I am trying to update my apps and get new apps but my apple ID listed is an old inactive email address. How do I change it to my new email address? The new email address is in settings and is on my apple account. The only place the old one shows up is in the apps store - installing and updating. What do I do?

Apps are permanently tied to the Apple ID used to purchase them whether you are using the Apple ID for new purchases or not. All future updates will require the password for this original Apple ID. This can't be changed. The only way to stop this would be to delete these apps from your phone and iTunes library and repurchase them using your current ID.

If your device is signed into an old iCloud ID that is an earlier version of the ID you want to sign in with, do the following:
If you are using iMessage and FaceTime, make sure you are signed into these services with your current ID. If they are signed into the old ID, go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive and Settings>FaceTime, tap the ID, sign out, then sign back in with your current ID.
Then temporarily recreate the old ID by going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. (You should not have to verify the old email account so it doesn’t matter if you no longer have access to it.) Now go to Settings>iCloud, turn off Find My iDevice and enter your current password when prompted (even though it prompts you for the password for your old ID). Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll (unless you are using iCloud Photo Library). When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Sign Out (or Delete Account if you are not running iOS 8) and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address back to the way it was. You should be able to go to your software on your computer and click on the >Scanner Actions section.
Then click on>Scan to E-Mail Wizard
This should bring up a screen to edit, change, or delete the stored email addresses for scan to email.

Settings > Facetime.
Tap your Apple ID, sign out then sign back in with new AppleID.
Settings > Messages.
Turn off iMessages, wait 10 seconds, then turn it back on. Go to 'Receive messages at' and then tap your Apple ID. Sign out of the old ID, then sign in with new Apple ID.
Settings > iCloud.
Delete the account (make sure to KEEP the information on your phone), then turn it back on with new Apple ID.
Also, delete any apps that were downloaded with the 'old' Apple ID, then reinstall them with your 'new' ID.

So I created a new email and a new Apple ID online but when i put it the new Apple ID in my phone it says its incorect and shows my username as my old email that i had. I tried setting up my existing e-mail account on a different computer. I must have mistyped and this account does not match my existing account. I tried to remove the wrong account but the Remove Account optio won't highlight? Any suggestions?
