HT4993 I restored my phone to factory settings. HELP PLEASE!

I had to restore my phone to factory settings after an upgrade on itunes went bad. Now I have lost ALL my info: contacts, texts, emails, pics etc!! HELP PLEASE! Each time I have connected my phone to my computer it has backed up. When I restored and it asks if I want a previous backup (YES!) it does NOT show the backup I need with all my info. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. I am frantic that I lost all my information!!

I did back up. On Apple I read if I restored I could use a previous back up. But when I have connected my phone to my computer 2x this morning, it backed up. I need to get to the 3rd previous back up. Any suggestions please?

Try 1 step at a time and do a backup, if no joy then do the next step:
1. Switching off your anti-virus and firewall.
2. Computer iTunes menu > Edit > Preferences... > Devices > delete your backup

I was prompted with the 'No Service' message. When i tried to switch it on again, it showed the iTunes icon and plug. Correct.
That is why it is both Prudent and Recommended to Backup on a regular basis... at least Weekly.

Then they're gone for good, if they're not in your backup.
This is why is is STRONGLY recommended to use your phone as Apple intends: synch your contacts with a contact manager program on your computer or with a cloud service, and import your photos taken by the iPhone to your computer as soon as possible.

You do not necessarily need to restore the device to factory settings, but rather sign out of the four services that utilize your Apple ID: iCloud, iMessage, FaceTime, and iTunes & App Stores. Once signed out, you can sign in with a new Apple ID. For more information, see the following article:

"Windows could not complete the installation" after restoring Lenovo T61 to factory settings, help!

Hi everyone;
I recently tried to restore T61 laptop to factory settings and I received the message "Windows could not complete the installation. To install windows on this computer, restart the installation". I used Dr. Google to see if I could fix the problem; but unfortunately after re-starting multiple times, restoring to factory settings (after changes to the Administrator account as well as "Oobe" settings, in any number of combinations); I still get the same error message. Any thoughts? I'm attempting to reinstall Windows Vista Business. I do apologize I'm not a computer person so if you need any additional details please let me know; thanks in advance!

It may be a good idea to run a couple of hardware tests.
Shut down the notebook.
Tap away at the esc key as you start the notebook to enter the Start-up Menu. Select the Diagnostic Menu option ( f2 ) and run the tests on the Hard Drive and Memory.
If you get any error messages/codes, post back with the details.
If the tests pass, you can order a replacement set of Recovery Discs starting on the link below - the cost does vary a little depending on where you live, but they're generally inexpensive.

Your friend won't be able to use your apps & the SLA does not permit you to share them with your friend anyway. You might as well restore the phone as a new device before sending the phone to your friend. That way, they can set it up themselves.

How can I restore a phone to factory settings without a menu or "Options"

My daughters phone. 1 year old. She can text and rec texts. Call and receive calls. Alarm clock works. When she hits menu it is blank. She has no Applications. Also the hour glass spins for a minute or two before it turns on. We went to ATT store and they suggested restoring the phone. THat isn't an option becuase she doesn't have the "OPTIONS BUTTON" available to her.
She called tech support thru ATT and they were not able to make any suggestions. ANy ideas.
And NO she did not ever back up her phone to her computer.

Have you done a battery-pop reboot? It can clear some things up. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation.
After that, you can decide if you want to to a Wipe...but one step at a time.

I've turned off imatch on my computer and turned it back on. I've turned imatch off on my phone and turned it back on. I spent HOURS on this yesterday. Coincidentally, two of my playlists were deleted from itunes. So I spent quite a bit of time recreating them only to find them missing again today. The ONLY way for me to get music on my phone is to click on the ...more tab and go to shared and pull music from my actual desktop. Restoring my iphone is not an option. I am completely frustrated so if anyone can help, that would be great

Take the following steps:
1) while connected to wifi, toggle off then back on the Show All Music and iTunes Match options shown in my original post. Important: I did this step before, but wasn't connected to wifi, and my music disappeared. Subsequently, I connected to wifi and turned off and then back on those options and everything came back though it was grayed out and my only option was to download music.
2) To get streaming over cellular back, go into Settings>General>Cellular and scroll down to the "Use Cellular Data for:" options and make sure the iTunes option is set to 'On'
The above steps will bring back the streaming capability which seemed to go away when you update to 6.1. It didn't ACTUALLY go away, but something about the update toggled off the iTunes option in step 2 above.
I did a final test by turning off wifi, opening Music app and selecting a song. It played successfully without downloading! Crossing my fingers, but I think I'm good to go!
