HT4972 Why Pages and numbers are not updating.
My pages and numbers are not updating for about a week now Why?
Some one else had a similar problem last night...same as yours. He claimed that Pages had been stuck trying to update for about week. I posted this and he said that it worked - which part he did not say - but give these things a try.
Make sure that you do not have a stalled download in iTunes - a song or podcast .... if you have a download in there that did not finish, complete that one first. Only one thing can download at a time on the iPad so that could be what is causing the problem.
If that doesn't work - sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
Settings>Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>Store>Sign in and then try to resume the download.
If you have all of your Pages files backed up in iTunes or on your Mac, this might be the answer. Try deleting the waiting icon - tap and hold down on an icon until it wiggles - the tap the X on the icon to delete it. Then try to download again.
I have deleted Pages a couple of times when I had issues with it and then reinstalled it. I even deleted a stalled Pages once and then tried the update successfully again after that. My files are always backed up in iTunes and on my Mac so I had no apprehension about deleting the waiting download.

TS3991 i can go to icloud, but keynote, pages, and numbers are not there
I have an icloud account, but cannot access pages, keynote, or numbers.
I am having the same issue for browser based iCloud access. (Macbook, iPad and iPhone programs are fine). The new beta is awful via browser. In Chrome no files are available, and in Firefox all formatting is lost when copying and pasting into Word or some other program.
This is on a Vista Business machine. I have not tried the Safari browser, but will do so. -
New Pages and Numbers are not worth the money
Bought the two new versions and am very disappointed. Apple should be ashamed to pubish these versions and charge for them. I love Apple, but these versions don't live up to the standards set by Steve Jobs.
They're free downloads for anyone running the previous version. And if you don't have the previous version installed you can buy it on a major online retail store, install it, and get the new version for free while keeping the old version on your Mac. Two apps for the price of one.

Please, Help!***For those that purchased iWork 09 not on the app store but as a retail disk copy you can get the update for iWork even though it may show $19.99 for all the apps:
You can reupdate to iWork 9.3 by going here http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1563
then after it is updated close the app store if opened then open it again and sign out then sign in and then all the iwork 2013 apps should show as update rather than $19.99 cost each. This worked for me. I bought iwork '09 on disk but it showed 19.99 each after I upgraded to Mavericks so followed the above steps and it worked. I am now updating all my iWork suite I bought on disk, NOT on the Mac app store and now I have a Mac app store set!
Apple sure has a problem that needs to be fixed otherwise iWork will eventually be free for everyone...
Someone at Apple forgot all of us old retail people before the Mac App store existed! -

Firstly I updated my ipad into ios7 and after watching the video by Apple, iWork, pages and numbers are free for download after updating iOS 7. How can I download iWork pages and number for free? Please help me.
stevejobsfan is correct; iwork for ios is free only for new purchases of new ios devices. A good work around (if you have wifi connectivity) is going to the icloud website on your ipad, and working on your document.
A word of caution (the real reason I am responding to your post). If you do a lot of 'formatting' of a document on iwork for mac, and then save it in icloud; you will probably loose most of the formatting you have done (this will be true if you oppen the document in iwork for ios; also) It happened to me, and I did not duplicate the document before saving it to icloud; I lost at least an hours worth of work. -
I have a problem.
I bought Pages and Numbers for my iMac and so far everything was OK.
Suddenly i have a problem with connection to iCloud.
Dokuments created on iMac in Pages or Numbers are not transfered to iCloud. Not uploaded to iCloud. There is a sign (small shape of iCloud), that they are waiting to be uploaded to iCloud.
I think the iCloud is OK.
i can see and manage documents in iCloud. i can create them on iPad and see them and delete them in iCloud.
But not on iMac.
i dont know what has happened and I am not abble to find the solution. It was OK till some days ago….I have a similar problem! Everything stopped working after upgrading to Mac OS 10.8.4 through the App Store. Help!

Check all your devices still have documents and data syncing turned on in settings > iCloud and that iCloud is enabled at settings > Pages. If this doesn't help, reset documents & Data from a computer at...

my iWork (pages and keynote) are not communicating with the iCloud. I haven't changed anything and all of the sudden there is no sync happening. My iCloud account is fine as i can create documents on my iPad and they appear on iCloud. However, when i change documents on my mac (documents that are supposed to be in the iCloud), the changes do not sync with my other devices nor with iCloud. Even when i create new documents on my mac and save them to iCloud, all seems okay and i can access them from my mac, however they do not show up in the iCloud and i can't access them with my other devices.
Most recent version of mountain lion updated over a month ago. New iPad in use for over a month.

Hey my dad's computer has pages and we are not sure if we can transfer it on to my computer we are shared on icloud and i dont want to have to buy it again
Have your dad log into the Mac App Store on your computer with his Apple ID and password, the same Apple ID he purchased Pages with on his computer. He should then be able to download Pages to your computer. Let us know how it goes.

How did you put the photos on yhour iPhone? Did you take them with the iPhone? If so and you have PS enabled on the iPhone they will be added to the PS on your iPad (as long as it's enabled also)

Pages and Numbers will not take dictation in iOS 8 on my iPad 4 and iPad mini.
Very frustrating -screen goes blank where keyboard should be when I touch the microphone- no keypad & dictation does not record. I have to close the document In order to get rid of the big blank space where the keyboard should be. When is this going to be fixed?it's making recordkeeping Pages and Numbers, which I use heavily, almost impossible.
also dictation in other locations such as Mail put capitals in the middle of sentences and sometimes don't capitalize first letter in a sentence (see first letter of this sentence!) and other instances like the months of the year or the days of the week. Why Inspection lot numbers are not in sequance?
Hi All,
In my business scenario I am creating inspection lot for inspection type 01. System does not create the inspection lot number in sequence for example if I do the GR system creates the inspection lot number say 1000000016, and after some time if I do the GR for the same PO and material I am getting the inspection lot number 1000000019, 25,35,175,225 like this? can some one let me know on this why this is happening? I checked in QALS table for the list. All created inspection lot numbers are not in sequence? Pls let me know
