'm a little confused by this one, but I'm not convinced that it's a bug.. yet.
Long story short, I compile packages using the ABS via a script/wrapper which uses devtools. The script is available here: https://github.com/WorMzy/compilepackage
Now, this script is far from perfect, but has worked perfectly well (in various states of completeness) for the past year or so. However, with the recent update of devtools (20120720-1 => 20121013-1), my script fails to execute correctly. After entering the password when prompted (by sudo, at this line: https://github.com/WorMzy/compilepackag … tions#L107), the script terminates unexpectedly.
Downgrading devtools "fixes" this problem, but I'm not sure if this is a bug in devtools, sudo, zsh, my script, or something else.
Here is the full output from the compilation of "arch-install-scripts":

Update: It appears that the cause is systemd's nspawn. Disabling it in mkarchroot (have_nspawn=0) resolves the problem.
However, I don't understand why it's causing this behaviour. User input works fine for the sudo password prompt, but then fails for the pacman user prompt? Do they use different input buffers or something? Does that question even make sense?
Anyway, I'll open a bug report on flyspray and upstream about this when I get the chance.

  • Installing "Java for Mac OS X 10.5 Update 6" (1.0) causing problems

    Hi,
I installed the "Java for Mac OS X 10.5 Update 6" (1.0)" yesterday evening and it caused problems:
    - network
    - date/time screwed up
    - Time Machine crashed
My environment is a MacBook Pro, running 10.5.8, all latest patches applied. During the install all other applications were closed (my once in three months cleanup of the desktop , Time Machine was not running although it might have kicked in during the download, I left it alone for install and the necessary reboot. I didn't hook it up to the power, had 82% battery left, afterwards (after all repairs) still 76%, so my guess is that is not the root cause, although I did get the power source warning and waved it away during the installs.
Looking back into the logfiles and using some gut-feeling I do think somehow the date/time seeting was screwed up and caused all other problems. The date was reset to the famous Unix starttime, Jan 1, 1970. At first I didn't notice, only after my network (Airport Extreme based) asked me WPA password and then complained about the date/time I noticed something weird.
After resetting date/time, verifying the disk for problems (none found), re-entering the WPA password, network ran again, had to re-connect with the Time Capsule and check the sparse backup-volume there before I got everything up-and-running again.
Not a very big deal, but annoying, and certainly something wrong in the update here.
    Anyone any explains ?
    Regards,
    Wim.

Sorry if I missed it...have you scoured logs for anything that might shed light on success/fail during the install?
