HT4974 the Edit- button on the "Service Data" line is greyed out !!! anybody has the same problem?
the "edit" button is greyed out.......does anybody what to do?
I know this has to do with the Postgres database being corrupted - wiki also says "Error reading settings" - and this was solved in the past, but it was a long time ago and I didn't really properly document it... I'll try running the 10.7.4 combo and report back here...

Upgraded this morning. All worked fine for about 30min then "no service". Still the same problem and a reset of the device only fixes the problem for 15min. then we are back to no service?? When will apple fix this???
Tried to reset network settings ...only fixes it for 15min. Did a firmware restore and a clean new phone setup. no settings restore. still have network service after around 60min. still running 6.1. i do get a prompt that i have to update settings to LTE. Have not excepted the settings as yet. Cellular data is still set to 3G....

This is not correct solution. I have fresh/new copy of Windows 7 64 bit and I have the same problem.
Autorun only shows the Apple Bonjour service. It started when try to sync more than one iphone over WiFi. I have two iphones and an iPad. I turned off syncing over WiFi and still has high CPU utilization. One of the CPU's is pegged at 100%. It is the AppleMobileDeviceService.exe process.For the record, I then followed the suggestion of MarcDCMB in https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4291206 of just manually restarting the Apple Mobile Device service in Windows services.msc once each time after starting iTunes and the service no longer hogs CPU after that service restart. Not too painful as a work-around, and apparently an effective one, but clearly not a solution to the problem. Again, as above, all the other solutions didn't work for me and I have no conflicting software as far as I can tell. So you'd have to say this Apple's problem.
Also FTR, I am still on the 5.2.0.6 version of the Apple Mobile Device Support MSI and I don't know if that is relevant to this work-around working but my sense is that it is NOT relevant. I'll report back on this thread if I re-upgrade and the problem returns in spite of the service-restart approach. -

This is almost always a symptom of a phone that was jailbroken or hacked to unlock it.

I have the same problem, MSVCR80.dll. I "uninstalled", but can't "install" , get error message "Service "apple mobile device" failed to start. Verify that you have privleges to start service. No option works. HELP !!!! I'm NOT a computer geek !

I am living and working here in the sultanate of Oman. Its been two days that I have not been able to use viber on my iPhone unless I use VPN. I talked to colleagues who have iPhones and other apple devices and they said they are also experiencing the same problem. I tried to call up my service provider (NAWRAS) and they informed me that the problem is not on their side, that they have not blocked the app. Surprisingly, when I asked my colleagues using samsung, they said the app is working just fine. What seems to be the problem? Are the codecs (I hope I am using the right terms here) used by viber now are similar to that of the other messaging blocked apps like Tango, weChat and skype?

On iOS 8.3 using 'Keynote for iPad' the app freezes repeatedly (since the last update of April 21st) while editing slides. 30 sec. later comes alive again, then freezes again after a few editing actions. Anyone with the same problem? I tried everything 'app support' tells me except deleting and reinstalling the App because I have a lot of files that I'd lose. Recommendations anyone? [email protected]

Any one in eastern colorado having the same problem as me, no service
We upgraded to the droid razor last xmas. The new razor had worse reception than my old flip phone. I have been a Verizon customer for over 13 years. It seems that the last several months the service in our area has gotten even worse. Now to send or receive a call I have to go outside, point my head to the south, hold my tongue out to the left, cross my toes and I might get a signal. Then when I get a call through, I get dropped in the middle of a conversation. My wife is disabled, she is able to keep her cellphone with her at all times. But when she needs to get ahold of me at work, if she can get through to me, all I hear is garble. I don't know if she is ok or not. Pretty sad when I have to wonder if she could even call 911 if needed. We are paying over $200 a month for our plan and cant even use the phones in our own home. Anyone else having the same problem?

I just upgraded my 5 phones to the Razr M and I am having the same problem. I switched one of the Razr Ms to a Razr HD and it does the same. If I am lucky I will receive 2 bars in 4G while at home, with my old phone (Droid Bionic) I always had full bars. My signal strength is usually around -110dBm to -120dBm in 4G, Now that should nomally be at -75dBm for a good signal. Tech support keeps putting a ticket out, but nothing has been resolved. Verizon's solution to this problem was for me to spend another $250 on a signal booster for our house. I think it would better serve me to spend that $250 on a lawyer and file a class action lawsuit against them. We are not the only people having the problem either, people all across the country are having the same issues. My guess is that Verizon is having major issues with their LTE network and do not want to admit it. I am paying over $300 a month and I am about to cancel all five phones and go with another provider. -

I have had the same problem, so many apps do not work properly without it! Apple says the internet satellite, the Internet satellite says Apple, back and forth with the blame instead of fixing the problem. Have turned location on and off, reset everything multiple times ( lots of hours and bandwidth to download ), Siri is now working part time, I guess she has cut back her hours for the summer. Even in these forums was suggested to check with Skyhook who does the global positioning, and after hours with them, they ended up saying that they have nothing to do with it anymore, Apple does. All to no avail and much frustration! I wonder if this is happening with the iPhone's? i'd like to know if this is happening with others that do not use satellite as their ISP? That would help narrow down the argument with Apple vs. satellite. Fell for you! Someone please help us! Ta

I have downloaded an ical subscription. It appears on the sidebar as checked, but the data (holidays) are not recorded in Ical. I tried re-downloading, but the same problem exists. Can you assist?

It is possible that the subscription is not valid or up-to-date.

After updating my 4s to ios6, I'm having the same problems with wi-fi switching to cellular on it's own and running up my data usage.....anyone else having this problem?
The iPhone is DESIGNED to switch to cellular data when asleep, unless it's connected to a power source, in which case it will stay logged onto the WiFi network. iPhones have ALWAYS behaved this way.
Either turn cellular data off at night, or leave your phone connected to a power source to continue the WiFI. -
I have 4s. After I updated ios7.0.3 my wifi is geyed out. I expected after ios7.0.4 update wifi will work again, but does not. It annoying, because I have to use my data... Does anyone know when it will be fixed or does anyone have the same problem?

I made an appointment at the Genius bar, where the staff was incredibly rude and dismissive. A representative told me that the wi-fi is broken and I would need to buy a new phone for $200, because mine is out of warranty. I'm due for an upgrade in a few months, so I'm not going to pay $200 for another 4S now. I'm also not going to buy any more Apple products. Their upgrade caused this problem, and they are not standing behind their producet.
