No one can tell me how to do this. Sprint tells me it is illegal, But I bought the phone, and paid cash for it. There is no contract on it. I should be able to take it to any carrier I want.
Your Sprint Phone is permanently locked in firmware to Sprint as far as the CDMA radio goes - no way (for all intents and purposed) to unlock that. The GSM side of the iPhone 4S is locked to Sprint for international roaming use with a Sprint SIM and international plan. If they choose to not unlock the SIM slot, that is their option - there is no law that requires them to offer unlocking.

I have iPhone 5 on Sprint. My husband is also on Sprint and my iMessage to him seems to work whenever it wants. I can iMessage to friends who have Verizon at the exact same time I am trying to iMessage my husband and the iMessages will go to and from the Verizon friends just fine, but not to my husband. With him its not even pretending to send our messages as iMessages. The send bar isn't even blue to him. To me this seems like an issue with the Sprint Network, but I wanted to see if anyone had had the same/simmilar issues and it ended up being the phone.
I can tell you that with Sprint their coverage area isn't as good as Verizon or AT&T.
Are you sending these imessage while on wifi or cellular data? Also your husband would need to be in a good coverage area.
Usually when imessage is unavailable it will send it as a text. Does your husband receive your imessage as a text? -

You will have to contact orange to get your phone unlock. ONly the carrier that the phone is locked to can unlock the phone.

The ONLY place that can unlock the iphone is the carrier to which it is locked.
You would have to contact Vodafone in Spain. -

Well your in the wrong place to do this.
In order to have your phone unlock, you will need to contact the carrier that the phone is locked to only the carrier is authorized to unlock the phone. -
